China debuted its J-20 stealth fighter Tuesday at Airshow China in the southern city of Zhuhai.
Two J-20s made a brief appearance in the show’s opening ceremonies, performing a series of maneuvers and generating enough noise to set off car alarms in a nearby parking lot, Reuters reported.

(CNN) Two of China’s brand new, top-of-the-line stealth fighter jets streaked and screamed across an air exhibition on Tuesday as Beijing showed its newest military hardware to the public for the first time.
The J-20 fighter is called Beijing’s answer to the US F-22 stealth fighter and the F-35 that will be soon deployed in the Pacific by the United States and Japan. …
The J-20 is bigger than the J-31 but both are considered big steps in making China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force a Pacific power.
“The J -20 aircraft is China’s own new generation stealth fighter, developed to meet the needs of the future battleground,” Chinese air force spokesman Sr. Col. Shen Jinke said last week.
“Research and development are progressing as planned, Shen said.

China has once again shown off new military technology. This is likely to get the USA to focus more on Asia and overlook the power that is starting to arise in Europe.
Many in Asia are concerned about China’s rising military presence. The USA has tended to support those that oppose China’s positions on the South China Sea.
But, not all have been impressed with the USA. The President of the Philippines recently made a deal with China, and yesterday so did Malaysia:

BEIJING — After unleashing an anti-American tirade in Beijing last week, President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines left some Chinese, who like tightly scripted state visits, wondering if their unpredictable guest could be trusted.
Yet his alacrity in accepting direct talks over the disputed South China Sea, and his gratitude for $24 billion in investment and financing deals, also left the broad impression that China may have started a strategic realignment in Southeast Asia by bringing an important American ally to its side.
Countries like Vietnam, which had been edging closer to the United States, and Malaysia and Thailand, which were moving toward Beijing, may now see the value in drawing closer to China, analysts said.
“China has improved relations with Duterte immediately, and set up a way to settle the South China Sea disputes peacefully,” said Yan Xuetong, a professor of international relations at Tsinghua University and a prominent foreign policy hawk. “Generally speaking, this problem in the South China Sea is over, and the United States cannot do anything now.”
The Philippines, a treaty ally of the United States since 1951, has been regarded as one of the fundamental pro-American countries in Asia.
In his declaration that he was seeking a “separation” from the United States — a statement that he scaled back when he got home — Mr. Duterte seemed to signal that he was dumping his country’s longtime ally and former colonial power.

BEIJING — Malaysia’s prime minister arrived in China on Monday with warm words for his hosts, a thirst for Chinese money and, for the first time, a promise of significantly closer defense ties with the purchase of Chinese naval coastal patrol ships.
Najib Razak called himself a “true friend” of China, determined to take their relationship to “new heights” — echoing the pro-China outreach by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte two weeks ago when he proclaimed a “separation” from his country’s longtime U.S.-oriented policies.
The twin nods toward China reinforce the regional narrative of American decline and China’s inexorable rise. They also showcase Beijing’s apparent ability to buy off rivals for disputed territory in the South China Sea, which China claims as its own despite strong objections from the Pentagon and U.S. allies in the region.
“Malaysia being a South China Sea claimant, and hot on the heels of Duterte, there is an obvious symbolism there,” said Euan Graham, director of the international security program at the Lowy Institute for International Policy in Sydney. “In the maritime geopolitical aspect, it’s almost back to dominoes. The Philippines has caved, and Malaysia looks wobbly.” …
Obama’s strategic rebalance, or “pivot,” to Asia has proved a disappointment in many capitals, with the ambitious 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement in deep trouble. China, by contrast, can offer piles of cash and promises of investment without tortuous negotiations or exacting conditions.
The U.S. military has been unable to prevent China’s island reclamation program in the South China Sea, while Duterte’s pledge to throw out U.S. troops has been another blow — even if many experts predict a less dramatic shift in Philippine foreign policy than its erratic president might threaten.
“The pivot hasn’t had the impact it ought to have had,” said Michael Montesano, a senior fellow at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore. “It has failed to reduce the doubts that were already there about U.S. staying power and commitment to the region.”
Of course, not all nations in Asia are looking towards China, but many are, to use an American expression, “hedging their bets.” They see China’s rise, various declines in the USA, and hence think they see that the “handwriting is on the wall.”
While few seem to really know how this will end, the Bible tells of a time when there will be a confederation of the ‘kings of the east’ that will get together:
12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Revelation 16:12-16)
This will include Russia, China, Korea, Japan, and probably Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. Things will one day dramatically change, militarily, in Asia, in terms of cooperation.
Notice also the following:
13 Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed–by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths(Revelation 9:13-18).
Only China, and possibly India and others in Asia (many of which will one-day align themselves with China and Russia against the European Empire), are capable of fielding a two hundred million man army. Thus, Revelation appears to be discussing an Asian role in the end-time prophecies.
Although the Chinese flag itself is basically red and yellow, consider that the colors of the Chinese flag for its navy and air force is military is red, blue, and yellow. Also, notice the colors of the insignia that many of its troops wear:
Those are the same colors mentioned in Revelation 9:17.
Interestingly, there were only about 100,000,000 males (including children) on the entire earth when God had the Apostle John pen the prophecy in Revelation 9:16 that a 200,000,000 man army would form (Rastogi VB, Kishore B. A Complete Course in ISC Biology. Pitambar Publishing, 1997, p. 24). This means, despite those who claim that the Book of Revelation was fulfilled centuries ago (see The Dangerous Rise of Preterists), that the prophecy about the 200 million man army is for a time like we are now in.
The USA, itself, tends to be focusing on how to deal with China and Russia and the Middle East, which is part of why it will not see what is prophetically happening in Europe. The current world order dominated by the USA, and formerly by the UK is being changed.
The Bible shows that the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) is getting nearer–and that will greatly affect the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand which have descendants from Jacob also known as Israel. The Bible also tells of the final time of the Gentiles. (Luke 21:23-24; Revelation 11:2), which means the time when the descendants of Israel will no longer dominate the world scene. We are getting closer to that time (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?).
Consider also that the ‘Armageddon’ prophecy involves international cooperation of nations in the far east. We are witnessing more cooperation in Asia with China now. This is a prelude to the coming cooperation that will lead to the gathering at Armageddon.
