Donald Trump pulled off what at least 16 other Republican hopefuls failed to do–he became the official presidential nominee of his party a few hours ago. Some in Australia may see this as a positive:

Australia is better equipped to curry favour with Donald Trump and his advisers as a result of Tony Abbott’s decision to rapidly increase the nation’s military budget, Joe Hockey says.
Mr Trump, who was today confirmed as Republican Party’s presidential nominee, has flagged withdrawing American forces from the Asia-Pacific including possibly 25,000 troops from South Korea, the Fifth Fleet from Japan and marines from Okinawa.

Australia has realized that it cannot defend itself against possibly Asian threats. The reality is that the USA will ultimately not save it–even if Donald Trump is elected and is pleased that Australia has increased its military spending and has been supportive of the USA militarily.
While there was a stop Trump movement, it failed. Here is how well he did in terms of delegates:

Announcing Trump’s nomination for president, Chairman Paul Ryan said Trump received 1,725 votes — well over the 1,237 he needed. While this may suggest a unified Republican party, that is still not the case. Many Republicans and Republican leaders cannot stand Donald Trump. But he is their party’s nominee.

Donald Trump, having clinched the Republican Party’s nomination for the Nov. 8 presidential election, threatens U.S. and world security with his “politics of fear and isolation,” German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Wednesday.
Steinmeier told Reuters in a written interview that he was concerned about what he called Trump’s ambiguous vows to “make America strong again,” while simultaneously reducing its engagement overseas.
“That is contradictory and it makes me concerned,” Steinmeier said as he headed to Washington for meetings with other foreign and defense ministers to assess the U.S.-led effort to defeat the Islamic State extremist group.

Germany has already started to take steps. Within the last week, the German cabinet approved a plan to increase German military spending and the number of people in its military (watch Germany ready for military leadership?).
Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is not the only German who has publicly expressed concerns about Donald Trump.

BERLIN German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel has criticized leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as a right-wing populist whose political views pose a threat to peace and prosperity.
The comments by Gabriel, economy minister and leader of the Social Democrats, are the clearest sign yet that ruling politicians in Europe are increasingly worried about the outcome of the U.S. presidential elections.
“Whether Donald Trump, Marine le Pen or Geert Wilders – all these right-wing populists are not only a threat to peace and social cohesion, but also to economic development,” Gabriel told Welt am Sonntag newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.
Gabriel said that Trump and France’s Le Pen were promising voters “a way back into a fairytale world” in which economic activity only happened within national borders but that history has shown such isolated economies have no chance to develop.

Consider that the German Vice Chancellor does not like Donald Trump’s positions on trade and that he wants “globalisation in a fair way,” in other words, he wants Germany to be able to negotiate trade agreements like Germany wants, not what someone focused on the interests of the USA wants.

If he gets elected as the next President of the United States, he absolutely will be. But even if he does not, his mere rise in the USA and then securing the nomination of the Republic Party has told the Europeans, in general, and the Germans, in particular, that the USA has the potential to turn massively away from them and parts of their agenda.
This will NOT bode well for the USA according to biblical prophecy (cf. Daniel 11:39).
Other than national repentance, the real solution for the USA (and its Anglo-Saxon allies, like Australia) is the Kingdom of God.
