Germany and France want united trade and military positions to stand against Donald Trump

The Europeans are meeting and want to dominate international trade and have a military that is independent of the USA:

Chancellor Angela Merkel received her French counterpart on a building site in central Berlin on Thursday, and German media delighted in the symbolism. …

“We need an open debate and at the end the ability to compromise,” Merkel said, before promising that an agreement would be reached by the summer – and warning that Europe could only represent its interests internationally as one. …

said Macron, … “We live in a moment of European adventure that is truly unique. Also within our states there are serious doubts and strong nationalistic visions.”

We need to talk about Trump

The two leaders were also asked about their impending trips next week to visit US President Donald Trump in Washington, who has disrupted the usual harmony between the US and the EU with his talk of trade tariffs.

“We live in a time when there are differences,” Merkel answered carefully, “and of course we will discuss those differences, and today we will talk about how we will introduce the European perspective.” …

“On the trade issues, I think I can say that we (Merkel and Macron) both believe in respecting the multilateral framework that the trade organizations represent and that the European Commission represents,” added the French president.

Topping the agenda on Thursday will be talks on bolstering European defence cooperation, with Macron calling for a joint intervention force and joint military doctrine.

The way in which the European Union and its member states responded to recent strikes by the US, France, and the UK on Syrian chemical weapons targets very clearly exposes the strengths and weaknesses of European power.

One or two Europeans are movers, but most are shakers. …

Individual EU leaders have been similarly weak. Take Germany, for example. While strongly condemning the use of chemical weapons, even before the US/French/UK strikes, Chancellor Angela Merkel ruled out, not once but twice, any German involvement in punitive action against Syria. Germany’s military, she said, “will not participate in possible military actions”, while emphasising that there was a need to “send a clear signal that the use of chemical weapons is unacceptable”.

US President Donald Trump has been urging European members of NATO and the EU to take on more of the responsibility of dealing with major international security problems, including the use of chemical weapons in Syria. He has repeatedly called for increases in defence spending to meet NATO targets. Trump has also been deeply critical on other issues, such as trade policy.

The EU response – and that of its members – to the joint strikes in Syria will have done little to persuade Trump that these calls are being taken seriously. It will reinforce the President’s apparent view that France and the UK are the most dependable partners for the US in the EU, leaving only France after Brexit.

French President Emmanuel Macron is doing all he can to demonstrate that France is a mover, not a shaker. Apart from France’s involvement in the Syria actions, he made a very important speech this week to the European parliament setting out a clear vision for Europe and the case for Europe to be much more active in defending Western values, including democracy.

Germany also needs to lead on such issues, commensurate with its economic and strategic weight in Europe and globally. We all understand the difficulties it has faced in forming a new government, and the limits on the use of its power Germany feels as a result of its history. The closing comment that Germany becomes a mover again is a call for Germany to become militaristic.

Many decades ago, leaders in the old Radio Church of God published the following related to prophecy, Germany, and France:

This soon-coming union of ten nations or governments prophetically represents the last “head” of the resurrected “beast”-the revival of the “Holy Roman Empire” (Rev. 17 :9- 1 2). But contrary to what you may think, it wiIl NOT consist only of Gentile nations. It will INCLUDE a group of ISRAELITISH nations. “Come out of her , my people,” says God in Revelation 18:4. “My people” means Israelites in Bible prophecy. Yes, once again, Joseph’ s own brothers will sell him to the Gentiles!

Germans … want over and above all nations …

This Union of 10 Kingdoms is already in formation in Europe. In fact, France is at present one of its key members. As this prophecy reveals, this union will receive authority “for one hour” only-that is, a short time-because it is like “iron mixed with miry clay” (Dan. 2:43) …

During the last two WORLD WARS France was at the side of her natural allies, the Anglo-Saxons. They are, indeed, her natural allies because the French people, in turn, are the modern DESCENDANTS of one of the twelve tribes of Israel, namely REUBEN! The situation, however, will be quite different during the next WORLD WAR, France will no longer fight at the side of her former allies; she will turn AGAINST them. The descendants of Reuben will play their part in selling into slavery their brother Joseph – just as Reuben did some 3700 years ago. . (Apartian D. France: The Enigma of our Time. As far as Germany goes, Germany is dominating the new European Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) military organization (With PESCO, EU entering a ‘New Era’: An era that will NOT end well for the USA, Canada, or the UK). It has been (correctly) reported that PESCO is about war, not peace (see ‘PESCO is not about peace, it is about preparing for EU wars’). But PESCO will be more than about some small war, what is happening in Europe (whether or not the term PESCO will be used) is going to result in World War III.

While Europe has, and will have, problems with its own unity (see Daniel 2:41-43), we are seeing that many want Europe to reorganize (which will happen per Revelation 17:12-13), increase its economic and trade influence, and be able to be militarily independent (and superior in a sense to the USA, cf. Daniel 11:39). Expect to see church involvement in the future as well.

As far as a European military goes, the Bible teaches that Europe will have a great army:

25 “He shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the South with a great army. (Daniel 11:25)

The “He” is identified as the final prophesied European King of the North in Daniel 11:40 (watch also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).

The Bible shows that Europe will be a warring power (Daniel 11:39-44). It also shows that the success of the European Beast, King of the North, power will cause the world to marvel as well as defeat the strongest military power:

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)

The Beast of Revelation 13 and the “he” of Daniel 11:39 is a European leader, also called the King of the North. Notice that the strongest military power–which currently is the USA–will be taken over.

Europe is looking to unite and arise militarily. And it is now starting to tell the world publicly that it intends to do so. The world will be surprised when conquering by Europe happens, which is part of why I have long written that European technology will be a key factor in this (as will be deception and problems in the USA).

While Europe has been relying on the USA for defense, the time will come when Europe concludes it not only does not need the USA, but that it would prefer to destroy it!

The Europeans are mad at the USA for many reasons (including its President Trump), the UK for the Brexit vote, and will decide that places like Canada are too connected to them.

The USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies will be defeated (Daniel 8:24-25).

The Bible teaches that this will come to pass (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).
