European finance ministers are worried. They say the United States’ big tax reform bill contains measures that would unfairly disadvantage European business and contravene global fair-taxation rules. Are they right?
Last week, the finance ministers of Europe’s five biggest economies — Germany, France, the UK, Spain and Italy — wrote an anxious letter to their American colleague, US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin, and copied it to all senior Republican politicians in the Congress and Senate.
The letter’s thrust: The draft US tax bill, if passed as written a week ago, would represent a break with global fair-taxation rules as applied to corporations, and represent a thinly disguised form of trade war.
“The United States is Europe’s single most important trade and investment partner,” the finance ministers wrote. “It is important that the U.S. government’s rights over domestic tax policy be exercised in a way that adheres with international obligations to which it has signed-up. The inclusion of certain less conventional international tax provisions could contravene the US’s double taxation treaties and may risk having a major distortive impact on international trade.”

The Germans and other Europeans are also upset about his comments related to Jerusalem:

The danger is that Trump’s row could spiral out of control, causing long-term damage to the UN and to the reform programme of the secretary general, António Guterres. The US has already pulled out of Unesco, and the current head of the UN high commissioner for human rights, Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, this week announced he was not seeking a second term, saying he would not bend the knee to the US.
Still worse, Trump’s bullying of the UN may obscure the seriousness of the issue at hand. Moving the US embassy to Jerusalem is not a real estate decision. Recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel challenges the peace process, discomforts Saudi Arabia, America’s closest ally in the Middle East, and sets the US apart from its closest European allies, who have advocated a two-state solution for 40 years.

And the USA has indicated it will be angry at the Europeans who do not support President Trump’s decision:
The world’s diplomats can consider themselves on notice. Donald Trump will be watching closely when the U.N.’s general assembly votes on the status of Jerusalem Thursday, and U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley will be “taking names” of those who fall out of line.
The terse warning was made in a letter from Haley to other countries, including U.S. allies in Europe and elsewhere, ahead of the vote on a symbolic resolution rejecting the Trump administration’s recent recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
“As you consider your vote, I encourage you to know the president and the U.S. take this vote personally,” read the letter, according to multiple media outlets that have viewed the document.

European officials insist they will continue to observe the agreement, reminding Iran it must do the same. …
Lack of accord between US and EU

Notice that this is being portrayed as a terrible betrayal of European allies.
Back in 2015 and 2016, I issued warnings that Donald Trump would offend the Europeans:

Europe is so concerned about all this that it is working on its own army and it intends to be independent of the USA (see ‘PESCO helps to ensure a more secure Europe for its citizens’ and PESCO: The making of a European Defence Union).

China’s partnership with former U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration helped get nearly 200 countries to support the Paris climate change pact in 2015.
That agreement, which looks to limit the rise in average global temperature to “well below” 2 degrees Celsius compared with pre-industrial levels, entered into force late last year, binding nations that ratified to draft national plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
But despite Beijing’s green policy drive, propelled by domestic anger over smog and the environmental devastation wrought by rapid economic growth, some EU officials are skeptical it can pull as much weight as the United States on climate issues.

Trump’s attack on the climate will fail, spectacularly
President Donald Trump’s most recent assault on the environment not only makes the US into a rogue state on climate change. It will also fail in its goal to create jobs and stimulate the economy, says DW’s Sonya Diehn.

US President Donald Trump’s latest attempt to pander to a tiny constituency – aside from being a thinly veiled gift to the fossil fuel industry – is bound to fail.
In a PR event on Tuesday, Trump stood flanked by coal miners and climate-denying Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt as he announced his latest assault on global environmental security.
Not only does Trump’s executive order deny the existence of climate change, it also rejects the existence of well-documented risks resulting from our changing climate
What, then, will be the result of this executive order?
Step toward self-destruction
Trump’s executive order reversing the climate protections introduced by former President Barack Obama will stand as another milestone in a gradually failing administration.
Just as Trump demonstrated a lack of knowledge, negotiating skills and general competency in the dramatic failure of Trumpcare last week, so too will this executive order ultimately act to undermine the administration.
Even if it does salvage some coal jobs, this won’t outweigh missed opportunities in the renewables sector. It’s a round conclusion that the US turning its back on the development of renewable energy will set the country back economically. …

The Trump Administration’s position on ‘climate change’ upset the Europeans. His executive orders in March 2017 got the USA to be called a “rogue state” (watch also The USA Declared a ‘Rogue Nation’!) and his position at the Hamburg G20 meeting in July 2017 was called deplorable by Germany’s Chancellor Merkel (see G20 concludes with increased tension with the USA; Pope Francis pushes for federal Europe).
His position at a G7 meeting was called “a watershed” moment in a Twitter post by Richard N. Haas, the president of the Council on Foreign Relations:

The separation between the USA and Europe is going to become even more real (though many will act like it is not until it is too late for the USA).
The list of complaints that Europe has against the USA is growing.
More and more in Europe want to do something about the Donald Trump situation. The seeds for a strong European leader to arise promising peace are being sown.
Europe will one day support a dictatorial strongman. The Bible calls him the Beast of the Sea (Revelation 13:1-10; to prove this leader must be European, please watch the video: Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?) and the King of the North (Daniel 11:40).
Europe is concluding that the USA does not want to support its political and economic agenda.

Because of US President Donald Trump’s position on ‘climate change’ as well as certain executive orders from him, the USA has been declared a rogue nation by various ones in Europe, Africa, Asia, and other parts of the world. How does Webster’s Dictionary define ‘rogue’? Is it possible that considering that the USA is a rogue nation will be part of the justification for it getting taken over in the future? Bloomberg reported that the New World Order is leaving the USA behind. Other secular news sources are also reporting the rise of a new world order and decline of the influence of the USA. What about NAFTA, the Paris Accords, TPP, TWO, and NATO? Russia, China and Europe are all working towards reducing dominance of the USA. Is this consistent with biblical prophecy? The new US tax bill (which Europe claims violates international law), the Jerusalem declaration (which Europe believes will not lead to peace), disparaging the Iran nuclear deal (which Europe believes helps peace), pulling back from the Paris climate accords (which the Europeans consider to be a disaster for the planet), plus the UK’s Brexit (which has horrified the Europeans) are convincing the Europeans that a new world order is needed. An order NOT dominated by America or the UK.
Europe will one day conclude that it not only does not need America for its defense, but that it also wants the USA gone (Isaiah 10:4-12)–and one day it will make that happen (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).
The Bible warns that ‘friends’ will be a factor in the destruction of the USA (Lamentations 1:1-2).
Donald Trump’s rhetoric is getting Europe to conclude it has no other choice but to pursue policies that differ from the USA.
This will not end well for the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses), its Anglo-Saxon allies (Daniel 8:24-25), nor ultimately Europe (cf. Daniel 11:44-45).
