COP24 and the False Gospel
The United Nations is holding a conference in Poland related to climate change called COP24. It also known as the Katowice Climate Change Conference. It is being held between 2 and 14 December 2018 in Katowice, Poland.

There’s a lot at stake at the UN climate conference in Poland. Delegates will be scrambling to save the 2015 Paris climate agreement — and prevent the worst effects of a warming world.
It was just three years ago. But the euphoric celebrations in Paris now seem a distant memory.
The United Nations’ 190-plus states had finally wrestled together an agreement that the Earth’s temperature shouldn’t rise by more than 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) above preindustrial levels. Better still, that it should go up by considerably less. …
A year after the Paris agreement, Donald Trump was elected president of the United States. It wasn’t long before he withdrew from the climate treaty.
“As president, I have one obligation, and that obligation is to the American people,” Trump said at a press conference in the garden of the White House, claiming that the climate agreement would hurt the US economy and jobs and undermine the country’s sovereignty. …

The naturalist Sir David Attenborough has said climate change is humanity’s greatest threat in thousands of years.
The broadcaster said it could lead to the collapse of civilisations and the extinction of “much of the natural world”.
He was speaking at the opening ceremony of United Nations-sponsored climate talks in Katowice, Poland.
The meeting is the most critical on climate change since the 2015 Paris agreement.
Sir David said: “Right now, we are facing a man-made disaster of global scale. Our greatest threat in thousands of years. Climate change.
“If we don’t take action, the collapse of our civilisations and the extinction of much of the natural world is on the horizon.”
The naturalist is taking up the “People’s Seat” at the conference, called COP24. He is supposed to act as a link between the public and policy-makers at the meeting.
“The world’s people have spoken. Their message is clear. Time is running out. They want you, the decision-makers, to act now,” he said.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary-General, said climate change was already “a matter of life and death” for many countries. …
for the likes of China and the EU, the meeting is critical. They will want to show that international co-operation can still work even in the age of President Trump. …
Although the US has withdrawn from the Paris agreement, it cannot leave until 2020, so its negotiators have been taking part in meetings and have not obstructed the process. America is expected to participate in COP24.
However, given the President’s well known love of coal, it has been reported that the White House will once again organise a side event promoting fossil fuels. A similar event at the last COP provoked outrage from many delegates. https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-46398057

In 2018, we are now seeing more and more in Europe outraged with Donald Trump and the USA on this.
Furthermore, we continue to have political and religious leaders push a false gospel that the nations of the world, without repentance, can stop ‘climate change.’

Pope: ‘Time Is Running Out, We Must Act’

VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis urged governments on Friday to make good on their commitments to curb global warming, warning that climate change, continued unsustainable development and rampant consumption threatens to turn the Earth into a vast pile of “rubble, deserts and refuse.”
Francis made the appeal at a Vatican conference marking the third anniversary of his landmark environmental encyclical “Praise Be.” The document, meant to spur action at the 2015 Paris climate conference, called for a paradigm shift in humanity’s relationship with Mother Nature. …

Pope Francis’ ‘Praise Be’ encyclical is better known with its original title, Laudato Si . This is a false ‘gospel’ as well as is the United Nation’s ‘New Universal Agenda, which he has pushed for and endorsed–which essentially was approved by the COP21 conference in Paris about three years ago.
In 2016, Pope Francis was given the ‘International Charlemagne Prize.’ It is awarded annually by the German city of Aachen for “contributions to European unity.” Charlemagne, himself, was the first one crowned emperor of the old ‘Holy Roman Empire’ (800 A.D.). The Vatican has long pushed European unity–but this frequent ‘climate focus’ is relatively new. Notice that Pope Francis is pushing for Europe to bring about a human form of utopia–that will NOT happen. Europe needs the Kingdom of God (consider also watching the video Millennial Utopia). The pope’s dream of a European utopia will be a nightmare when a version is realized.
Yet, he and others keep pushing for it.
The Bible tells of a Babylonian unity between Europe and the church on the seven-hills in Revelation 17:1-9.
Although that relationship will end (Revelation 17:15-16), the Bible tells of a religious leader who is instrumental in promoting the final European Beast of the sea in Revelation 13.
They are promoting a false gospel. We made the following video that discusses that:
A Different False Gospel
While there have been a variety of false gospels since at least the time of Simon Magus and the Gnostics, there is a relatively new one being pushed by major leaders of the world’s churches. Essentially, leaders are teaching that ‘climate change’ is related to salvation, the unpardonable sin, and something called the ‘social gospel.’ This is being pushed by leaders including Pope Francis of the Church of Rome, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of the Eastern Orthodox Church, and Olav Tveit of the World Council of Churches. Is this a false gospel consistent with Galatians 1:6-11? Are these angels of light or something else (cf. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 )? While it is good to not pollute, will the ecumenical climate change agenda work according to the Bible? Dr. Thiel address these issues and more.

This false gospel is one that does not involve repentance towards God, does not require accepting Jesus as the only name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), nor does it embrace “the faith once delivered to the saints.”
The UN, Vatican, and others are promoting a worldly view that without repentance, but through international cooperation of unconverted leaders, the world will be able to solve its problems.
While trying to pollute less is a proper goal, the Bible shows that what the UN and others are working towards will not succeed.
Twice the Bible warns:
There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12, 16:25)
Instead of humans fixing the world’s problems, Jesus warned:
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22)
That is what will happen.
As far as the ecological situation, the Bible shows that ‘climate change’ will get much worse:
8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory. (Revelation 16:8-9)
However, the above prophecy is for several years into the future–we are not too near that yet. But COP24 is a false gospel in that no matter what agreements happen, the world will still get scorchingly high heat in the future.
Furthermore, with international efforts to push towards globalism, often now without the USA, the world will create something claimed to fulfill the vision of Pope Francis, Europe, and the UN. But that will not bring lasting peace–it will end in death and destruction.
The Bible is clear that a new world will then come, led by the returning Jesus.
That will be the millennial Kingdom of God, not the contents of Laudato Si or something like what COP24 is working on.
