We put out several Bible News Prophecy channel videos about why US President Donald Trump is apocalyptic. Our purpose was not political, but religious.

We want people to realize that biblical prophecies are coming to pass as well as how world leaders are, basically unintentionally, making statements and taking actions that align with properly understood biblical prophecies.

The Church of Rome sometimes sees prophetic ramification associated with politics. Before getting to some of the latest related to Donald Trump and other matters, let’s go back to 2008:

And the USA did suffer a cultural earthquake because of Barack Obama. His blatant non-enforcement of the Defense of Marriage Act, in violation of his oath to defend the laws of the USA, combined with his views on abortion, government spending, international relationships, and soft pornography hurt not only people in the USA, but many around the world (see also Prophecies of Barack Obama?).

However, the Vatican itself was more circumspect about Barack Obama as it shared aspects of his agenda. Both the Vatican and Barack Obama wanted the USA to have less influence around the world and wanted to promote an ecumenical and interfaith agenda.

But with Donald Trump in office, we have a pontiff who does not care for the current US president. Who, like Barack Obama can also be described as “aggressive, disruptive and apocalyptic,” if not more so.

The Vatican seems to have endorsed an article indicating that Donald Trump’s Administration is apocalyptic:

Pope Francis allies accuse Trump White House of ‘apocalyptic geopolitics’

An explosive article written by two close associates of Pope Francis has accused Steve Bannon, the chief White House strategist, of espousing an “apocalyptic geopolitics” whose roots are “not too far apart” from that of Islamist extremism.

The article in La Civiltà Cattolica, which is vetted by the Vatican before publication, lays out a scathing critique of “evangelical fundamentalism” in the US, arguing that, on issues ranging from climate change to “migrants and Muslims”, proponents of the ideology have adopted a twisted reading of scripture and the Old Testament that promotes conflict and war above all else.

The piece was published just days after evangelical leaders met US president Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House and “laid hands” on him in prayer following discussions about religious freedom, support for Israel and healthcare reform. …

Vatican experts said the article would have had the explicit backing of the church and Pope Francis. Its authors, Antonio Spadaro, the editor-in-chief of the publication, and Marcelo Figueroa, the editor-in-chief of the Argentinian edition of the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano, are known as confidantes of the Argentinian pope.

Bannon, the former editor of the rightwing Breitbart news website, is Catholic, and while he is only briefly mentioned in the article, the piece undoubtedly takes aim at the Trump White House.  …

The article refers to the controversial evangelical theologist John Rushdoony as the father of today’s American Christian fundamentalism, and calls Bannon an exponent of this philosophy.

“Rushdoony’s doctrine maintains a theocratic necessity: submit the state to the Bible with a logic that is no different from the one that inspires Islamic fundamentalism. At heart, the narrative of terror shapes the worldviews of jihadists and the new crusaders and is imbibed from wells that are not too far apart,” the authors state. “We must not forget that the theopolitics spread by Isis is based on the same cult of an apocalypse that needs to be brought about as soon as possible.”

In contrast, Pope Francis – with his emphasis on the need to build bridges, not walls, and his adamant refusal to conflate Islam and Islamic terrorism – is attempting to counter this narrative of “fear”, the article says.

Donald Trump’s administration is responsible for promoting an “apocalyptic geopolitics” with roots similar to those of Islamist extremism, two allies of Pope Francis have said. …

During last year’s US presidential campaign, Mr Trump called Pope Francis “disgraceful” for saying the Republican was “not a Christian” because of his plans to build a wall between the US and Mexico.

“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian”, the Pope said.

Mr Trump responded: “For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful.

So, the Vatican has once again gotten bad press for Donald Trump. And this use of apocalyptic seems to be intended as more political than religious–but the Vatican is often entwined with worldly politics (cf. Revelation 17).

Pope Francis has long been opposed to Donald Trump and, at least indirectly, discouraged Catholics from voting for him.

But is the Donald Trump Whitehouse apocalyptic?

Yes, but not quite in the ways that the Vatican wants to imply.

Actually, even before his election we put out a video like his position on debt, Islamic unity, character issues, European issues, military issues), watch Could Donald Trump be Apocalyptic?

And after he was elected we put out a few more: 13 Ways President-Elect Trump is Apocalyptic and  Donald: ‘Trump of God’ or Apocalyptic? and Trump Presidency: Magic 8 Ball or Bible Prophecy? (the latter one showing that a dozen matters that I wrote would happen if Donald Trump were elected had already began to take place). For one example, Donald Trump has encouraged the Europeans to spend more on their militaries–and they are basically agreeing to do so–but the Book of Revelation tells of a European Beast power that will arise and become militarily successful (Revelation 13:1-4), and in the Book of Daniel that power is shown to have a “great army” (Daniel 11:25) that will one day take over the USA (Daniel 11:39). We are getting closer to the time of the start of the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21) and people need to realize this.

The Vatican itself keeps taking steps that are ‘apocalyptic.’

But several of the reasons Donald Trump is apocalyptic somewhat differ from those generally espoused by the Vatican. 

Yet, Pope Francis’ interfaith and ecumenical agendas, are to a degree, supported by Donald Trump, and are apocalyptic.

One area that both disagree, yet both are apocalyptic has to do with Europe.

In July 2017, it was reported:

Pope Francis told his interviewer, the Italian journalist Eugenio Scalfari, that he was worried about the G20 summit, which brings together leaders from 20 of the largest economies in the world, along with finance ministers and central bank governors.

“I’m afraid that there are very dangerous alliances between powers who have a distorted view of the world: America and Russia, China and North Korea, Putin and Assad in the war in Syria,” Francis reportedly said.

The Pope said that his greatest concern was the “danger for immigration.”

 “As you know well, the main problem in today’s world—which is unfortunately growing—is that of the poor, the weak, and the excluded,” Francis said, “of which immigrants form part.”

“On the other hand there are countries where the majority of the poor do not come from migratory flows but from social disasters; others have few local poor but fear the invasion of migrants,” he continued.

“That’s why the G20 worries me: it primarily affects immigrants from countries all over the world and affects them even more as time goes on.”

Asked for his views on underlying causes driving mass migration, Francis said that the primary reason behind contemporary migration is economic.

“Make no mistake, poor nations are drawn to the continents and countries of ancient wealth,” he said, “especially Europe.”

“Colonialism began in Europe. There were positive aspects of colonialism, but also negative. Nonetheless, Europe grew richer, the richest in the world. It will therefore be the main target of migratory peoples,” he said.

In the interview, Scalfari expressed his own opinion to the Pope regarding the future of Europe, stressing the need for Europe to take on a federal structure, an opinion shared by the pontiff.

So, we have a pontiff that is warning against the USA, while pushing Europe to unite (with a migrant policy that may be a factor in Daniel 11:40-43). And a US President telling Europe to arm.

Despite problems, the Bible show that Europe will unite.

This was prophesied around 2600 years ago:

1 Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him. 2 Then the king gave the command to call the magicians, the astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. 3 And the king said to them, “I have had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to know the dream.”

4 Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic, “O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation.”

5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, “My decision is firm: if you do not make known the dream to me, and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made an ash heap. 6 However, if you tell the dream and its interpretation, you shall receive from me gifts, rewards, and great honor. Therefore tell me the dream and its interpretation.”

7 They answered again and said, “Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will give its interpretation.”

8 The king answered and said, “I know for certain that you would gain time, because you see that my decision is firm: 9 if you do not make known the dream to me, there is only one decree for you! For you have agreed to speak lying and corrupt words before me till the time has changed. Therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that you can give me its interpretation.” (Daniel 2:1-9)

36 “This is the dream. Now we will tell the interpretation of it before the king. 37 You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; 38 and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all — you are this head of gold. 39 But after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours; then another, a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. 40 And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others. 41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. 44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. 45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold — the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.” (Daniel 2:36-45)

Pope Francis is promoting this final revival of the ten toes. The New Testament shows that Europe will reorganize and unite in the end times. Notice:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.” (Revelation 17:12-14)

Pope Francis received the Charlemagne prize for promoting European unity last year (see Pope Francis given ‘Charlemagne Prize;’ EU leaders worried about EU’s future). Furthermore, as reported here last week, Pope Francis called for Europe to adopt a “federal structure” (see G20 concludes with increased tension with the USA; Pope Francis pushes for federal Europe). Pope Francis wants a united Europe, and that is truly apocalyptic.

Donald Trump has stated that European nations essentially should look out for their national interests above those of the European Union. While that would not seem to be apocalyptic, Donald Trump has made many statements that have offended the Europeans and have driven them further away from the USA as well as closer to each other (for details, check out the article Donald Trump in Prophecy). That is apocalyptic.

Despite some niceties that went on in France between Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron this week (see France’s Macron wants European treaty changed and hosts the Trumps), we are seeing more in Europe (and that includes the Vatican) that want to turn further away from the USA.

Both Donald Trump and Pope Francis are apocalyptic.

Europe, as prophesied in the book known as the Apocalypse, is starting to come together.
