The theme of a past Davos conference from the World Economic Forum was the 'great reset'. Essentially, the proposal was to use the COVID-19 situation as an excuse to re-order society in an image consistent with the United Nations' and the Vatican's plans.

The “great reset” has been in the news a lot since the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) executive chairman Klaus Schwab brought it up in his book: COVID-19: The Great Reset.

VATICAN CITY — Since it first came to public attention in June 2020, much discussion has surrounded the “Great Reset” — a global vision pushed by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and supported by various world leaders to rebuild a society after COVID based on greater solidarity and a more sustainable economy.

Prominent backers include President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Britain’s Prince Charles. Each see it as a blueprint for “resetting capitalism,” a chance to “build back better” after the global pandemic, and to set the world on a more environmentally friendly and sustainable path for which there is “no alternative.” …

To achieve that new social contract, the Great Reset’s architects argue that the world “must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions.”

Schwab himself sees the predominant Western-based economic system, heavily laden with enormous debt estimated to be $277 trillion, as “not fit anymore for the 21st century” and in need of reform.  …

Overlaps With Pope Francis’ Approach

The theme of a “great reset” is not exclusive to the World Economic Forum. Others have called for some form of communitarian reset of values and institutions, including Pope Francis, who sees the pandemic as exposing capitalism’s flaws.

Having overseen his own hotly debated reset of the Church over the past eight years, the Pope has begun a number of initiatives along some of the same lines as Schwab.

He has frequently expressed a wish for the world to take the opportunity to emerge better from the COVID crisis, including through his October 2020 social encyclical Fratelli Tutti (which the WEF read as proposing a reset similar to its own), ...

Also relevant to his vision for resetting the world’s socioeconomic systems is Francis’ new interview book with papal biographer Austen Ivereigh. Called Let Us Dream: The Path to a Better Future, an excerpt of which was published in The New York Times, Francis’ vision overlaps substantially with the Great Reset. “For me it’s clear,” Francis writes. “We must redesign the economy so that it can offer every person access to a dignified existence while protecting and regenerating the natural world.”  …

As for the notion that the Great Reset is about establishing a new world order controlled by the elites, Cardinal Turkson blamed such theories on internet sites and a conspiracy theory that “used to be attributed to the Illuminati” — a Bavarian secret society founded in 1776 and similar to the Freemasons.

As it turns out, the Freemasons have pushed for many of the same items that Pope Francis has pushed for, especially in the realm of interfaith acceptance and cooperation. As have many other organizations. They do NOT believe in the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, but a humanistic solution–which is NOT a solution to the problems facing humankind.

The true “crucial difference” that the above article missed related to the Vatican and the great reset is that an ‘antipope’ (the final Antichrist) will embrace even more of the great reset agenda, push for Europe to be reorganized, and by part of the betrayal of the Church of Rome according to the Bible (see Revelation 17:12-18).

That being said, some Roman Catholic leaders do see the reality that ideas like the great reset can lead to totalitarianism:

Cardinal Müller expressed sympathy for those sounding the alarm about the Great Reset and recalled that totalitarian systems “have always denigrated any criticism as conspiracy and subversion.”

Some political leaders are also opposed. For example, it was reported that Russia's President Vladmir:

While Alberta Conservative premier Jason Kenney is adamant that “cold, hard numbers” of COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization justify his province’s state-of-emergency restrictions, he has also acknowledged that the “Great Reset” cannot be written off as a “conspiracy theory,” stating clearly that such an agenda will not be influencing the province’s policies. …

Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, wrote a book titled COVID-19: The Great Reset in which he argues that the coronavirus provides an opportunity to “reset today’s world” so as to “fix the deep-rooted ills of our societies and economies.”

“The pandemic gives us this chance: it ‘represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine and reset our world,’” Schwab wrote in the 2020 book, quoting one of his own talks. Schwab’s World Economic Forum is known for hosting annual summits in Davos, Switzerland, convening global elites who make plans for how to order the world.

Kenney, in a December 6 Facebook live post, pointed out that ... Schwab had even sent him a copy of the book.

“He sent me a copy. I guess he sent one to probably every government leader around the world,” he said. ...

Kenney said he would describe Schwab’s “great reset” plan as a “grab bag of left-wing ideas for less freedom and more government, for more government intervention, for policies that would, I think, create massive poverty, particularly [regarding] energy policies that he is advocating.”

The premier called Schwab’s annual Davos summit the “biggest gathering of global hypocrites in history.”

“It’s a little ski village in Switzerland. And every, I think February, a couple of thousand super-rich people, a lot of billionaires, millionaires, global CEOs and politicians fly into Davos with hundreds of private airplanes. They go into Switzerland and they spend a week basically lecturing the rest of the world, especially working women and men, about how they should reduce their carbon footprint,” he said. “The hypocrisy in that crowd is so thick you can’t even cut it with a knife.”

While it is true that, physically speaking from an economic perspective political leaders should be better focusing on economic growth than implementing some parts of Klaus Schwab’s “great reset,” the reality is that many major political leaders and international organizations want to go in the direction that Klaus Schwab has been advocating--though Albertans do not seem to care for it as the following also shows:

Alberta, Canada’s New Premier, Danielle Smith, lashed out at the province’s failed health department and their relations with the controversial World Economic Forum. She has vowed to cut all ties between the province’s health authority and the globalist organization.

“I believe that Alberta Health Services is the source of a lot of the problems we have,” she told Western Standard. 

“They’ve entered into some sort of partnership agreement with the World Economic Forum in the midst of the pandemic,” Smith said days after she became prime minister. “They signed some kind of a partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF) right in the middle of the pandemic.”

That being said, many academic, world, political, and religious leaders are pushing for something like the great reset.

The Gates Foundation named Von der Leyen as one of the four winners of the so-called Goalkeepers Global Goals Awards. The other winners are Radhika Batra, co-founder of Every Infant Matters; Zahra Joya, a journalist from Afghanistan; and Vanessa Nakate, a climate activist from Uganda.

Until recently, the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset was called a conspiracy theory. This week, the EU Commission president received an award for her commitment to the same Great Reset.

The award ceremony, presented by Bill Gates and his ex-wife Melinda French Gates, was not supposed to be satire: Von der Leyen was praised for her role in the purchase and distribution of Corona vaccines. Her husband Heiko, is the director of Orgenesis, which is owned by Pfizer – the same company that Ursula signed a secret 71 billion euro contract with.

The head of World Economic Forum spoke at the G20, which is basically supposed to be a meeting of the top 20 political leaders of the world;

Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum find themselves waiting around for the next global crisis event after the covid pandemic turned out to be much less threatening to the public than they had originally hoped. In the meantime, Schwab continues to pontificate on the virtues of the “Great Reset” and the usefulness of crisis as a means to accomplish a “restructuring” of the current world order. …

He does not say much in terms of planning in his speech to the G20, but he does imply that while fragmentation is necessary, too much fragmentation could be troublesome. The presidents or prime ministers of chancellor (depending upon the country) of Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, UK, USA, and the EU were listed as attendees. Plus leaders from other countries–and then Klaus Schwab got to publicly speak.

THIS IS NOT A FRINGE GROUP WITHOUT INFLUENCE--the WEF has many connections to high political leaders.

The Great Reset agenda is moving forward.

As it turns out, those pushing for a great reset do "not like to retain God in their knowledge" (Romans 1:28a) , therefore:

28 ... God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:28-32, NKJV throughout unless otherwise specified).

This is why we are seeing agendas like the ‘great reset.'

Yes, the WEF supports a globalist agenda.

Secular organizations such as the World Economic Forum (WEF),[i] United Nations,[ii] and the Bilderberg Group[iii] all support a type of a somewhat ecumenical-interfaith-merged religion (allowing for certain differences)[iv] and what could be called a ‘globalist’ agenda, consistent with prophecies (e.g. Revelation 17:1-5).

The European Union does as well, however, its view is that Europe should lead a coming “new world order.”[v]

In May of 2022, World Economic Forum’s Klaus Schwab, who is German, said he wanted to make it “clear” “the future is built by us.”[vi] And the WEF will work with others, like European politicians, to make that happen. WEF Chief Executive Philippe Donnet wrote related to global governance, “The world needs a leader. Europe should step up … Global leadership, especially in socioeconomic terms, could become the shared goal of European citizens.”[vii]

Furthermore, the WEF has wanted Roman Catholic involvement and Pope Francis has, at least twice, sent Klaus Schwab pro-WEF letters.[viii]

Former German Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, who has pushed for more European integration, has personally spoken at a WEF meeting a decade ago[ix] and was still listed as part of the WEF on its website in 2022.[x] Herr Guttenberg also has directly called for Europe to reorganize.[xi]

The WEF has called its version of a reorganized world The Great Reset.[xii] Many aspects of The Great Reset align with a future the Bible warns against. In 2021, the WEF announced it would work with Big Tech and governments to be able to control and censor the internet[xiii]—such control would seem to contribute to the coming “famine of the word” (Amos 8:11-12).

In 2022, Klaus Schwab told the G20 (a group of the most influential/powerful government leaders of the world) that he believed that “a deep systemic and structural restructuring of our world” was needed.[xiv] While a deep European restructuring will occur (cf. Revelation 17:12-13), it is scripturally warned against.

It needs to be pointed out that it is not that the United Nations, World Economic Forum, Freemasons, Bilderberg Group, etc. cannot not do anything good. They do have many positive goals, yet also some goals that are opposed by scripture. Despite the good, the Bible warns:

1 Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; (Psalm 127:1)

And, since these groups do not promote the supremacy of the God of the Bible, they, in that sense, labor in vain.

A Conspiracy from Satan?

Is the Great Reset some type of a conspiracy?

Isaiah wrote:

12 Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’
Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy,
Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. (Isaiah 8:12)

What is going on with the ‘great reset’ and the globalist agenda is not so much a hidden conspiracy–as it is out in the open–but essentially the result of humanism that is influenced by Satan for those who do not truly believe the Bible.

He has been pushing an anti-biblical, anti-family, and anti-Kingdom of God agenda.

Satan, if you will, is the chief conspirator as he has been behind the scenes. Notice that Paul confirmed that when he wrote of “the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2).

By rejecting the truth of the Bible, human organizations have endorsed and pushed Satan’s agenda.

US Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) was a guest on Fox News to talk about the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. He said it is not a conspiracy theory that the organization is pursuing a world government. It’s “in their mission statement.”

A government, a world government where you can’t vote for anyone, is everyone’s worst nightmare, said Paul, referring to the WEF’s intrusion into national governments. “That is the real danger and much more dangerous than all their carbon footprint talk.”

“We don’t vote for them; we vote indirectly. “Can you imagine the one-world bureaucracy of all these elitists and their private jets that would rule our country, and we wouldn’t get to vote?” the Senator asked.

The Senator continued, “So I’m dead set against this, and they used to call people that talked about one-world government used to say it’s a conspiracy. We would always say no; it’s in their mission statement. They say it at every meeting. That’s why they are for,” he emphasized.

Let me take this a couple of steps further.

Many of the elites that support the WEF believe that the best way for humans to survive in the future is for there to be less of them. Some consider that 90% of the world population is in excess of where they want it to be.

Many believe that each human being uses resources and contributes to the destruction of the environment.

By supporting homosexual sex, which is naturally not reproductive, as well as by supporting abortion, which stops a human from being born, these support their climate goals.

The type of reset Satan wants is NOT the coming Kingdom of God, but the reign of the Beast and the Antichrist.

A Major Reset is Prophesied in the Bible

The WEF wants Europe to rise up and lead:

Is a major reset prophesied to happen in the world?

Yes.

Will such a reset take place after some type of crisis?

Yes.

According to the 6th chapter of the Book of Revelation, numerous seals are to be opened.

The first four have to do with the rides of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, which parallel “sorrows” that Jesus said would happen (cf. Matthew 24:4-8).
