Ronald Weinland is less dogmatic about Jesus returning next month, but he is still in error
VS.
The imprisoned self-appointed false prophet and false apostle, Ronald Weinland of the Church of God-Preparing for the Kingdom of God (CGPFKF), wrote the following:
Yesterday, my wife had a conversation with a person who was “spiritually unsettled.” One bothersome perception that this person had was that some people were overly concerned about prophecy, since this seemed to be such a large part of their conversations. It was also stated by this individual that since nothing happened on April 4th that some might leave the Church.
That date was mentioned in a post as having a correlation of a period of time within the prophetic day of one year with the timing being near 3 p.m. when Jesus died on Passover.
Of course, April 4th of 2013 came and went and nothing like what Ronald Weinland had hinted happened. In the same post, Ronald Weinland also added:
There is not a more prophetic time for fulfillment than right now…
But “what if” the Second Trumpet did blow on or near April 4th? Do you “know” that it didn’t? I don’t!…
What if North Korea set something in motion on the 4th or they do so on the 9th that will result in a later fulfillment? We just do not know…
North Korea is making other threats and warnings on April 9th, but the second trumpet did not blow. I am 100% certain, even if Ronald Weinland is not.
And “What If…”:
God is telling His Church that there are choices to be made now. The reality and truth is that this is what you are doing anyway, whether or not you have stated it in this way. “What if” May 19th is simply another Day of Pentecost without its fulfillment of the firstfruits being resurrected and the return of Christ? Does this question itself cause any panic, apprehension, and fear? If so, why is there panic, and why is there fear? Where is it coming from? What is the cause? If it were only another observance of Pentecost and nothing more were to happen on May 19th, would the Church of God cease to exist? Would it go some place else or is it already somewhere else? Would the truths of God cease to exist or do you believe that we even have them?
Last year, Ronald Weinland was more insistent that his Pentecost 2012 date for Jesus’ return was correct than what he is now writing.
What if?
Well, what if his followers would realize that he has repeatedly shown to be a false prophet and should not be trusted. Various of his “truths” are not true. Ronald Weinland is a unitarian and that is NOT the position of the Church of God. While Ronald Weinland holds to some COG doctrines, he does not lead nor represent the real Church of God. He is one who came out of it, but is not really part of it. The Apostle John wrote of such ones:
9 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, does not receive us. 10 Therefore, if I come, I will call to mind his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words. And not content with that, he himself does not receive the brethren, and forbids those who wish to, putting them out of the church.
11 Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.
12 Demetrius has a good testimony from all, and from the truth itself. And we also bear witness, and you know that our testimony is true. (3 John 9-12)
Ron Weinland is like Diotrephes above. He has not stayed true to various parts of COG teachings, has repeatedly been shown to be a false prophet/leader, seems to love to think that he has preeminence, and does not accept the words of the most faithful.
Pentecost May 19, 2013 is Ronald Weinland’s third false date for the return of Jesus Christ. Ronald Weinland now basically seems to be claiming that all of the judgments and plagues associated with the Great Tribulation and Day of the Lord will happen between now and May 19, 2013, with probably most happening on May 19, 2013. This is wrong.
For those unfamiliar with him, Ronald Weinland was a former WCG then UCG minister who falsely claimed to be a prophet and one of the two witnesses (he claimed that his wife was the second of the witnesses). He has also falsely claimed to be the end time Elijah, an Apostle, etc. He was again proven wrong last May when Jesus did not return as he insisted He would. He was convicted of multiple counts of income tax fraud in June 2012 (see CGPFKG’s Ron Weinland Found Guilty of Income Tax Evasion) and went to prison for in on February 1, 2013 (see CGPFKG’s Ronald Weinland to report to prison today).
It is Ronald Weinland that should fear spreading his false dates, etc.
I have denounced Ronald Weinland since 2005/2006 and while his predictions have repeatedly proven to have been wrong, every denouncement of his predictions that I posted here have been correct.
The main point of COGwriter posts about him is to warn all not to let false prophets, false apostles, and heretical leaders like Ron Weinland turn people away from the God of the Bible.
Some articles of possible interest related to prophecy may include:
Concerns About Ronald Weinland’s Church of God-Preparing for the Kingdom of God Ronald Weinland falsely claims to be one of the two witnesses God is raising up, that the Great Tribulation began on December 14, 2008, that Jesus would return on May 27, 2012, and then claimed that Jesus would return on May 19, 2013 (he originally had Jesus returning on September 28/29 2011). Why does the Bible show that Ron Weinland is a false prophet? Why do Ronald Weinland’s own statements prove that he is a false prophet? Additionally, he has other views which show he is not truly part of the Church of God.
How To Determine If Someone is a True Prophet of God There are many false prophets. How can Christians determine who is a true prophet? What does the New Testament actually teach on this subject? There is also a YouTube video about this which is also titled How to determine if someone is a true prophet of God .
Who Are The Two Witnesses? What is their job? What does the Bible reveal? What has the Church of God taught on this subject? Might even Roman Catholic prophecies give some clues here?
Was Unitarianism the Teaching of the Bible or Early Church? Many, including Jehovah’s Witnesses snd Ron Weinland, claim it was, but was it?
When Will the Great Tribulation Begin? 2013, 2014, or 2015? Can the Great Tribulation begin today? What happens before the Great Tribulation in the “beginning of sorrows”? What happens in the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord? Is this the time of the Gentiles? When is the earliest that the Great Tribulation can begin? What is the Day of the Lord? Who are the 144,000? See also the video Can the Great Tribulation Begin in 2013?
Why Be Concerned About False and Heretical Leaders? There have been many false leaders–here is some of why you should be concerned about them.
