The UK does not seem to want to admit it, but it appears to be looking to compile a list of reasons why it perhaps would want to leave the European Union or at least not be totally committed to all parts of it:

Anger over plot to put EU flag on all birth certificates

BRUSSELS bureaucrats faced fresh fury last night after revealing proposals for European Union birth certificates.

Official EU documents to certify marriages, civil partnerships and deaths – stamped with the EU’s blue-and-gold flag – are also being proposed.

Tory ministers warned that the new multi-lingual paperwork – expected to be introduced from next year – will mean more sinister Brussels meddling in the lives of British citizens “from the cradle to the grave”.

And they accused Eurocrats of another “bullying” attempt to wipe the Union flag and Royal Crest from official documents.

The UK is becoming more and concerned about loss of sovereignty if it remains part of the EU (and ultimately it will either leave, be pushed out, of takeover by a European power (watch also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).

But before going further, I thought I would remind everyone that the EU flag is supposed to be a Marian symbol (see also Vatican News: EU Flag is Marian). The nominally Anglican UK does not want either the Marian symbol now nor the interference from Brussels (where the EU is essentially headquartered from).

Mary is prominent in an unusual way in the new European Union as she was the “inspiration” for its flag. According to the Times Online (November 16, 2005):

“The chosen flag was designed by Arsene Heitz, a German Roman Catholic who said that he had been inspired by a line in the Book of Revelation about the Virgin Mary wearing a crown of 12 stars, a common depiction in Christian iconography.”

Hence, we see a clear tie between Mary (called the “Queen of Heaven” by the Roman Catholics) and the flag for the European Union. The final European power will also be a religious one (Revelation 13:4,8).

There is much more involving what is and will be claimed to be “Mary” and Europe than most, even in Europe, realize. And even the new Pope Francis has been more ‘Marian’ that other recent popes (see Pope Francis: Could this Marian Focused Pontiff be Fulfilling Prophecy?). This Marian emphasis will not turn out well for anybody involved with it in the long run.

The European Union itself is all about trying to be a revival of the old Holy Roman Empire and that it certainly does intend to be a military empire. If not, I simply do not believe that Germany (who tried to recreate the empire via two world wars) would continue to fund the EU. Nor would the Europeans have developed the Galileo satellite system (EU Approves Galileo For Military Use and USA GPS and EU Galileo linking was expected), the Large Hadron Collider (CERN Makes Major Strides with Antimatter), decided to fund FAIR (another collider-type project, see Germany Approves FAIR Particle Accelerator Project), nor be involved in various other activities that it is now engaged in (e.g. Europe Looking to be a Major Player in Space).

Another financial, administrative, and military system is starting to arise in Europe and the Anglo-descended nations will not like what will replace Anglo-capitalism or “Pax Americana” in that new world order.

But ultimately, Jesus will come and establish His kingdom with, amongst other things, a proper economic system. But until then, overall, Britain will see that it has less influence on the world scene than it did in its glory days or even as it did a decade or so ago.

Although the United Kingdom (and related Commonwealth nations) and the United States have dominated the world’s economy the past couple of centuries (as well as the military for over a 1/2 century), a shift is occurring and those in the Anglo-nations will not like what will be happening relatively soon.

And British attitudes towards the European Union will likely be a factor.
