Judge rules Oklahoma ban on homosexual marriage is unconstitutional

The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

In another attempt by a federal court to push the homosexual agenda, a judge has ruled that Oklahoma’s ban on homosexual marriage is unconstitutional:

January 15, 2014

(CNN) — A federal judge ruled Tuesday that an Oklahoma law limiting marriage to heterosexual couples violates the U.S. Constitution, giving yet another victory to same-sex marriage supporters…

“The Court holds that Oklahoma’s constitutional amendment limiting marriage to opposite-sex couples violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution,” the judge wrote, saying that protection “is at the very heart of our legal system.”

His decision specifically deals with “Part A” of an Oklahoma Constitutional amendment that says, in part, “marriage in this state shall consist only of the union of one man and one woman.”

Kern said that “the Court’s rationality review reveals Part A an arbitrary, irrational exclusion of just one class of Oklahoma citizens from a government benefit.” Proponents of the state constitutional measure, he points out, “purposefully (drew a line) between two groups of Oklahoma citizens — same-sex couples desiring an Oklahoma marriage license and opposite-sex couples desiring (a) marriage license.” http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/14/justice/oklahoma-gay-marriage/

Unconstitutional? No US state allowed homosexual marriage in the two centuries after the USA formed. Clearly, the writers and supporters of the US constitution back in the late 1700s did not believe that homosexual marriage was constitutionally protected. Nor has the US constitution been amended to allow for that. Furthermore, the US constitution specifies that the powers not specifically delegated to the federal government are delegated to state governments, and that has always included marriage licenses and related issues.

Judges and lawyers should know all of this, but do not seem to care.

Of course, this should not surprise us. Although US President Obama took an oath to protect the constitution and defend USA laws, he and his administration were opposed to defending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA–see Obama Won’t Support Ban on Homosexual ‘Marriages’). Furthermore, I read something from former US Defense Secretary Gates had in his recent book that many might find of interest. Notice the following news report:

Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates sharply questions President Obama’s “passion” for military matters in his forthcoming memoir, and claims that practically the only time he saw that in the president was during his push to repeal “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

The former Pentagon chief said in an interview aired Sunday that he was “disturbed” by Obama’s “absence of passion” when it came to his military strategy. But in the book, “Duty,” reviewed by Fox News, Gates hit Obama harder…

He wrote that “the only military matter, apart from leaks, about which I ever sensed deep passion on his part was ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.’ For him, changing the law seemed to be the inevitable next step in the civil rights movement. Barack Obama’s ‘passion’ is hurting the USA as are other leaders that seem to share his views of the homosexual agenda. Notice also the following:

12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).

In the USA, the way the supporters of the homosexual agenda talk, homosexual marriage is all supposedly about fairness, love, and equality. The reality is that this is about morality, society, disease, and protection of children. Sexual immorality has been shown to be harmful, and according to the Bible it is sinful.

Biblically, a marriage exist as a relationship between a man and woman as God intended (Matthew 19:3-6). But, many in the USA, including its President, do not really care what the Bible teaches. And this is dangerous and will lead to destruction (cf. Romans 1:18-32).

Various ones, in and out of the USA, can pretend that increasing “homosexual rights” is acceptable, but the Bible teaches otherwise.

Homosexual acts are clearly prohibited in the Bible:

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)

13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. (Leviticus 20:13)

Those who try to claim that the Bible does not clearly condemn homosexuality are intentionally misreading what it actually teaches. The Bible prohibits and condemns homosexual behavior–the Bible calls it an abomination!

Notice also the following:

9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them, And they declare their sin as Sodom; They do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves. (Isaiah 3:9)

13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate. (Proverbs 8:13)

18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

49 Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50 And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit. (Ezekiel 16:49-50)

7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 7)

6…the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly (2 Peter 2:6)

So the Bible shows that Sodom was destroyed for many things including its pride and the committing of abominations. Homosexuality is an abomination. Sodom and Gomorrah were turned into ashes making them an example–but many leaders in the USA do not wish to consider the ramifications of what they are doing. Last June, Russia called Barack Obama the leader of Sodom & Gomorrah (see Russia calls Obama President of Sodom and Gomorrah and the US Supreme Court ruling on homosexuality today confirms it).

The Bible also warns against accepting and condoning practices such as homosexuality and lesbianism, which is something that the USA is doing:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness…

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:18,24-32)

The promotion of sexual immorality, including the ‘gay’ agenda, will end in destruction. Yet various leaders in the USA, including its President and various judges, are doing just it. They apparently do not take the warnings of the Bible seriously.

The USA is in decline and will some day be eliminated–as will its Anglo-Saxon allies such as Canada and New Zealand which already allow homosexual marriage, and Australia (which has ‘same-sex unions’) and the UK (which is supposed to allow it in Wales and England in late March 2014) which are moving closer to it.

Of course, it is not just the USA and the Anglo-Saxon nations that are doing this, many of the Europeans are engaged in this as well.

Russia is blasting the Europeans for their promotion of the homosexual agenda:

EU is trying to promote an “alien view of homosexuality and same-sex marriages as a norm of life”, that is according to the new report on human rights in the EU published Tuesday by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The report slams Europe’s “dissemination of their neo-liberal values as a universal lifestyle for all other members of the international community” and notes “a steady growth of xenophobia, racism, violent nationalism, chauvinism and neo-Nazism” in Europe.

The annual report is the second of its kind by the Russian Foreign Ministry, which has established its own ombudsman’s office.

It should be noted that while the Bible shows that the Europeans will first be used to punish the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies, that the Europeans will later also be punished. The Day of the Lord will not end well for the Europeans (cf. Zephaniah 2:13-15)–and the Russians will be part of making that happen (Jeremiah 50:41-43).

No one should be pushing the homosexual agenda, yet many in the West foolishly are–and this will be to their peril.
