IMF: UK to lead G-7 in economic growth; N. Farage: Best way to reform EU is for UK to leave it

There is some positive economic news for the United Kingdom:

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says the UK economy will be the fastest-growing in the G7 this year.

It says the UK will grow 2.9% in 2014, up from a January estimate of 2.4%, and will see growth of 2.5% in 2015…

The IMF says that growth has rebounded more strongly than anticipated in the UK on the back of easier credit conditions and increased confidence.

But it cautions that the recovery has been unbalanced, with business investment and exports still disappointing…

“In the United Kingdom, monetary policy should stay accommodative, and recent modifications by the Bank of England to the forward-guidance framework are therefore welcome,” the report added.

“Similarly, the government’s efforts to raise capital spending while staying within the medium-term fiscal envelope should help bolster recovery and long-term growth.”…

Earlier on Tuesday, there was further indication of UK growth, with the release of manufacturing and industrial production figures.

While economic growth should be a positive for those living in the UK, the IMF report comment that its monetary policy should stay accommodative is a concern. Like the USA, the UK has engaged in what is called ‘quantitative easing,’ which basically is a form of ‘legal’ counterfeiting that dilutes the value of currency (like putting ‘dross’ in coins) and increases debt. The USA is now the most indebted nation of all time and the UK is one of the most indebted on a per person basis.

The Bible warns that this is not good. Notice what it says about diluting the value of the money supply (which is what putting ‘dross’ into something valuable does) as well as increasing debt:

4 Take away the dross from silver (Proverbs 25:4a).

25 I will turn My hand against you, And thoroughly purge away your dross, And take away all your alloy. (Isaiah 1:25)

22 Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water. (Isaiah 1:22)

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry…5 Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man… 6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his–how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you. Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:3,5,6-8).

What the UK and USA have been doing will lead to disaster.

In the UK, Nigel Farage (who is the Member of the European Parliament for South East England) regularly makes his views known about economic and European Union matters. For those unfamiliar with him, the he is sort of like former US Congressman Ron Paul, except he is sometimes even more blunt. His political party is called Ukip (United Kingdom Independence Party). Notice something he said:

“Without Ukip snapping at the heels of the political establishment, the British public would be forced to accept the status quo and democracy would be denied any kind of voice.

What about Europe and the UKs role in it?

The Bible itself clearly teaches that a successfully warring power will emerge again in Europe (Daniel 11:29-44). The Bible also shows that the world will marvel, be astonished, by this European power’s military success (Revelation 13:4)–and that this King of the North power will even destroy the USA, the power with the “strongest fortresses” according to Daniel 11:39.

Various ones in Britain want it to leave the European Union. Nigel Farage wants the EU dismantled–and he seems to have some idea of the threat that a more united European power will bring with it.

Europe itself will change. The Bible actually teaches that the European Beast power will have to have three reorganizations (Revelation 17:12, 13, & 15-18), not necessarily counting what Nigel Farage hopes will happen.

The reality is that the UK will leave or somehow be eliminated from the final confederation of nations that will be part of the European Beast power. Ultimately, the Europeans will divide up and rule the UK.

While the European power is starting to rise up, and will have problems (Daniel 2:41-43; Revelation 18) before it fully does, the UK will ultimately find it is not a friend. Nigel Farage will be right about that.

Although there is some positive economic news for the UK, the Bible warns of a time of trouble for the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic nations (Jeremiah 30:7) and that they will be taken over by a European power, and this will also include the USA (Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).

Steps that the UK and USA have taken, and will take (perhaps with some help by Nigel Farage), are helping set the stage for this.
