Drought and weather issues: Any relationship to the homosexual agenda?

The Western USA and its Northern Plains are still facing severe drought conditions. The National had the following at its website today:

Latest Seasonal Assessment – With the gradual winding down of the wet season in the West, prospects for drought relief during the spring are low. Persistence and/or intensification of drought conditions is anticipated across the West, with drought development favored in western sections of both Washington and Oregon. In Arizona, Utah, and western portions of both Colorado and New Mexico, drought persistence/intensification is deemed most likely, as spring tends to be a relatively dry time of year, in advance of the summer Monsoon.

This is the fourth year in a row of below average rainfall, which has created moderate to extreme drought conditions. Bill McDonald of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California says new restrictions should save a precious resource that is drying up.

“Right now, we rely on a lot of snow and rain, and that is not happening,” said McDonald.

Some of the state’s water comes from northern California and moves through aqueducts to the farm rich Central Valley and water-hungry cities in the south.

Farms uses 80 percent of the state’s water to produce much of the nation’s fruit, vegetables and nuts. Farming is largely exempt from the new restrictions, but many farms have seen their water allocations cut to zero.

In California, we actually had a little bit of rain yesterday, but the amount was of insignificant consequence. The rains have not come the past few years like they used to. Unlike many other parts of the USA, it mainly rains in much of California in the Winter and early Spring. Historically, we rarely get significant rain in the Summer.

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — We’re told by economists that the California drought is no cause for concern to the nation. The agriculture industry isn’t being forced into additional cuts. Food prices will increase only slightly. …
No big deal — unless these economists are wrong. And, frankly, there’s a pretty strong case that should the drought persist, say another two to three years or more, prices will skyrocket. Remember, California is the biggest farm state in the nation, producing more than Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota combined.

Sumner concede: “If this sort of unprecedented lack of water continues, then each year more cropland and more crops will face reductions in supply and prices will be more affected.” …

In the short term, California’s agriculture industry is drawing on its once-vast underground lakes to make up for available surface water. About half of the water used by the state last year came from underground. How long farmers can do it is up for debate. No agency knows or tracks how much is being pumped.

Supremes warned: ‘God’s judgment’ now looming

In a stunningly blunt brief, a team of lawyers acting on behalf of a number of Christian and liberty-focused organizations has told the U.S. Supreme Court that to mandate same-sex marriage is to invite God’s judgment.

And that’s probably not going to turn out well.

The brief was filed by the William J. Olson law firm and the U.S. Justice Foundation on behalf of Public Advocate of the U.S., Joyce Meyer Ministries, the Lincoln Institute, the Abraham Lincoln Foundation, Institute on the Constitution, Conservative Legal Defense and Education Fund and pastor Chuck Baldwin.

The Supreme Court is to hear arguments later this month in a case coming from the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in which judges said state residents are allowed to define marriage in their state. The appeal to the Supreme Court contends barring same-sex marriage violates the U.S. Constitution.

Other briefs already have pointed out that marriage existed before any government, law or constitution, so the judiciary doesn’t have the authority to allow people to simply change the definition.

The new brief goes much further.

“Should the court require the states and the people to ‘ritualize’ sodomite behavior by government issuance of a state marriage license, it could bring God’s judgment on the nation,” the brief warns. “Holy Scripture attests that homosexual behavior and other sexual perversions violate the law of the land, and when the land is ‘defiled,’ the people have been cast out of their homes.” http://www.wnd.com/2015/04/supremes-warned-gods-judgment-now-looming/?cat_orig=faith

Because of the ability to pump water from wells (which requires electricity) mainly only farmers and some who are believed to be wasting water have noticed some of the severe affects of the drought. But there are limits to the amount of groundwater that can be pumped, but that is not the real reason that the drought can “be worse than everyone thinks.” I believe sin is the real cause. The US Supreme Court of the 21st century does not tend to recognize sin nor God, hence it is not likely to be moved by arguments about judgment from God–though it should.

The homosexual agenda has a cost. I believe that the USA is experiencing part of that cost now. That is why I put the California weather item and the homosexual warning article next to each other.

Does that mean it is not possible for the drought to end?

No, but I do believe that the acceptance of the homosexual agenda affects weather as that is taught in the Bible.

Notice, for example, the following scriptures from the Book of Amos:

6 “Also I gave you cleanness of teeth in all your cities.And lack of bread in all your places;Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.
7 “I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest.I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city.One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered. 8 So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, But they were not satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me,”Says the Lord.
9 “I blasted you with blight and mildew. When your gardens increased, Your vineyards, Your fig trees, And your olive trees, The locust devoured them; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.
10 “I sent among you a plague after the manner of Egypt; Your young men I killed with a sword, Along with your captive horses; I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.
11 “I overthrew some of you, As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning;Yet you have not returned to Me,”Says the Lord.
12 “Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!” (Amos 4:6-12)

The reference to Sodom and Gomorrah are related to homosexuality and other sexual immorality. As far as plagues similar to those sent to Egypt, I recently put together an article and a two-part sermon tying many of the plagues of Egypt to events that will hit in the future according to what Jesus taught in the Gospels as well as what is taught in the Book of Revelation (see Reasons, Proofs, and Ramifications of the Ten Plagues of Exodus and/or watch the sermons: Egypt and the Plagues and Exodus Plagues and Prophecy).

Of course, it is not just parts of the USA that are facing problems with water. There are droughts in Kenya, Taiwan, Australia, and parts of Europe.

Notice something that Jesus said would happen:

8 … And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)

Partially because of events leading up to ‘the time of Jacob’s trouble’ (Jeremiah 30:7), many events will hit the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies harder than they have. The odd weather patterns we have seen may well be part of the ‘beginning of sorrows’ and ‘troubles’ Jesus spoke of in Mark 13:8.
