• The US will reimpose full sanctions on Iran, and Trump has threatened to impose sanctions on other countries if they continue to deal with the country.
• Donald Trump refused to answer questions about how pulling out of the deal would make the US safer and liberate the Iranian people to determine their own future.

Donald Trump has said the US is withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal.

The US president has consistently threatened to leave the 2015 deal because it does not address Tehran‘s ballistic missile programme or its wars in Syria and Yemen.

European leaders have warned such an outcome would scupper the deal and undo years of work …

EU president Donald Tusk has also been quick to release a statement promising a “united European approach” to Mr Trump’s decision. …

“We will work collectively on a broader framework, covering nuclear activity, the post-2025 period, ballistic activity, and stability in the Middle-East, notably Syria, Yemen, and Iraq,” Macron said on Twitter moments after Mr Trump spoke.

Mr Macron also said the nuclear non-proliferation regime was at stake.

So, the USA is again separated from the Europeans.

They were upset about Donald Trump pulling the USA out of the Paris climate accords (watch The USA Declared a ‘Rogue Nation’!).

On May 3, 2016, I posted:

He has done so and caused much anger in Europe.

More and more, the Europeans are seeing the USA as a rogue nation. Europe may well NOT re-impose sanctions, but instead may end up increasing trade with Iran (and probably not want the USA to be able to prove that).

This Iranian decision by Donald Trump is not a surprise as it is consistent with some of his earlier statements. Consider also something from my book Donald Trump and America’s Apocalypse:

Iran and Prophecy

Donald Trump has stated that he wants to eliminate or at least change the “nuclear deal” with Iran (Wilkinson T. Trump’s plans to scuttle or amend the Iran nuclear deal remain a work in progress. Los Angeles Times, November 14, 2016).

He also might be more willing than the Obama Administration to trigger enforcement provisions if he feels Iran has violated portions of the agreement.

Iran would not like to see either of those actions and continues to show some of its nuclear ambitions: after Donald Trump’s election, Iran declared it would pursue development of nuclear powered ships (Norman L. Europe Hopeful Trump Will Stick With Iran Nuclear Deal. Wall Street Journal, December 13, 2016).

Because  Bible  prophecy indicates  that it  will  be  primarily Arabic nations that support the final King of the South (Daniel 11:40-43; Ezekiel 30:1-8), though with some (probably temporary per Daniel 11:25-26) support from Turkey (and possibly Pakistan), it is not biblically possible that Iran can truly be the leader of the Islamic world as it seems to want to be. Also, because it is basically due east of Jerusalem, Iran should not be considered to be a candidate to be the final ‘King of the South’ of biblical prophecy.

Despite its posturing and relative military strength, Iran will be somehow effectively neutralized (cf. Ezekiel 32:24). This could perhaps be from an attack involving Israel and/or internal civil unrest — this could also include electromagnetic (EMP) or similar weapons used against Iran (Jeremiah 49:34-39).

It is of prophetic interest to note that the small nation of Israel is prophesied to one day be attacked by some that seem to have connection to Iran (Isaiah 22:1-14).

Iran may decide to strike out against Israel, and possibly Jerusalem (cf. Isaiah 22:7-8) if a Trump Administration and/or Israel takes actions it does not like.

Iran has weapons that can cause damage. Furthermore, the U.S.A. itself (as well as is the State of Israel) is vulnerable to EMP type attacks and/or items such as biological weapons, chemical weapons, terrorism, nuclear weapons, dirty bombs, etc. because of a conflict involving Iran, Syria, and/or others.

But should this occur, this would NOT be the final destruction of the U.S.A. Prophetically, Iran would not end up faring well (cf. Ezekiel 32:24-25). (Thiel B. Donald Trump and America’s Apocalypse. Nazarene Books, 2017)

There is another issue with Iran–and it was alluded to above–it can turn radioactive materials into something called a ‘dirty bomb.’

Here is some information about dirty bombs:

A dirty bomb is a speculative radiological weapon that combines radioactive material with conventional explosives. The purpose of the weapon is to contaminate the area around the dispersal agent/conventional explosion with radioactive material, serving primarily as an area denial device against civilians. It is however not to be confused with a nuclear explosion, such as a fission bomb, which by releasing nuclear energy produces blast effects far in excess of what is achievable by the use of conventional explosives.

Though a radiological dispersal device (RDD) would be designed to disperse radioactive material over a large area, a bomb that uses conventional explosives and produces a blast wave would be far more lethal to people than the hazard posed by radioactive material that may be mixed with the explosive.At levels created from probable sources, not enough radiation would be present to cause severe illness or death. A test explosion and subsequent calculations done by the United States Department of Energy found that assuming nothing is done to clean up the affected area and everyone stays in the affected area for one year, the radiation exposure would be “fairly high”, but not fatal.Recent analysis of the nuclear fallout from the Chernobyl disaster confirms this, showing that the effect on many people in the surrounding area, although not those in close proximity, was almost negligible.

Since a dirty bomb is unlikely to cause many deaths by radiation exposure, many do not consider this to be a weapon of mass destruction. Its purpose would presumably be to create psychological, not physical, harm through ignorance, mass panic, and terror. For this reason dirty bombs are sometimes called “weapons of mass disruption”. Additionally, containment and decontamination of thousands of victims, as well as decontamination of the affected area might require considerable time and expense, rendering areas partly unusable and causing economic damage. As it turns out, some radioactive plutonium has been missing from the USA:

Idaho State University lost a small amount of plutonium believed to be strong enough to make a dirty bomb, a federal agency said.

The school was fined $8,500 by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, after it recently reported that a piece of the plutonium was misplaced 15 years ago …

The one-gram bit of material, which can be used to make nuclear weapons, went missing because paperwork wasn’t properly filled out, a school official said. …

School officials found records saying the piece of plutonium was ready to be disposed in 2003 and 2004, according to the report, after Idaho National Laboratory didn’t said it didn’t want to hold it. The laboratory, which is run by the U.S. Department of Energy, works with the school on nuclear projects.

Idaho State officials could find any documents confirming the plutonium was removed, however, and scoured the school as well as drums of nuclear waste for any trace of it.

Whether Iran or some other entity has it or that material is simply lost, it is still radioactive and theoretically can be used as a dirty bomb. Plus, Iran has nuclear materials to at least make a dirty bomb.

Jesus warned about a time of troubles, sorrows, wars, and rumors of wars (Mark 13:7-8), and dirty bombs could well be part of that.

As far as Iran goes, its president said that it intends to remain in compliance with the deal, but:

TEHRAN: Iran´s President Hassan Rouhani said Monday that his country would stay in the nuclear deal even if the United States pulls out, on the condition that the other parties remain.

“Either what we want from the nuclear deal is guaranteed by the non-American parties, or it is not the case and we will follow our own path,” Rouhani said on the presidency website, without elaborating.

Iranian Pres. Hassan Rouhani said he has directed his diplomats to negotiate with European countries, Russia and China about remaining in the nuclear deal despite the U.S. withdrawal from the agreement.

But Rouhani said Iran is ready to start unlimited uranium enrichment if these negotiations do not yield benefits in a couple of weeks. …

In remarks reported by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Jahangiri, a popular reformist, said it would be “naive” to enter into negotiations with the United States again.

The comments underscored a growing debate among political factions in Iran over what to do if after the U.S. withdrawal. Some politicians have urged the government to continue to work with Europe to salvage the accord, which lifted key international sanctions in exchange for curbs on Iran’s nuclear program.

“If the Europeans are willing to give us sufficient guarantees, it makes sense for us to stay in the deal,” the deputy speaker of Iran’s parliament, Ali Motahari, said in remarks carried by the Iranian Students’ News Agency.

Motahari said Iran should wait several months to see whether Europe plans to resist U.S. pressure to disengage from the Iranian economy, where European companies have invested in sectors ranging from auto manufacturing to oil exploration and tourism.

So, Iran wants to make deals with Europe, as well as drive Europe further away from the USA.

Perhaps it should also be pointed out that some in Iran are having doubts about President Rouhani:

Iran’s economy, which Rouhani promised the deal would bolster, continues to weaken. … Perhaps more concerning to Rouhani and his allies are the growing calls for a “military man” to take over in Iran. While former soldiers and security force members have circled Iran’s politics, a military strongman has never emerged to run Iran since its 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Iran may well get a more militaristic leader–and that may not turn out well for Israel, Iran, or Syria.
