BERLIN (AP) — The best polls put the far-right Alternative for Germany at less than 15 percent of the vote one week before European elections . But with their relentless Facebook messages, tweets and other social media posts, they’re dominating the other parties online.
Like other right-wing parties in Europe, the party known as AfD is taking a page out of U.S. President Donald Trump’s playbook, skirting a traditional media campaign to focus on a provocative social media effort that has prompted more shares and chatter than anyone else. The key question, though, is whether it can turn the internet buzz into actual votes.
“As the first Facebook party of Germany, the AfD knew from the very beginning how to activate and mobilize their fans,” digital expert Martin Fuchs told The Associated Press. “Thousands of fans make sure the party’s content is spread widely and creates a buzz and attention — at least within the AfD bubble.”05/17/19 https://www.apnews.com/fd9d10b52c304f6b9b3c7f3cb1ada5a8
So, it is expected that the ‘right’ will make some, but not total, progress in the upcoming EU election. It also looks like the USA in general, and its president in particular, will be blamed for political gains the ‘right’ may make.
Pope Francis is more supportive of the ‘left.’

Pope FrancisPope Francis said that nation states should give way to globalization in some aspects, calling on them to create “intergovernmental institutions that manage their common interests.”

So, the Vatican supports the idea of the EU becoming a superstate–though many of the ‘right’ in Europe oppose that concept.
This is consistent with a prophecy in the Bible that shows that the final European Beast power will have unity problems:
41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. (Daniel 2:41-43)
Will Europe become fully nationalistic or eventually more unified?

A reorganization is coming to Europe (See also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?) which will essentially eliminate nation states.
It will NOT be right after the election in May 2019, but the stage is getting more and more set for the coming reorganization.

EU leaders pushing towards the Apocalypse
In May 2019, a debate among pro-European Union leaders revealed that change to reduce the European Council and hence reduce the influence of individual nation states was promoted as a way to save the EU from dying. A week or so before, Euro skeptics met at a conference where the leaders there pushed for more national autonomy from the EU as a way to save Europe. On May 3, 2019, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz pushed for replacing or at least changing the Lisbon Treaty. In the Spring of 2019, Pope Francis said the nation state cannot solve what is needed, whereas the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences pushed for the EU to become a supranational state. Are these leaders pushing Europe towards the Apocalypse? What does the Bible teach? How does what the Euro-philes and Euro-skeptics promote tie in with Revelation 17:12-13? Was disunity, but also a Beast unity prophesied? Dr. Thiel addresses these matters and more.
