BIARRITZ, France (AP) — British Prime Minister Boris Johnson won U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval Sunday for his plans to take a tough approach in talks to leave the European Union after a chummy meeting on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit in France.
Johnson glowed as Trump said he gave him a vote of confidence in carrying out the Brexit talks. The British prime minister has vowed to bring his country out of the EU on Oct. 31 no matter what, an approach that has raised worries about a chaotic divorce that could cause chaos and hurt the economy.
Trump promised that he and Johnson would work out “a very big trade deal” between their nations once the United Kingdom leaves the EU.

Boris Johnson has said the chances of a Brexit deal are “touch and go” – having previously said the odds of a no-deal Brexit were “a million to one”.
In a BBC interview at the G7 summit in France, he said it “all depends on our EU friends and partners”.
When pressed on the chances, he said: “I think it’s going to be touch and go. But the important thing is to get ready to come out without a deal.”
Mr. Johnson has repeatedly said the UK will leave the EU on 31 October. …

The leaders of the UK and the US had their first official meeting on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France on Sunday, with President Donald Trump heaping praise on the Prime Minister Boris Johnson and promising stronger trade ties once the UK leaves the EU.

The Europeans are upset about Brexit, upset about Boris Johnson, and upset about Donald Trump.
Having Donald Trump pushing for a hard Brexit, lavishing such praise on Boris Johnson, and encouraging the UK by pointing to a huge trade deal with the US will be seen as unwanted negative interference by the US in the Brexit matter.
In my January 2017 book, Donald Trump and America’s Apocalypse, I wrote the following:

2016 was the turning point for Europe. The vote by the United Kingdom to leave the European Union on June 23, 2016 (called the Brexit), shocked Europe as did the election of Donald Trump on November 8, 2016…
Donald Trump’s rise has also spurred the Europeans to further unify among themselves, especially when combined with the Brexit vote that Donald Trump encouraged. While the Bible shows the Europeans will have difficulties being together (Daniel 2:41-43), it also shows that they will reorganize and unite (Revelation 17:12-13). Donald Trump has been pointed to by various European leaders as ‘proof’ that Europe needs more unification and distance from the USA. (Thiel B. Donald Trump and America’s Apocalypse. In March of 2017, I posted the following:

We are certainly seeing that.
Furthermore, with what has been going on in the UK, the EU, and the USA since the Brexit vote, more in the UK are concluding that the EU wants to be an empire. The EU has taken several stances that the UK does not like, including stances that the EU used to pretend it did not really have. Glimpses of the true colors of the European project (e.g. Daniel 2:41-43; Isaiah 10:5-8) have re-assured some in the UK that leaving the EU is in its best interest.
Consider that the Bible itself teaches that Europe will reorganize and unite (Revelation 17:12-13; see also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?), as well as become the dominant world trading power for a time (Revelation 17 & 18). The Bible also teaches of a time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7)–and this will include the UK (as well as the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand).
The Bible is accurate and its prophecies can be counted on.
Most people do NOT realize what will happen in Europe.
Europe is not going to ‘get over’ the Brexit or Donald Trump and will one day take actions that most of those in the UK (as well as USA and Canada) will not consider possible (cf. Daniel 8:24-25, 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).
