CCOG on European Gospel Radio

Last Monday, the Continuing Church of God began broadcasting on European Gospel Radio.

We have agreed and paid to be on European Gospel Radio (EGR). This is four days per week on its AM station, and three days per week on its shortwave station. This is to be Monday through Thursday each week:

COMBO Shortwave+AM radio on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 20:30-20:45 (8:30-8:45 PM) Central European Time

AM radio only on Monday 21:30-21:45 (9:30-9:45 PM) Central European Time

We cover a wide area including, but not limited to: Northern and Central Italy, Southern Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Southern France, Germany, with DX reception so far reported also in Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Czech Republic, Slovakia.

This began on the 4th of July.

Radio is a proclamation door that we use to reach those we otherwise would not reach. In addition to online radio and being on EGR, we are on the air in Africa on four stations. Plus, I am regularly on the Genesis Communications Network which reaches many in North America.

How frequently will the program be on EGR?

Four days per week.

We have started out with a question and answer format featuring Steve Dupuie and I on Mondays. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, elder Aleksandar ‘Sasha’ Veljic is doing the broadcast our of Serbia.

Why the name Bible News Prophecy?

Two reasons.

The first is that the name conveys what our messages are about. We cite the Bible a lot, and often tie current events in with the Bible and its prophecies. So, that name fit.

And the second reason?

The second reason had to do with YouTube.

Back in 2012, when we decided to put video messages online at YouTube, a gmail account was required.

The name BibleNewsProphecy was the longest we could fit that made sense to us. So, that was the name of our first YouTube channel.

We also decided to name our quarterly magazine Bible News Prophecy as well.

Why radio?

Radio is a proclamation door that we use to reach those we otherwise would not reach. True Christians have been utilizing radio since the 1930s.

Jesus told the Philadelphian Christians:

8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. (Revelation 3:7)

The ‘open door’ to the Philadelphians has to do with gospel proclamation. Consider the following scriptures:

12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened to me by the Lord (2 Corinthians 2:12).

8 But I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost. 9 For a great and effective door has opened to me (1 Corinthians 16:8-9).

27 Now when they had come and gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles (Acts 14:27).

We in the Continuing Church of God are going through the open doors in radio as well as with the printing press, the internet, travel, and personal contact. This includes to areas, like Africa and Europe, with Gentiles.

As far as North America goes, I have been interviewed a couple of hundreds of times on the radio on biblical and prophetic matters.

Recently, I have been on the Genesis Communications Network 17 times since mid April 2022.

How is Bible News Prophecy different from others?

Well, we believe our approach is more biblical.

Because of that, we believe that our prophetic accuracy record is unmatched.

Briefly, what is the history of the Continuing Church of God?

We trace our history back to the founding of the New Testament Church in Acts chapter 2.

Throughout history, including in the Book of Acts, true Christians were called a variety of names.

They, however, tended to call themselves Christians and part of the Church of God. However, they can be traced and we have information about that in our literature, which can be accessed at www.ccog.org and www.biblenewsprophecy.net

We formally declared the name Continuing Church of God in 2012, but I had been part of other Church of God groups since the 1970s, and those groups can be traced backed through other Church of God groups, all the way back to those in Antioch, Asia Minor, and Jerusalem in the first and second centuries of the church era–which began with the granting of God’s Holy Spirit in the 2nd chapter of the Book of Acts.

Are you Roman Catholic or Protestant?

No.

Although the true Church of God is the original catholic church (see Beliefs of the Original Catholic Church), we are neither Roman Catholic (see Beliefs of the Original Catholic Church) nor Protestant (see
Hope of Salvation: How the Continuing Church of God Differs from Protestantism).

According to several Roman Catholic scholars, our pastors were called bishops long before there were any bishops in Rome.

In two words, what kind of church is the Continuing Church of God?

Christian and biblical. And one focused on the missions that Jesus gave.

Radio is one of the forms of mass media that we in the Continuing Church of God use to teach people about Jesus’ Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 24:14) and other teachings (Matthew 28:19-20; Revelation 3:7-13).

CCOG on European Gospel Radio

This is the first message that the Continuing Church of God submitted to be aired over the AM radio station in Northern Italy by European Gospel Radio.
