Netanyahu’s Likud, UTJ reach interim coalition deal
December 7, 2022
Israeli Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party reached an interim coalition agreement with the United Torah Judaism Party on Tuesday. …
Netanyahu has until Dec. 11 to finalize a coalition, though he may ask President Isaac Herzog to grant a two-week extension. …
The party also signaled that Netanyahu would indeed ask Herzog for an additional 14 days to negotiate with his partners.
The Likud has already signed formal coalition deals with Bezalel Smotrich’s Religious Zionism Party, Itamar Ben-Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit and Avi Maoz’s Noam, leaving UTJ and Aryeh Deri’s Shas to finalize a 64-member coalition. https://www.israel365news.com/363180/netanyahus-likud-utj-reach-interim-coalition-deal/
We will see if this coalition holds.
Let me add that years ago, Benjamin Netanyahu publicly opposed Ben Gvir–but politicians often change positions. Here is something about the United Torah Party:
United Torah Judaism (Yahadut HaTorah) is a joint list made up of the ultra-Orthodox parties Agudat Israel and Degel HaTorah. … It also works to preserve the religious character of the State of Israel. https://en.idi.org.il/israeli-elections-and-parties/parties/united-torah-judaism/ accessed 12/07/22
Having the ultra-Orthodox United Torah Party, Bezalel Smotrich’s Religious Zionism Party, Avi Maoz’s Noam party, and Itamar Ben-Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit party in a coalition will provide pressure to Benjamin Netanyahu to take the concerns of practicing Orthodox Jews more seriously.
Now notice something that was posted here 3 years ago related to Ben Gvir;
September 5, 2019
Head of the Otzmah Yehudit (Jewish Power) party, Itamar Ben-Gvir and his Otzma Yehudit party has come out in support of building the third Temple …
On the same day that Ben-Gvir expressed support for building the third Temple, …
The Otzmah Yehudit party is considered to be the most right wing party in the current elections … Otzma Yehudit is the only party left in the elections who publicly supports building the Third Temple. https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/136641/elections-party-expected-enter-next-govt-comes-favor-3rd-temple/
So, Ben Gvir is a supporter of a ‘third temple,’ which also means he would have to be a supporter of the resumption of daily animal sacrifices as that is part of the Jewish purpose for wanting another temple. One would suspect that the United Torah Party would as well.
Here is something else I also posted back in 2019:
Now, what about a political party in favor of a third temple? Well, those that support the construction of another temple, tend to also support the idea of resuming regular animal sacrifices.
Notice the following:
The 71 members of the “Re-established Sanhedrin” say they want to begin sacrificing animals again, despite the absence of the Temple, the ritual altar and all the required implements listed in the Bible. Rabbi Dov Stein of the group admitted…
“We want to do the sacrifice, but we have political problems,” Stein said. “We hope there will come a time when the government will agree. We will push for that to happen.” (Rabbis aim to renew animal sacrifices. Associated Press. Feb 28, 2007. http://www.jpost.com)
While an actual massive temple is not needed for sacrifices according to the Bible (Ezra 3:6), a sacrificial altar is (Ezra 3:2-3).
This has been confirmed to me personally by both the Temple Institute and the reconstituted Sanhedrin (details are in the article: Why is a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem Not Required?).
Back in December 2018, those groups were also involved in ‘dedicating’ an altar to have regular animal sacrifices. We even made the following video related to that:
Sanhedrin makes burnt offering to dedicate altar!
The Reconstituted Sanhedrin performed a ceremony on December 10, 2018 to dedicate a new altar for the use of daily sacrifices. High Priest Rabbi Baruch Kahane officiated. How does this align with Bible prophecy? Daniel wrote three times that the daily sacrifices must stop, hence they first must resume. The Great Tribulation will begin shortly after these sacrifices stop. In this video Dr. Thiel, who has also been to Israel and spoken with The Temple Institute quotes several scriptures and explains why the actions by the Sanhedrin align with prophecy and the end times. Here is a link to our video: Sanhedrin makes burnt offering to dedicate altar!
So, since they have a ‘dedicated altar’ why haven’t the Jews begun daily sacrifices?
While, technically, Israeli courts have ruled that the Jews have the right to do so, they have also concluded that in the current political climate that they cannot yet be allowed.
But what if the political climate in Israel’s Knesset (its parliament) or elsewhere changes?
Well, that something will change as the Bible shows that sacrifices will exist, and then be stopped, in the last days there (cf. Daniel 9:27 and 11:31)
I do believe that the time will come when Israel will allow those sacrifices and having “pro-sacrifice” politicians, which the “pro-third temple” politicians are, will be a factor in allowing that to happen.
Since the Bible teaches that animal sacrifices will stop (Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11), they must first resume. One person at the Temple Institute reported to one of our sons that this could be done within hours of getting permission. Someone there also told me personally that the Temple Institute DID NOT NEED a massive Jewish temple in order to resume animal sacrifices. They basically only need Levites and an altar, and they have that.
And getting permission to resume animal sacrifices is not impossible–particularly if the Knesset gets a block of politicians that want them. (Thiel B. Israeli political party Otzmah Yehudit backs call for a ‘Third Temple’. COGwriter, September 5, 2019)
That being said, the Bible is clear that regular sacrifices will be stopped:
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:27)
31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. (Daniel 11:31)
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. (Daniel 12:11)
For them to be stopped, they first need to be started.
Now, the fact that at least two Orthodox Jewish parties are making a deal with Benjamin Netanyahu is consistent with something I posted back in 2008:
Because Israel has a parliamentary system of governance and is normally governed by a coalition of parties, I believe that at some point in time a coalition party that insists on animal sacrifices will become part of the top governance and the sacrifices will then begin–though they may last only a very short period of time–but long enough for the King of the North to stop them per Daniel 11:31. (Thiel B. Animal Sacrifice Planned for April 6? COGwriter, April 3, 2008).
Notice something that I wrote which was posted on this page over nine years ago:
Israeli courts have agreed that Jews have the right to perform animal sacrifices, but have repeatedly denied this right as the timing would have excessively negative consequences. And to rebuild a temple in the area that the Muslims consider sacred would be even more problematic politically–especially at this instant.
Of course, in a nation as politically fragmented as modern Israel, the time may come when a ruling coalition will itself have in it some members of a small religious group that will insist on the resumption of sacrifices on the Temple Mount for it to remain in office. And allowing sacrifices on a small altar certainly would seem politically more plausible than the construction of a Jewish temple on the dome of the rock or otherwise next to the al-Aqsa Mosque. While this may not be seen as viable in every possible Israeli administration, it certainly is a possibility for a future one. (Thiel B. Temple Institute reports disturbance on Temple Mount. COGwriter, April 25, 2013)
So, we keep hearing about small political parties who have publicly backed the idea of a third temple. Politically, and from an international and economic perspective, it is easier to resume animal sacrifices on an altar than it is to demolish structures and build a massive third temple complex.
Although they are in the minority, there are significant numbers of Jewish religious leaders who are intent on starting regular animal sacrifices as soon as possible. And these Jewish leaders do not believe that they have to wait in order for a temple to rebuilt in order to do so. That said, the arrival of five unblemished red heifers in Israel last month is also exciting those who want to resume animal sacrifices. Related to that, we put together the following video:
The Temple Institute announced that “5 perfect, unblemished red heifers arrived in Israel from the USA” on September 15, 2022.. Chanan Kupietzky, an Orthodox Jewish teacher, pointed out that last year was 5781 in the Jewish calendar, pointing to the year these red heifers were conceived, 5782 is when they were to arrive in Israel, and that the year beginning sunset September 25, 2022 is supposedly 5783, which is supposed to be the year of red heifer redemption. Is that the correct year anno mundi (year of the earth) or is 5989 to 5992 more in line with history? What about the claimed Shemitah year? Might the appearance of a proper red heifer encourage the Sanhedrin to begin regular animal sacrifices? Might political considerations result in the resumption of animal sacrifices? Does the Bible show that animal sacrifices in Israel will be stopped? Does possibly having a red heifer mean that a massive Jewish temple is about to be rebuilt in Jerusalem? Do Christians need the sacrifice of Jesus or the blood of a red heifer to be purified? How close do we seem to be for Daniel 9:27b to be fulfilled?
Here is a link to our video: 5 Red Heifers and Year 5783?
We are getting closer to the time when Daniel 9:7, 11:31, and 12:11 are to be fulfilled.
Despite the likelihood that it may take a war, peace deal, and/or political gridlock for that to happen, the resumption of animal sacrifices will come to pass as the Bible teaches.
It has been stated that “politics makes strange bedfellows.”
The political agreements with Benjamin Netanyahu demonstrate that.
Politicians can agree to things others would not think possible–and the biblical reality is that sacrifices will resume in Israel.
Politics will play a role!

Church of God on Jerusalem’s Western Hill Could this building, often referred to as the Cenacle, possibly have been the oldest actual Christian church building?
Does the ‘Cenacle’ deal have prophetic ramifications? After a 20 year negotiation, the Church of Rome has negotiated the right to have Catholic mass in the building known as the Cenacle. It is in the area where the Church of God on Jerusalem’s Western Hill once stood. This is believed to be the location of the earliest Christian church building.
