Jamaica may be the next country to sever ties with the British monarchy, with a referendum in the island nation on whether to remove King Charles as their head of state set for 2024. … it’s not the only one considering leaving the monarchy behind.

According to media reports, government officials in Belize, the Bahamas, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, and St.Kitts and Nevis have all signaled that they want to become republics in the near future too. …

If these nations do choose to become republics, then they will join the ranks of several others in the Caribbean region – Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Dominica – which all removed the then-monarch Queen Elizabeth II as their head of state in the 1970s. Barbados too followed suit in November 2021, becoming the world’s newest republic and in the words of the country’s first president Dame Sandra Mason, took the steps “to fully leave our colonial past behind.”

There are 56 independent countries in the Commonwealth. Only 14 of those are considered a part of the ‘Commonwealth Realm’, where King Charles is the official head of state. …

a poll on the topic by Lord Ashcroft, a pollster and former deputy chairman of the UK Conservative Party, which was carried out between February and March of 2023. … found that when asked “If there was a referendum tomorrow, would you vote to remain a monarchy or to become a republic?” a greater share of people in seven out of the 14 surveyed nations of the Commonwealth Realm wanted to remove King Charles as their head of state rather than to keep him.

Among these were the people of the Solomon Islands (59 percent would vote to become a republic versus 35 percent to remain a monarchy), the Bahamas (51 percent to 27 percent), Canada (47 percent to 23 percent) and Jamaica (49 percent to 40 percent). The remaining respondents in these countries either said they didn’t know or would not vote.

In several countries the response was more mixed, such as Antigua and Barbuda (47 percent opting for becoming a republic and 45 percent remaining a monarchy) and Belize (43 percent to 48 percent). Meanwhile, respondents in Tuvalu, St. Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Wales were more clear cut in their ambitions to maintain the status quo.

Within the UK, Scottish respondents – despite close referendums and polls on the topic in recent years – said that they would choose to remain part of the monarchy, at least under the circumstances of a ‘next day’ referendum, with only 14 percent of respondents saying that they would prefer to become a republic. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/which-nations-want-cut-ties-british-monarchy

So, the Solomon Islands are first, Bahamas second, and Jamaica third.

We reported here about Jamaica right after the start of Spring in 2022 (see ‘Jamaica to remove ties to monarchy as soon as William and Kate leave, sources say’).

If Jamaica does depart, it will basically be following the lead of Barbados that left in November of 2021 (see Barbados becomes a republic and drops the British crown).

It is interesting to understand that the old British empire was the largest empire in human history:

In 1913, 412 million people lived under the control of the British Empire, 23 percent of the world’s population at that time. It remains the largest empire in human history and at the peak of its power in 1920, it covered an astonishing 13.71 million square miles – that’s close to a quarter of the world’s land area. (McCarthy N. The Biggest Empires In Human History. Statista, December 19, 2019).

We believe that this happened because of promises God gave to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the sons of Joseph (see also the free online book: Lost Tribes and Prophecies: What will happen to Australia, the British Isles, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and the United States of America?).

Notice:

11 And Israel said to Joseph, “I had not thought to see your face; but in fact, God has also shown me your offspring!”

13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near him. 14 Then Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn. 15 And he blessed Joseph, and said:

“God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day, 16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them

19 “… He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.” 20 So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will bless, saying, ‘May God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!’ ”

21 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers. 22 Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow.” (Genesis 48:11-16,19-22).

It should also be mentioned that since Jacob’s name was changed to Israel (Genesis 32:28), that in the first statement above he is clearly indicating that biblically one or both of the sons of Joseph could be referred to by the name Israel. And although Manasseh (some of whose descendants came to what became the USA) was born first, God had Jacob give the “right hand” blessing to Ephraim (Genesis 48:13-14) and God later declared, “Ephraim is my firstborn” (Jeremiah 31:9). This may be why Ephraim (which represents the British-descended peoples) emerged as a major power before the USA (and of course it lost its position as the top international power). Notice that Ephraim was promised to become a multitude of nations–this was fulfilled by the old British Empire–and even currently there are the ethnically, British-dominated nations of the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

Notice also that in Genesis 48, Israel said that the sons of Joseph would get more than the brothers. And while that had ancient application, it also may be part of why we have seen the past couple of centuries with British-American dominance of the world.

We in the Church of God have also been teaching for decades that the United Kingdom and USA would ultimately lose influence as well as many of their sea gates. Notice the following from 1979:

Where do we find the United States and the British mentioned in the Biblical prophecies, yes, where? If you’ll think this through, listen.

We are the wealthiest of nations. We have been the most powerful. We and the British are the same family of peoples. Together we possess more than two-thirds of all the wealth and the developed resources of this whole world, of this whole round earth on which we live. …

But, my friends, already the British are on the way down. Since World War II, the British have lost a great deal of their power. They are losing their colonies, their foreign possessions which brought them their wealth. And the United States at this moment is having its great strength and its power sapped. …

Never on the face of the earth has there been a nation of such wealth and such great power as the United States and the British have had during this century.

Now, why? How did all that happen? … the United States and the British Commonwealth are not ignored in Biblical prophecy. …

Joseph was given a double portion and his two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh each became a tribe; and so, rather, you usually read of the tribe of Ephraim and the tribe of Manasseh although the name Joseph is occasionally used but there it includes the two tribes.

We in the CCOG believe the Anglo-American peoples gained possession of land and wealth because of blessings from God and would lose them because of blatant disobedience.

Notice a couple of prophetic warnings that are consistent with that:

58 “If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD, 59 then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues — great and prolonged plagues — and serious and prolonged sicknesses. 60 Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. 61 Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed. 62 You shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God. 63 And it shall be, that just as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess. (Deuteronomy 28:58-63)

24 ‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. 25 For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. 26 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you 27 (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), 28 lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. (Leviticus 18:24-29)

23 ‘And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. (Leviticus 26:23-25)

So, those that were promised blessings were also told that they would be subject to losing those blessings if they disobeyed God. As far as being plucked from the land, see Will the Anglo-Saxon Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?

Also consider that for many years, the major sea gates of the world were possessed/controlled by the United States (Panama Canal and certain locations in the Pacific ocean; watch also The Panama Canal and its Impact on Biblical Prophecy) and the British Empire (Straits of Malacca, Singapore, Suez Canal, Bab el Mandeb, Strait of Hormuz, Simon’s Town/Cape of Good Hope, Malta, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands, etc.). And while that is no longer the case for many of them, they seem to have been prophesied to be taken away for disobedience as well (c.f. Deuteronomy 28:52)—and certainly these nations have disobeyed the God of Abraham, as well as actually have lost many of those gates. Thus, it seems logical to conclude that the remaining “sea gates” that the UK has such as Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands will be separated from UK control. Spain directly, or perhaps, through the EU (or some other European confederation) indirectly, will force out British control over Gibraltar. As an island, Barbados, in a sense, is another sea gate loss (though not as strategically significant as many of the others).

The fact of the losses so far, of many of the Anglo-American sea gates, should show us that various curses have begun to hit the Anglo-nations. More will as well until the Anglo nations (including the USA) will be no more.

Anyway, those who have received the blessings given to the sons of Joseph are in the process of losing them.

The old British Empire is no more and the UK has less and less influence.
