Houthi rebels vowed “escalation” in reaction to U.S. and U.K. strikes launched in Yemen on Sunday.
A spokesman for the Iran-backed group vowed to continue its campaign of disrupting regional trade “no matter the sacrifices it costs us.” The U.S. and U.K. launched a series of attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen this weekend in reaction to a lethal drone attack on a U.S. base in Jordan last week.
“The US-British coalition’s bombing of a number of Yemeni provinces will not change our position, and we affirm that our military operations against Israel will continue until the crimes of genocide in Gaza are stopped and the siege on its residents is lifted, no matter the sacrifices it costs us,” Houthi spokesman Mohammed al-Bukhaiti wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. 02/04/24 https://www.foxnews.com/world/houthis-vow-escalation-us-uk-launch-more-strikes-yemen

Yemen’s UN-recognized government has warned of the possibility that Houthi rebels could cut undersea internet cables off the country’s Red Sea coast, calling it “a serious threat to one of the most important digital infrastructures in the world.”
Moammar Al-Eryani, the Aden-based government’s minister for information, culture and tourism, posted the statement to X following an analysis published in the Gulf International Forum.
That analysis warned of the potential shift in the Houthi’s strategy in the Red Sea.
Such a move would see the Houthis’ strategy shift from targeting shipping — itself deeply disruptive to the global economy — to the global flow of information.
The Houthis have previously disavowed the notion.

The Houthis are mainly based in Yemen. They have already contributed to international chaos by attacking ships in the Red Sea which has resulted in many taking the long route below Africa to avoid the risk. This increases costs for oil and other items.
Previous USA attacks have NOT stopped the Houthi forces from their attacks against ships.
The Houthis claim that they will continue their attacks until Israel basically leaves Gaza alone. The attacks by the Houthis have not persuaded the Israelis to change in any discernible way.

It is predominantly made up of Zaidi Shias, with their namesake leadership being drawn largely from the Houthi tribe.[82]
Under the leadership of Zaidi religious leader Hussein al-Houthi, the Houthis emerged as an opposition movement to Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh, whom they accused of corruption and being backed by Saudi Arabia and the United States. … The Houthis have a complex relationship with Yemen’s Sunnis; the movement has discriminated against Sunnis but has also allied with and recruited them.[95][96][88] The Houthis aim to govern all of Yemen and support external movements against the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.[97] Because of the Houthis’ ideological background, the conflict in Yemen is widely seen as a front of the Iran–Saudi Arabia proxy war.[98]

The Iranians are Shia Muslims and back the Houthis. Many consider that the Houthis are simply Iranians proxies carrying out what Iran wants done.
US attacks in the Middle East are likely going to trigger terrorism against USA targets abroad as well as within its porous borders. Notice a couple of scriptures that support that view:

On February 2, 2024, the USA launched a massive attack against what it claimed were Iranian-back militias in retaliation for strikes against USA troops and other interests. Iraq and Iran condemned these attacks. Is this the start of World War Three? Who will be the protagonist for WWIII? What about a larger regional conflict in the Middle East?
