Valentine’s Day Approaches

Valentine’s Day approaches next month, so once again, I noticed that the falsely labeled Christianity Today is compromising from biblical principles in order to attempt economic gain as it is promoting some jewelry purchases on its “Valentine’s Day” page.

Actually, compromise with pagan traditions for membership and/or economic factors is essentially one of the major areas that separates those truly in Christ’s Church from those who mainly just use His name.  Furthermore, those in Christ’s Church try to live their lives in accordance with the law of God as Jesus did.  Days that were compromises with paganism were not endorsed by Jesus or His early followers.

And just because people use the name of Christ and call themselves Christian does not mean that they are.

Notice what Jesus taught:

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

Valentine’s Day is not a biblical holiday.

It is essentially based upon lawlessness and does not edify Christ.
