Hezbollah hurled dozens of projectiles into Israel early Wednesday, including a missile aimed at Tel Aviv that was the militant group’s deepest strike yet and marked a further escalation after Israeli strikes on Lebanon killed hundreds of people.
The Israeli military said it intercepted the surface-to-surface missile, which set off air-raid sirens in Tel Aviv and across central Israel. There were no reports of casualties or damage. The military said it struck the site in southern Lebanon where the missile was launched.
Hezbollah said it fired a Qader 1 ballistic missile targeting the headquarters of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, which it blames for a recent string of targeted killings of its top commanders and for an attack last week in which explosives hidden in pagers and walkie-talkies killed dozens of people and wounded thousands, including many Hezbollah members. …
Hezbollah’s latest strikes included dozens of rockets fired Wednesday into northern Israel, with one hitting an empty home and sparking a fire in the city of Safed. The Israeli military said that at one point the militants fired 40 projectiles simultaneously.
Israel responded with its own new strikes on Hezbollah. In Lebanon, at least three people were killed and nine wounded in an Israeli strike near Byblos, according to the country’s Health Ministry. Months of negotiations have proved fruitless, and it appears that we really are about to get a “full-fledged war” in the Middle East. Sadly, I don’t think that any of the parties involved have really thought this through. Both sides have been arming themselves to the teeth since the last war ended in 2006, and both sides are willing to literally do whatever it takes to win. Of course Israel will not just be fighting Hezbollah this time around. The IDF will be facing an entire alliance of enemies, and in order to win such a conflict the Israelis will be forced to do things that they would rather not do. …
I expect that Israel will continue to strike Hezbollah targets all over southern Lebanon, and thousands upon thousands of local residents are fleeing north in order to escape the violence…
Cars choked Lebanon’s highways as people fled into the night, trying to escape north toward the capital Beirut.
“It was a day of terror,” 41-year-old housewife Thuraya Harb told AFP at a makeshift center for displaced families in Beirut after fleeing her home in south Lebanon.
“I didn’t want to leave my home, but the children were scared,” the mother of four said, adding that the family fled “with nothing but the clothes on our backs.”
So many families and so many children on both sides are being affected by this conflict. …
Of course there are a lot of experts that believe Iran could be pulled directly into the conflict as well, and Iranian leaders are issuing some very ominous statements…
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said today that its ally Hezbollah ‘cannot stand alone’ against Israel, which he said was ‘being defended and supported and supplied by Western countries, by European countries and the United States’.
He said Iran had ‘never started a war in the last 100 years’ and was ‘not looking to cause insecurity’.
But he insisted that Iran ‘will never allow a country to force us into something and threaten our security and territorial integrity’, while his foreign minister Abbas Araghchi posted on X that ‘Iran will NOT remain indifferent’ to the conflict.
Iran and Hezbollah both possess vast arsenals of highly sophisticated missiles.
And the combined ground forces of Iran, Hezbollah and other Iranian-backed groups throughout the region would greatly outnumber the ground forces that the IDF is able to muster. …

Is Iran preparing for likely destruction to parts of Israel? What about great damage coming to Jerusalem which is prophesied?
The Bible shows that God will allow what looks to be a Iranian-Syrian-Lebanese confederation to strike the nation of Israel:
1 The burden against the Valley of Vision.
What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops, 2 You who are full of noise, A tumultuous city, a joyous city? Your slain men are not slain with the sword, Nor dead in battle. 3 All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. All who are found in you are bound together; They have fled from afar. 4 Therefore I said, “Look away from me, I will weep bitterly; Do not labor to comfort me Because of the plundering of the daughter of my people.”
5 For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity By the Lord God of hosts In the Valley of Vision — Breaking down the walls And of crying to the mountain. 6 Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir uncovered the shield. 7 It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots, And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
8 He removed the protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, And the houses you broke down To fortify the wall. 11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls For the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, Nor did you have respect for Him who fashioned it long ago.
12 And in that day the Lord God of hosts Called for weeping and for mourning, For baldness and for girding with sackcloth. 13 But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
14 Then it was revealed in my hearing by the Lord of hosts,”Surely for this iniquity there will be no atonement for you, Even to your death,” says the Lord God of hosts. (Isaiah 22:1-14 NKJV)
Elam is a reference to at least some in Iran. Kir is of interest as it it looks to include Syrians and others in the region. The “House of the Forest” was anciently located in Lebanon (e.g. 1 Kings 7:2, 10:17,21; 2 Chronicles 9:16,20).
In Isaiah 22: 8, “Judah” is a reference to those in the land commonly called Israel–God will allow Israel to be attacked! In Isaiah 22:9, consider that “the damage to the city of David” is a reference to at least part of Jerusalem–and notice that the damage will be great.
At the beginning of this post, is a photograph of an Iranian hypersonic missile.
Iran said it successfully used two that hit military targets in Israel during its attack last April (see https://www.armyrecognition.com/news/army-news/2024/iran-launched-non-interceptable-hypersonic-missile-fattah-2-during-airstrike-against-israel).
Iran has had some time to analyze and prepare for a future attack.
Because the USA and others assisted Israel last time, I suspect that it has a multi-part plan for a much more devastating attack.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei ordered another direct attack on the Jewish state following the alleged Israeli bombing, The New York Times reported on Wednesday, citing Iranian officials.
In addition, Israel has been awaiting Hezbollah’s response since Tuesday after it killed Fuad Shukr in Beirut, a terrorist responsible for the rocket attack that killed 12 children in the Golan Heights, as well as a 1983 bombing that killed more than 300 U.S. and French troops in Beirut.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah told attendees at Shukr’s funeral via video on Thursday that “the enemy and those who stand behind him must await our coming retaliation, which will be certain.” https://israel365news.com/394031/us-iranian-attack-on-israel-could-be-worse-than-april-assault/
While the above report left out Syria it, and likely others, look to be involved in removing “the protection of Judah.”
Might a major attack be soon?
