A new Disney animated television series released by Disney Television Animation on Friday has many parents concerned that the House that Mickey Mouse Built has transitioned into giving children a bizarre pro-demon and witchcraft message.
The Owl House, created by Dana Terrace …
Terrace did have to convince the Disney people to venture into decidedly un-Disney territory.
“I am always trying to push them to go a little bit darker and weirder because I find that stuff fun,” Terrace told Newsweek. “There is sometimes a concern with family networks for what is considered family-friendly…because Disney is such a big company that in certain corners, they say that maybe they don’t want to take those risks,” Hirsch said. “Walt Disney took those risks, and that’s why we are sitting in this building. You have to remind yourself that Disney is the full spectrum of emotions, creatures and scary things.” …
Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) published an article criticizing the Disney series for trying “to portray witchcraft as a positive tool to fight evil.”
“Folks, if you think this latest ‘Owl House’ show is just ‘fantasy and fun,’ think again,” CBN wrote. “Over the years, Disney has gone farther and farther into the darkness of the spiritual world that opposes the living God, coming up with programming and characters that lead the vulnerable into that dark world of deception.” …
Through Disney productions like The Owl House as well as novels like Harry Potter and the Trilogy written by J.R.R. Tolkein, witchcraft and sorcery have become mainstream. …
An article on Patheos, .. goes on to slam CBN’s critique of Disney with a strangely pro-witchcraft primer on how to become a real practitioner of the dark arts.
“Can you imagine how great it would be if you could learn witchcraft from watching a cartoon? Unfortunately, as most witches know, that’s not how it works. Witchcraft takes a ton of work and study and practice. You can no more learn to be a witch from watching The Owl House as you can from watching Harry Potter, though positive portrayals of witchcraft as a marginalized practice are important and can change public perception of what witches are—which is magick in itself. The same is true for positive portrayals in media of people of color, queer folks, and people who are differently-abled. This includes fantasy. Children need fantasy in their lives, or they’re likely to believe fantasies such as Trump somehow being remotely Christian when they grow up.” …

While I do not believe Donald Trump is a real Christian, promotion of witchcraft is terribly wrong and does not stop people from believing in lies. Actually, the more people want to believe in sorceries, the more lies they base their lives on.
Of course, it is not just Disney promoting demonism.
There is also something called A Children’s Book of Demons which is basically a manual of witchcraft to invoke demons and the spirit of the dead for children. It contains 72 demons that can be conjured by children supposedly for their personal benefit (which is the definition of black magic). By essentially promising children a false way to cope, the book , as well as Disney’s program, seem to be related to the following:
18 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. (2 Peter 2:18-20)
The coping liberty that the book and program are pointing to is to in further bondage to sin.
The Bible condemns these things:
16 They provoked Him to jealousy with foreign gods;
With abominations they provoked Him to anger.
17 They sacrificed to demons, not to God,
To gods they did not know,
To new gods, new arrivals
That your fathers did not fear. (Deuteronomy 32:16-17)10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12)
You are not to call out to, or worship, those in the demonic realm.
Demonic possession can happen and is real.
In Jesus’ day there were those who were adults (e.g. Matthew 8:16) and even children (e.g. Matthew 17:18) possessed by demons, or by evil spirits. Today there exist certain spiritist sects which are involved in a conscious effort to contact “higher beings,” or their “angels,” or “aliens.” This kind of spiritism is often little more than an open invitation to demon-possession.
There should not be children’s books encouraging this.
Now, notice the following from the New Testament:
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. (1 Peter 5:8-10)
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:7-8)
We are to resist Satan, not call out to him or his demons to assist us.
The program The Owl House and the book A Children’s Book of Demons are consistent with the following prophecy:
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, (1 Timothy 4:1-3)
Many have had their conscience seared.
We are not to call out to demons nor want to be witches.
Demons are fallen angels.
While demons may well want to be worshiped or called to, the Bible warns against that:
18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God. (Colossians 2:18-19)
We need to be faithful to God and worship God (Revelation 22:9).
As far as angels go, faithful angels do not wish to be worshiped. Notice what an angel said when one bowed before him:
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10)
We are not to worship angels nor try to become witches.
Notice what God says parents should do:
6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)
6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6).
Warn your children AWAY from demons. Do not act like it is cute for them to try to communicate with them. Nor should witchcraft be promoted.

Jesus said:

Abide in the word of God.
Denounce attempts promoting witchcraft and demonism.
The truth is that no one, child or adult, should be trying to contact demons nor try to be a witch.
