Good News: Over 50 abortion clinics have been shut down

A report claims that efforts by some on the pro-life side have been so successful, that over 50 abortion clinics have been shut down in the past three years:

Beginning in earnest around 2010, reproductive rights opponents in state Legislatures across the country have been aggressively targeting abortion providers and family planning services with hundreds of restrictions and regulations intended to block women from accessing basic health care.

Their efforts have had devastating consequences for women nationwide. Over the last three years, more than 50 abortion clinics have closed or ceased offering the procedure, according to a survey of state health departments conducted by the Huffintgon Post. By calling pro-lifers, “reproductive rights opponents” the above author shows her bias. And while she and some others are disturbed by this, this means that some babies that would have been killed have not been killed and the abortionists murdered less than perhaps they would have otherwise.

It is nice to report good news on occasion. Especially since the overall trend in the USA is not good.
