Leaked document points to US Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade abortion decision: Could this spark civil unrest?

Abortion is evil. Yet, on January 22, 1973 the United States Supreme Court decided to overturn state laws prohibiting abortion in a case known as Roe vs. Wade. The decision was wrong and there are still some who argue against it. A leaked draft suggests that the US Supreme Court may overturn that evil decision:

WASHINGTON (AP) — A draft opinion suggests the U.S. Supreme Court could be poised to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion nationwide, according to a Politico report.

A decision to overrule Roe would lead to abortion bans in roughly half the states and could have huge ramifications for this year’s elections. But it’s unclear if the draft represents the court’s final word on the matter — opinions often change in ways big and small in the drafting process.

Whatever the outcome, the Politico report late Monday represents an extremely rare breach of the court’s secretive deliberation process, and on a case of surpassing importance.

“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” the draft opinion states. It was signed by Justice Samuel Alito, a member of the court’s 6-3 conservative majority who was appointed by former President George W. Bush.

The document was labeled a “1st Draft” of the “Opinion of the Court” in a case challenging Mississippi’s ban on abortion after 15 weeks, a case known as Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

The court is expected to rule on the case before its term ends in late June or early July.

Having also read the Constitution of the United States, I also do not see the “right” to kill unborn babies. Presumably the Supreme Court justices have also read that Constitution, and if they look strictly at that, all should see the same thing.

The majority of the court has decided to vote 5-4 to overturn federal constitutional protection of abortion rights, with Justice Samuel Alito writing, “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” in addition to asserting, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled.”

In an unprecedented move, the opinion was leaked to Politico, presumably in an attempt to create massive social unrest that would lead to one or more of the justices being intimidated into changing their mind.

The leaking of the opinion is brazenly an attempt to subvert that process, create more chaos and violence in America, and derail the constitutional functioning of the Supreme Court.

Yes, there was been a history of a lot of falsehood used to attempt to justify murder. Interestingly Norma L. McCorvey, the woman that the pro-abortion forces used to get the decision (whose court case was filed under the alias of Jane Roe) that the pro-abortion forces wanted, later regretted her decision. So much so that in August 1995, Norma L. McCorvey announced that she had become an advocate of Operation Rescue’s campaign to make abortion illegal.

In the case of abortion, one lie that they used to tell a lot was that the baby is a fetus, not really a human and then falsely claim that they did not know when human life began.

Well, if they do not know when human life begins, then to be on the safe side, they should never abort.

Yet, the scientific reality is that biologists all realize that a new life begins at conception.

Aborting babies is wrong. It is the murdering of human beings.

That being said, there is a concern that the much of the media and other pro-abortion groups will whip up demonstrations and violence. Furthermore, the pro-abortionists could be a factor in civil unrest and even civil war. Notice also the following:

CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin appeared on Don Lemon Tonight Monday, where he reacted to the unprecedented leak of a Supreme Court draft opinion signaling the court’s plan to overturn Roe vs. Wade, written by conservative Justice Samuel Alito. The move would do away with abortion rights at the federal level, leaving it up to the states. With a safe conservative majority of 6-3 in the Supreme Court, Toobin expects Republicans to look to overturn other laws that are unpopular among conservatives. He believes that same sex marriage, legalized by the Supreme Court in 2015, could be next.

“Jeffrey, you talked about Roe in the beginning and you mentioned Griswold vs. Connecticut,” Lemon said. “What other cases have been decided based on these precedents that could now be in jeopardy?” “Same sex marriage is, certainly,” Toobin replied. “This came up a lot during the confirmation hearings of judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. Since many homosexuals want to be married, the above looks like a way to incense them to protest as well.

This may well lead to various attempted actions by the Biden-Harris Administration to perhaps try to increase the number of Supreme Court members in an effort to dilute the votes of those they oppose.

That being said, even if Roe v. Wade is overturned, that will not stop abortions in the USA. Prior to Roe v. Wade, each state had laws either allowing or not allowing abortions.

The Biden-Harris Administration has vowed to increase abortion access, help fund Planned Parenthood, and provide abortion funds to kill babies outside of the USA. Kamala Harris was one of the most vehement pro-abortion US senators before becoming vice-president. Notice also the following:

Pro-life leaders have warned against Joe Biden’s “aggressively pro-abortion” pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. The most recently approved Supreme Court justice that Joe Biden nominated is staunchly pro-abortion (see Another abortionist gets Senate confirmation for the US Supreme Court).

But it is not just Joe Biden and Kamala Harris–the majority of the members of the US Congress are not truly opposed to Roe vs. Wade. Despite the Planned Parenthood ‘baby-parts’ scandal in 2015, nothing much has changed in the law. However the draft document suggests a possible major change coming.

The Bible condemns those that shed innocent blood, as that is something that God hates:

So you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you when you do what is right in the sight of the LORD (Deuteronomy 21:9).

These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren (Proverbs 6:16-19).

Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace (Isaiah 59:7-8).

Thus says the LORD: “Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place (Jeremiah 22:3).

“Yet your eyes and your heart are for nothing but your covetousness, For shedding innocent blood, And practicing oppression and violence” (Jeremiah 22:17).

Babies are innocent. Killing them is the shedding of innocent blood.

34 Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34).

Killing babies through abortion is not righteous. It is a reproach to nations that allow and encourage it.

Those that consent to abortions are often proud, are normally lying to themselves that they are not doing violence to a human being, and often have abortions because of their own lusts and covetousness. Adding the sin of abortion to their other sins is simply not the answer.

They also place themselves in the same category as Judas Iscariot, for he admitted that when he betrayed Jesus Christ, he (Judas) betrayed “innocent blood” (Matthew 27:4). Jesus was betrayed by someone He considered to be a friend–no baby should be betrayed by the mother that is supposed to love it.

Women are struck emotionally for the rest of their lives when they consent to an abortion (the Bible even warns of curses for killing the innocent, Deuteronomy 27:25). That is not a choice they should ever make.

Abortion is wrong. And promoting or simply approving sexual immorality is wrong (cf. Romans 1:18-32).

There are terrible consequences for sin, and instead of properly discouraging sexual immorality, abortion increases the tendency towards sin.
