After the election, the UK a step closer to leaving the EU?

There were some anti-EU results in many of the elections this weekend with the strongest result probably in the United Kingdom:

LONDON—The euroskeptic U.K. Independence Party was on course for victory in European Parliament elections after millions of voters snubbed Prime Minister David Cameron‘s coalition government one year before the country’s next general election…
UKIP, which argues that Britain needs to leave the European Union to regain control over its own policy, is part of a groundswell of anti-EU parties that did well on the back of anger at the political establishment. The party had jumped to the top of some opinion polls ahead of the vote following a controversial campaign warning that immigrants want to take British jobs and claiming that the U.K. is now run by the EU.

“The penny has really dropped that as members of this [European] union we can’t run our own country, and crucially we can’t control our own borders,” UKIP leader Nigel Farage said in a victory speech after retaining his European Parliament seat in the southeast region, where the euroskeptic party topped the poll. The straight-talking former commodities broker was hoping for a strong result to provide a beachhead for the general elections, when the party hopes to win its first British parliamentary seat. Mr. Farage has said he would run for a parliamentary constituency next year.

What about Europe and the UKs role in it?

The English-speaking nations will not prosper for long in connection with this system, however. In fact, they will ultimately be overpowered and destroyed by it militarily. Prior to military attack and occupation, devastating weather problems, combined with internal civil strife (“tumults in the midst” cf. Perhaps it should be mentioned that the general position within the Churches of God is that Britain will not remain in the EU and will pull out at some point. (Thiel B. It should be understood that ultimately, Britain will NOT thrive as part of the EU but will be taken over by the final European Beast power–yet its former Prime Minister is promoting something that will not help the peoples of the UK. Bible prophecy clearly shows that Britain will not be one of the TEN NATIONS comprising the final United States of Europe (McNair R. A Strong United Europe. Tomorrow’s World, February 1970, p. 17).

This latest election suggest that the Europeans are less than pleased with the UK and may wish to have it leave the European Union.

The Bible itself clearly teaches that a successfully warring power will emerge again in Europe (Daniel 11:29-44). The Bible also shows that the world will marvel, be astonished, by this European power’s military success (Revelation 13:4)–and that this King of the North power will even destroy the USA, the power with the “strongest fortresses” according to Daniel 11:39.

Various ones in Britain want it to leave the European Union. Nigel Farage wants the EU dismantled–and he seems to have some idea of the threat that a more united European power will bring with it.

Europe itself will change. The Bible actually teaches that the European Beast power will have to have three reorganizations (Revelation 17:12, 13, & 15-18), not necessarily counting what Nigel Farage hopes will happen (see also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?).

The reality is that the UK will leave or somehow be eliminated from the final confederation of nations that will be part of the European Beast power. Ultimately, the Europeans will divide up and rule the UK.

While the European power is starting to rise up, and will have problems (Daniel 2:41-43; Revelation 18) before it fully does, the UK will ultimately find it is not a friend. Nigel Farage will be right about that.

Although there is some positive economic news for the UK, the Bible warns of a time of trouble for the Anglo-Saxon-Celtic nations (Jeremiah 30:7) and that they will be taken over by a European power, and this will also include the USA (Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).

Steps that the UK and USA have taken, and will take (perhaps with some help by Nigel Farage), are helping set the stage for this.
