BEIJING (AP) — Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang warned Tuesday that Beijing and Washington are headed for “conflict and confrontation” if the U.S. doesn’t change course, striking a combative tone at a moment when relations between the rivals are at a historic low.
In his first news conference since taking office late last year, Qin’s harsh language appeared to defy predictions that China might abandon its aggressive “wolf warrior” diplomacy in favor of more moderate rhetoric as the two countries face off over trade and technology, Taiwan, human rights and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Washington’s China policy has “entirely deviated from the rational and sound track,” Qin told journalists on the sidelines of the annual meeting of China’s rubber-stamp legislature, when leaders lay out their economic and political priorities for the coming year.

When I first started warning people that we would eventually go to war with China many years ago, a lot of people thought that I had lost it.
After all, China was considered to be a “close friend” and a highly valued trading partner.
But now we have reached a stage where what is coming is obvious to everyone.
Of course the Biden administration is certainly not helping matters by constantly provoking the Chinese. For example, the Biden administration just greatly angered Chinese leaders by approving a 619 million dollar arms sale to Taiwan…
President Joe Biden’s administration has approved an estimated $619 million potential arms sale to Taiwan, including hundreds of missiles for F-16 fighter jets, after China sent 25 warplanes and three warships toward the island.
BIden’s move will likely further inflame tensions between Washington and Beijing, which have gotten worse in the wake of the spy balloon China sent over the U.S. and reports Xi Jinping is considering lethal aid to Russia for its war in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Chinese have just announced that they will be dramatically ramping up their own military spending…
The Chinese government will boost its military spending by 7.2% this year, rising to a total budget of 1.56 trillion Yuan.
In U.S. dollars, China’s budget now sits at $230 billion, up nearly $16 billion from its budget in 2022. China’s Ministry of Finance announced the new infusion of cash in its annual report on Sunday. The spending increase comes as the U.S. warns of a potential Chinese invasion of Taiwan in the near future. U.S. officials have also warned China against sending lethal aid to support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
A war between our two nations would be absolutely cataclysmic.

Yes, Michael Snyder is correct that, “The sound of war drums is getting louder all over the globe.” But no, he is wrong about “the three major conflicts which will define World War III.”
The military conflict between Russia and Ukraine is getting the Europeans to arm (watch Is the European Beast Growing Horns?), but the USA and Russia are not about to get into a massive World War III directly with each other (see also Russia and Ukraine: Their Origins and Prophesied Future).
The situation between Iran and Israel looks to lead to the fulfillment of prophecies in Isaiah 22 (watch also Iran and Israel Conflict), and could lead to the peace deal of Daniel 9:27 and the countdown to WWIII (see The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27)–but it is not WWIII.
What about the various conflicts between the USA and China?
Well, they have been tending to drain USA resources away from Europe. This is making the USA weaker in Europe and has helped motivate the Europeans to strive to become more militarily independent from the USA.
That is actually consistent with something that the old Plain Truth magazine published back in 1984:
Drifting Away from Europe
It is a fact of immense importance, though recognized only faintly by most Americans, that culturally, economically — and soon strategically as well — the United States is drifting out of the Atlantic orbit.
For years now there has been a perceptible shift in the United States away from its historic attachment to Europe into a much closer relationship with the nations of the Pacific basin.
“The overwhelming European influence on our culture is on the wane and giving way to the Orient,” Frederick Allen, Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. vice-president, commented in an interview published early in 1983.
Franc Viviano, an editor of Pacific News Service in San’ Francisco, added that “once the word ‘immigration’ was synonymous with the arrival of Europeans, and later with Latin Americans. Today two of every five newcomers to the United States are Asian.
“Consider the fact,” added Mr. Viviano, in echoing Premier Zhao’s remarks, “that in 1982-83, for the first time in history, overall U.S. trade with Pacific nations exceeded that with Atlantic nations, registering a record $121,200,000,000.”
This shift toward the Pacific, in turn, plays a significant role in the rift now developing between the United States and its Western alliance allies in Europe.
“Our future lies in Asia” is the recurring theme in some influential economic and political circles in the United States. This viewpoint is usually coupled with the call for the United States to eventually cut defense ties to Europe, to pull United States troops out of the Continent. … then let the Europeans either defend themselves or make their own security arrangements with the Soviet Union.
The end result will be a Europe cut off from America — but a Europe eventually becoming a “third force” superpower of its own rank. (Hogberg G. The “NEW CHINA” Reaches Out. Plain Truth, April 1984)
The USA has been pivoting towards Asia for some time. Yet, Taiwan will one day unite with China, irrespective of what the USA may or may not do. And yes, Europe still is intent on being a “third force,” a superpower in its own right.
That said, there are many errors in Protestant teachings on prophecy. In general, most Protestants cannot properly identify the USA in prophecy, hence have made all types of speculations that will not be born out, as scripture does not support many Protestant prophetic views.
The Bible points to cooperation between Europe, Russia, and China for a time (cf. Revelation 13 & 17).
But that cooperation will not last.
Sometime after the USA and its British-descended allies are conquered (which will happen in Daniel 11:39), during the first two woes of Revelation, there will be a split between Europe and an alliance led by Russia that will include China (watch also the sermon Woes, WWIV, and the Good News of the Kingdom of God) according to scripture.
