WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump announced he will send federal agents to Chicago and Albuquerque, New Mexico, to help combat rising crime, expanding the administration’s intervention into local enforcement as he runs for re-election under a “law and order” mantle.
Using the same alarmist language he has employed to describe illegal immigration, Trump painted Democrat-led cities as out of control and lashed out at the “radical left,” which he blamed for rising violence in some cities, even though criminal justice experts say it defies easy explanation. …
Crime began surging in some cities like Chicago, New York and Philadelphia when stay-at-home orders lifted. …
DHS officers have already been dispatched to Portland, Oregon, and other localities to protect federal property and monuments as Trump has lambasted efforts by protesters to knock down Confederate statutes.

Portland Mayor Tear-Gassed at Protest
July 23, 2020
U.S. federal agents fired tear gas at protesters gathered outside the federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon, late Wednesday.
Mayor Ted Wheeler was among those standing by a fence in front of the courthouse when the agents fired the tear gas.
Protesters have demonstrated in Portland for 56 consecutive days, rallying against police violence, racial inequality and the recent deployment of the federal forces in the city.
The mayor arrived at the protest area earlier in the day and pledged his solidarity with the crowd, but his presence was largely rejected as many yelled at him.
Critics have faulted Wheeler for not controlling the city’s police force, which threatened its own use of force with tear gas and arrests Wednesday night as Portland police declared the gathering a riot. This election is a mess. The Democrats are in an all-out war to get rid of Trump to usher in this global Socialist agenda because everything is collapsing. They have promised states that if they maintain lockdowns to overthrow Trump, they will bail them out since they will lose nearly one year’s worth of tax revenue. Allowing voting without photo ID when you cannot get on a plane without one is the ultimate corruption, right in your face.
NEITHER side will accept the election result. There is a very STRONG possibility this entire mess ends up in the Supreme Court. These tweaks to the election rules instigated by the Democrats are all designed to further civil unrest, for they know Joe Biden is incompetent and this is all about bailing out socialism and to restrict capitalism exempting only the super-rich who bribe them for special status. Jesus taught:
25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)
We are seeing more divide in the USA and parts of it certainly appear to be intentional. Much of it is ideological. The USA is becoming less and less united and more polarized. This will not end well (cf. Daniel 11:39).
People are supposed to love one another.
After seeing and hearing various reports about disturbances and reactions in the USA, the following came to mind:
13 “Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit; The poison of asps is under their lips; 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways; 17 And the way of peace they have not known. 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:13-18)
The late Dr. Herman Hoeh of the old Worldwide Church of God wrote the following in 1985:
Jesus highlighted — only a few days before He was crucified — the sequence of events ending this age and introducing the world tomorrow.
“Take heed that no man deceive you,” He warned in Matthew 24:4-6. “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars,” He continued. “See that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet” (Authorized Version).
Not yet? Of course! …
“But the end is not yet,” said Jesus. “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” That is, religious, political and economic conflicts will continue for humans are not solving their problems, which are spiritual in origin.
But Jesus did not stop here.
“And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (verses 7-8).
What has been the consequence of false religious, social and political ideas? Civil wars and revolution, nation fighting nation! (Hoeh H. Where Are We Now in Bible Prophecy? Good News, August 1985)
Correct, the end was not yet in 1985, but we are closer to it now. And yes, the problems are spiritual in origin.
The solution is to turn to God, live His ways, and look forward to the coming Kingdom of God.
As far as where we are in the prophetic sequence and what to expect, we recently put out the following sermon:
1:15Revelation 6:1-8 shows the opening of four seals and discusses the rides of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Each of which appears to be associated with aspects of the “beginning of sorrows” that Jesus mentions in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. What do each of the horsemen represent? What about riots, looting wars, and rumors of war? Are food inflation, food shortages, and famines associated with the opening of the third seal and rider of the black horse of famine? Could human actions such as evolution teachings, genetically-modified crops, and viral research be factors in the rides of the four horsemen? Is more than death related to pestilences associated with the rider of the pale horse, the fourth seal? Why might this be a factor in 666? Will most people fail to recognize the rides of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse until it is too late to take action? What about the fifth seal and the start of the Great Tribulation? Are there problems with Roman and Eastern Orthodox prophecies concerning the end and the Great Monarch? What about prophecies related to Noah, the King of the North, Armageddon, and Antichrist?
