Barack Obama meets Pope Francis at Vatican: mutual interest in a new world economic order
USA President Barack Obama went to Vatican City and met with Pope Francis today:

U.S. President Barack Obama held his first-ever meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican, and invited him to visit the White House.
The president, who referred to himself as a “great admirer” of the pontiff, made the spontaneous invitation as he was giving Francis a symbolic gift of seeds from the White House garden after 50 minutes of private talks in the pope’s library.
“If you have a chance, you can come to the White House and you can see the garden,” Obama said to the pope as he was explaining the gift in the presence of reporters.
The Pope, responded in Spanish, “Como no?” (For sure)…
In an interview with Thursday’s Italian daily Corriere della Sera, Obama said Francis’s “great moral authority” had added weight to calls to redress the increasing imbalance between the winners and losers of globalization and economic change.
“In the United States over the last few decades, we’ve seen a growing gap between the income of those at the very top and the income of the typical family,” he said.
“But this isn’t just a problem for the United States, it’s a problem for countries around the world. And it isn’t just an economic issue, it’s a moral issue.” http://www.voanews.com/content/obama-in-rome-for-talks-with-pope-italian-leaders/1880257.html

The central shared concern, and one Obama will likely emphasize in his appearance before the media later Thursday, is the harmful effects of economic inequality.
“The Holy Father has been an inspiration to people around the world, including me, with his commitment to social justice and his message of love and compassion, especially for the poor and the vulnerable among us,” Obama said an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera…
Obama, who while not Catholic has religious roots in the social gospel embraced by this first non-European pope, is pushing at home for a higher minimum wage, education spending to increase economic opportunity, and changes in the tax code that would draw more money from the wealthy. http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/obama-pope-francis-challenges-us-on-economic-and-social-issues/2014/03/27/b466b672-b594-11e3-b899-20667de76985_story.html
Both Pope Francis and Barack Obama want to change the financial world order into something more akin to a socialist/communist model (e.g. Pope Francis speaks against current economic order and proposes changes) while both also wish to push an ecumenical agenda (see also Barack Obama makes an ecumenical appeal). Since the two leaders seemingly have a worldly agenda, perhaps they will agree at their planned meeting to work toward steps to further support each other to try to make that agenda take place.
As far as the economic agenda goes, yesterday Pope Francis permanently removed German Monsignor Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst (known as the ‘bishop of bling’ because of his apparently extravagant spending, see Pope Replaces German ‘Bling Bishop’ After Inquiry). While this permanent removal had been expected, this was only one small step related to Francis’ agenda. The more Pope Francis proposes wealth distribution, the closer the time may come when the Vatican takes concrete action, such as actually giving away (or pledging) its vast wealth to support the poor and/or the rising power in Europe.
It may be interesting to note that Pope Francis, within days of becoming pontiff, declared, “Oh, how I would like a poor Church, and for the poor” (see Pope Francis: Do his comments about the poor show that he intend to fulfill biblical and Catholic prophecies about the final Antichrist?). Is it possible that he is suggesting that since his church hold enormous wealth in bank accounts, land, art, and jewels, that perhaps he intends to distribute some of this wealth (see Pope Francis claims he wants his church to be poor and help the poor)?
If he does not end up doing this, he, at minimum, has made various statements that the final Antichrist (which may not be him as that is not certain yet), will point to as justification for wealth distribution.
But might not the Antichrist use some of the wealth of the Vatican to support certain European nations/leaders? I expect this, as it seems to be likely and is consistent with the following scriptures:
1…”Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”…9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits…18:3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.” (Revelation 17:1-2,9; 18:3)
Now I do not believe the Vatican will limit its economic support to Europe. The Church of Rome has a lot of worldly wealth–it is a version of that church that is being discussed above in Revelation. For my Catholic readers, I want to make it clear that consistent with biblical AND Roman Catholic prophecies, I believe that the final pontiff will be a type of antipope who will betray the Church of Rome (Revelation 17) and be the final antichrist (cf. 1 John 4:1-3; Revelation 13:11-15).
As far as Barack Obama himself goes, I warned back in 2009 (in my book 2012 And the Rise of the Secret Sect) that he would take steps to support the objectives of the final Antichrist. In my view, his meeting with Pope Francis is consistent with that. Barack Obama’s and Pope Francis’ economic positions seem consistent with those that appear to come from a lamb, but instead are the words of a dragon (cf. Revelation 13:11, 16-17).
The Bible tells of two ‘new world orders.’ One, that it condemns as part of the end time Babylonian system (Revelation 13:16-18; 17; 18) and the true one that occurs after the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of the millennial reign on earth (something that Pope Francis’ church has declared is a doctrine of antichrist and something that I have not heard Barack Obama speak in favor of).
While the world seems to be at least a little bit impressed by their cooperation, what Pope Francis and Barack Obama are seemingly trying to do is repeatedly warned against in the Bible (Revelation 13:1-18, 14:12, 18:4; Zechariah 2:6-7).

Could Pope Francis be the Last Pope and Antichrist? According to some interpretations of the prophecies of the popes by the Catholic saint and Bishop Malachy, Pope Francis I is in the position of “Peter the Roman,” the pontiff who reigns during tribulations until around the time of the destruction of Rome. The Malachy Prophecies and “Peter the Roman” An Irish bishop allegedly predicted something about 112 popes in the 12th century. Pope Benedict XVI was number 111. Francis would seem to be number 112–if he is that one–and if so, he is to reign until Rome is destroyed. May he be an antipope/final Antichrist?
