The UK and other EU governments are planning a crackdown on bitcoin amid growing concerns that the digital currency is being used for money laundering and tax evasion.
The Treasury plans to regulate bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to bring them in line with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financial legislation. Traders will be forced to disclose their identities, ending the anonymity that has made the currency attractive for drug dealing and other illegal activities.

Turkey
Turkey has claimed Bitcoin is in fact “not compatible” with Islam due to its government being unable to control it.
In a statement from a meeting of the state Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), lawmakers said that Bitcoin’s “speculative” nature meant that buying and selling it was inappropriate for Muslims.
“Buying and selling virtual currencies is not compatible with religion at this time because of the fact that their valuation is open to speculation. They can be easily used in illegal activities like money laundering, and they are not under the state’s audit and surveillance,” Euronewstranslates the statement republished by local news outlet Enson Haber.Diyanet added that the same principles of “unsuitability” in particular applied to Ethereum.
South Korea
Kim Dong-yeon, South Korea’s deputy prime minister and the minister of strategy and finance, revealed earlier this week that the government is investigating various methods to better regulate the local Bitcoin market and tax Bitcoin users accordingly.

For years, I have posted that there are some who have believed that Bitcoin will become fully regulated/taken over to the point that it will be associated with the ‘mark of the beast.’
Despite governmental concerns about Bitcoin, various governments, including Russia and Venezuela have suggested that they may come up with their own cryptocurrencies. Venezuela has announced it would like to issue an oil-backed cryptocurrency:
Venezuela has been having major economic issues. This proposal has at least two objectives: 1) to try to help Venezuela’s economy and 2) to get around currency restrictions that US President Donald Trump has threatened Venezuela with. The USA has been using threats about its dollar prominence against countries like Venezuela, Russia, North Korea, and China. It should be no surprise that they are looking to take actions.
Concerns about governments, including threats by the US government, have been a factor in the rise of the trading value of Bitcoin.

Governments can monitor all buying and selling if they have control over cryptocurrencies.
Before going further, perhaps I should add that Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg has been involved with Ripple for some time (watch Blockchain, Karl Guttenberg, and 666). He is the former German Economics, then Defense Minister–and he still has a lot of connections in Europe (see Might German Baron Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg become the King of the North?).
A far as Bitcoin goes, notice also a comment from over four years ago:
If I’m allowed to get Biblical…”Rich man or poor man, free or bond, will not be allowed to buy or sell unless he accepts the mark of the beast.”
Bitcoin is a very smooth end run to achieve that objective.
The “mark of the beast” scripture is from the Book of Revelation which makes the following statements concerning the financial controls of the coming Beast power:
16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-18)
The Bible is clear that the time is coming when the Beast power will have implemented some type of strong financial control. (Watch also Sweden going to ‘666’ cashlessness?)
That being said, I have doubts about Bitcoin, but something like it does make Revelation 13:16-18 possible. And that was NOT possible when Jesus inspired the Apostle John to write that down over 1900 years ago.

The time is also coming when the USA dollar will be worthless. Bitcoin will also be worthless at some point. And yes, the Bible tells that for a time gold will be worthless, but that does not happen to gold until years after the demise of the US dollar. But placing too much confidence in gold, currencies, or alternatives like Bitcoin will not truly save anyone (cf. 1 Peter 1:7). Yet, true repentance and turning to the Jesus of the Bible can.
Although the USA is not likely to repent to prevent this nationally, nor can Bitcoin prevent it, personally you can repent as well as physically take steps before the dollar-based economic system collapses.

America’s Day of Reckoning 2017 Dollar Collapse? Economist James Dale Davidson says that a financial bloodbath will hit the USA and there is nothing that Washington can do to stop it. He claims that at least 57 nations have gotten together to dethrone the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency. He claims this can happen any day or in a few months.
