A Scottish court ruled against UK Prime Minister’s temporal closing of Parliament:

The move by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to prorogue the UK Parliament was declared “unlawful” on Wednesday by Scotland’s highest court of appeal.

The decision “had the purpose of stymying parliament,” a summary of the judgment said.

A UK government spokesman described the court decision as “disappointing” and said that they will appeal to the Supreme Court. …

Parliament was suspended on Monday until October 14 in a move that many see as an attempt to prevent lawmakers from acting against Johnson’s plans to leave the European Union without a Brexit agreement. …

tensions are rising as parties face the possibility of a general election. Tom Watson, deputy leader of the Labour party, said on Wednesday that the result of the 2016 Brexit referendum was no longer valid and called on his party to “unambiguously back remain.”

Meanwhile, Brexit party leader Nigel Farage again on Wednesday called for Johnson to seek a “clean break” Brexit. He has offered to support Johnson’s Conservative party in any upcoming election. “If we stand against them, they cannot win a majority,” he said. …

A Kantar poll published on Wednesday morning showed that the Conservatives retained a large lead over other parties, but still saw their support down by four percentage points. They led with 38%, with Labour on 24%, the Liberal Democrats on 20% and Farage’s Brexit party on 7%.

Just over half of responders also support a final Brexit deal, should there be one, being put to another referendum.

With the conservative party in chaos due to its botched handling of Brexit, many – including Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage – suspect that, if an election is held in the not-too-distant future, Boris Johnson and his fellow Tories won’t come out on top. Farage has long maintained that if the UK remains a member of the EU after Oct. 31, something that looks increasingly likely, then many of those who voted ‘Leave’ during the Brexit referendum will defect from the conservatives to the Brexit Party.

And with Prime Minister Boris Johnson having already lost his majority thanks to expulsions and defections, Farage has offered his one-time ally an election pact, according to Reuters, in order to give him a chance to win a majority. Otherwise, he suspects Johnson’s conservatives will “take a real kicking” in the upcoming vote.

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage offered Prime Minister Boris Johnson an election pact on Wednesday but warned that unless there was a clean-break Brexit, the Conservatives would take a “real kicking” in any election and could not win a majority.

Johnson, who has lost his working majority in the House of Commons, wants to hold an election but parliament has ordered him to ask the EU to delay Brexit until 2020 unless he can strike a transition deal at an EU summit on Oct. 17-18.

Even though Johnson’s pleas for another general election have been rebuffed so far, Farage said it’s clear that there will be an election soon. But when that vote is held, Labour and the Conservatives will find that traditional party loyalties have shifted thanks to the Brexit impasse.

“If we go beyond the 31st of October and we are still a member of the European Union – which looks increasingly likely – then a lot of votes will shift from the Conservative Party to the Brexit Party,” Farage told reporters.

“The Conservatives will take a real kicking from Nov. 1 onwards,” he said. “I very much hope that Boris Johnson will simply look at the numbers. If we stand against them, they cannot win a majority.”

BRUSSELS (AP) — European Council President Donald Tusk took a swipe Wednesday at some Brexit-backers in Britain, wondering aloud what “special place in hell” might be reserved for those who had no idea how to deliver the country’s exit from the European Union.

With just 50 days to go until Britain is due to leave the EU and concern mounting about a potentially chaotic Brexit, Tusk, who chairs meetings of EU leaders, also appeared to dash any British hopes that the bloc would reopen discussions over the Brexit deal that was overwhelmingly rejected by U.K. lawmakers last month.

“I have been wondering what a special place in hell looks like for those who promoted Brexit without even a sketch of plan how to carry it out safely,” Tusk told reporters after talks with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar.

Tusk’s comments drew predictable outrage from British Brexiteers. House of Commons Leader Andrea Leadsom, a pro-Brexit Conservative, said Tusk’s remark was “pretty unacceptable and pretty disgraceful. … it totally demeans him.”

And former U.K. Independence Party leader Nigel Farage tweeted: “After Brexit we will be free of unelected, arrogant bullies like you and run our own country. Sounds more like heaven to me.” …

“The EU 27 is not making any new offer,” Tusk said, adding that the legally binding withdrawal agreement, which May negotiated and backed vociferously, cannot be renegotiated.

Tusk and Varadkar said EU nations were intensifying preparations for a ‘no-deal’ British exit — a possibly disastrous development that could inflict heavy economic and political damage in the U.K. and the EU alike.

Anyway, after making his comments, the BBC reports that Donald Tusk sent out the following tweet via Twitter:

While there is no divine “special place” of punishment nor reward for Brexiters, Donald Tusks comments reveal the intense hatred for Brexit and the UK by many in the EU leadership.

There will be major ramifications of Brexit.

Donald Tusk is probably unaware of the ‘special’ punishment that the Europeans will one day give the UK. It should probably be pointed out that as a US presidential candidate, Donald Trump was one of few non-UK leaders who publicly supported Brexit and as US President he also has advised the UK to be tough with the EU (see AP: Johnson wins Trump’s approval for tough approach to Brexit). Donald Tusk and others in Europe realize this.

While the Europeans are UK and USA allies, the Bible shows that they will be taken over by “friends”:

1 How lonely sits the city That was full of people! How like a widow is she, Who was great among the nations! The princess among the provinces Has become a slave! 2 She weeps bitterly in the night, Her tears are on her cheeks; Among all her lovers She has none to comfort her. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; They have become her enemies. (Lamentations 1:1-2)

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)

That will be the end of the UK and the USA.

For those that think this could not happen to the USA, understand that Daniel 11:39 shows that a European power will destroy the ‘strongest fortresses’–which in the 21st century belong to the USA (and to a lessor degree its British-descended allies), this shows that the USA will be defeated, despite its military strength (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

As far as Europe goes, Europeans are getting increasingly frustrated with the UK over Brexit:

PM Boris Johnson is focused on finding a Brexit deal that works and rejects the Irish backstop, DUP leader Arlene Foster has said.

She said she believed the prime minister was true to his word in ruling out a Northern Ireland-only backstop.

There are suggestions that the government is contemplating such a proposal in order to ensure the UK leaves the EU with a deal by 31 October, but Mrs Foster said that was not true.
