I frequently rail about hypocrisy and, in particular, the hypocrisy of politicians. In that regard, I’m nonpartisan: I rail about hypocrisy on both sides of the aisle.
But the hypocrisy of January 6 is uniquely one-sided.
One way to check if you’re being honest with yourself — to see if you’re suffering from partisan bias — is to hypothetically reverse the affiliation of the parties involved in a dispute: If, for example, Biden were a Republican, what would the Democrats be saying? Would they be hyperventilating about out-of-control inflation and the newest wave of COVID? Maybe. So think: If the situations were reversed, and the Democrats would be criticizing a Republican Biden, then the Democrats should be criticizing the Democratic Biden. Contrary to CNN’s reports, the Fox News organization is broadcasting the hearings on Fox Business titled “The January 6 Committee Hearings.” CNN has labeled its coverage the “Assault on Democracy,” CBS is calling it “Capitol Assault Hearings,” and ABC is calling its coverage “Assault on the Capitol.” …

The decision to air hearings during primetime television hours (8 p.m. EDT) is exceptionally rare.
“This is intended to be a committee-like television presentation,” said James Freeman, Wall Street Journal opinion editor. “It’s meant to have the look and feel of an investigative committee but without the normal process that we respect in this country, where both sides have their elected representatives making their point.”

After initially supporting an investigative committee immediately after the Capitol riot, Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Ca., switched gears and withdrew his five Republican nominations for the committee when Pelosi rejected his first two nominees and made clear that examining lapses in Capitol Hill security would not be a part of the committee’s work.
“This is the most political, least legitimate committee in American history,” McCarthy said in comments to the media on Thursday. “It has used congressional subpoenas to attack Republicans, violate due process, and infringe on the political speech rights of private citizens, it has actually been caught altering evidence.” …

Former President Donald Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba on Newsmax denounced the “soap opera” of the House Jan. 6 Select Committee hearing Thursday night.
“This isn’t a soap opera; this is our country,” Habba told Thursday’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight.” “I’m so sad, Rob, by what is happening to our country.”
“What happened tonight was selective prosecution,” she added, noting just one side was presented to American people without due process or cross examination. …
Habba said Trump has a defense to present that was not only blocked, but it has been manipulated, including Cheney falsely claiming Trump “did not condemn the attack.”

Before going further, let me state that I have written and even produced a video explaining why I believe that Joe Biden and Donald Trump promote evil (here is a link to the video: Biden, Trump, and the Bible)–hence as a non-partisan, this post is not intended to be pro-Republican or pro-Democrat.
That being said, the presentation last night was one-sided and certainly not a full disclosure of facts.

As of Dec. 16, 2020, Capitol Police had determined there was “no information regarding specific disruptions or acts of civil disobedience targeting this function.” …
But internal emails and documents show police were aware of groups planning to attend the Jan. 6 rally that were discussing on social media and fringe websites tactics such a blocking tunnels leading to the Capitol. …
Patel said Wednesday that the Capitol Police timeline verifies the account he gave to Congress, “that DOD support via the National Guard was refused by the House and Senate sergeant at arms, who report to Pelosi.”

The USA is deeply divided. It has politicized more and more and had less respect for facts and truth.
As Jesus taught:
37 … “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40)
27 “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29 To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. 30 Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.
32 “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. (Luke 6:27-36)
Instead of true love, a lot of hate and anger has been displayed and whipped up.
The Capital hearing brought the following to mind:
4 No one calls for justice;
no one pleads his case with integrity.
They rely on empty arguments and speak lies;
they conceive trouble and give birth to evil.
5 They hatch the eggs of vipers
and spin a spider’s web.
Whoever eats their eggs will die,
and when one is broken, an adder is hatched.
6 Their cobwebs are useless for clothing;
they cannot cover themselves with what they make.
Their deeds are evil deeds,
and acts of violence are in their hands. (Isaiah 59:4-6)
Whether you support or oppose Donald Trump or Nancy Pelosi, or neither, the so-called investigation has not been a call for justice.
Indicating that it is an investigation to expose the truth shows hypocrisy.
The Bible warns:
13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13)
That is happening much these days.
Related to hypocrisy, the Bible warns:
13 … and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish: (Job 8:13, KJV)
5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. 6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation (Isaiah 10:5–6, KJV).
5 … But the Assyrian shall be his king, Because they refused to repent. (Hosea 11:5)
Christians all need to recall that when Jesus came, He clearly condemned the hypocritical religious leaders of His day for their hypocrisy (e.g. Matthew 23:13-29), more directly than he condemned the physically more obvious sinners (Matthew 9:10–13).
This is not to say that non-Anglo-Saxon nations do not have sin or that they will not be punished. The European Assyrians will clearly also be punished, per Isaiah 10:12-19, but the Bible shows that punishment will begin first on those who should have known better. That is, the punishment will begin on those who have claimed to live rightly, but have repeatedly failed to do so. Those who receive biblical blessing should not be surprised when they receive biblical curses for disobedience (cf. Deuteronomy 28:1-68).

Biden State Department report on religious freedom upholds ban on Jewish prayer on Temple Mount

Last week, the Biden administration’s State Department released its 2021 Report on International Religious Freedom. …
The report then discussed the issue of Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount:
According to local media, some Jewish groups performed religious acts such as prayers and prostration on the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount despite the ban on non-Islamic prayer. The Israeli government reiterated that overt non-Islamic prayer was not allowed on the grounds of the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount. NGOs, media, and Jewish Temple Mount advocacy groups continued to report that in practice, police generally allowed discreet non-Muslim prayer on the site. The news website Al-Monitor reported in October that although the country’s two chief rabbis repeatedly said Jews were not to set foot in the Temple Mount out of concern they could inadvertently step into an area which, in Jewish law, it was forbidden to enter unless one was ritually pure. In recent years, some Jews had entered the mosque and tried to offer prayers. The [Israeli] government reiterated that non-Islamic prayer was not allowed on the grounds of the site, but non-Muslim visitors were allowed. Some religious minority groups said the police were not interested in investigating attacks on members of their communities… Some Jewish individuals and groups performed religious acts such as prayers and prostration on the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount despite the longstanding historical norms against overt non-Islamic prayer there.
The report also describes efforts by US officials to persuade the Israeli government to prevent Jews from praying at the site in an absurdly self-contradictory paragraph:
In meetings with Israeli government officials, the Ambassador, Charge d’Affaires, and other U.S. embassy officials stressed the importance of religious pluralism and respect for all religious groups… Senior U.S. officials spoke publicly about the importance of maintaining the historic status quo at the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount and conveyed this message in meetings with government officials. Throughout the year, embassy officials used social media platforms to express U.S. support for tolerance and the importance of openness to members of other religious groups.
“Status quo” regarding Jerusalem refers to a firman (decree) of Ottoman sultan Osman III in 1757 that preserved the division of ownership and responsibilities of various Christian holy places. The details were further formalized in the 1949 United Nations Conciliation Commission after the 1947–1949 Palestine war. It should be noted that when Jordan illegally occupied Jerusalem, Hebron, and Bethlehem in 1948, Jews were barred from the holy sites in contravention of the status quo.
It should be noted that there is no law prohibiting Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount, and Israeli law ensures freedom of religion. …

Yes, this is another example of hypocrisy by the US government.
This will not end well (cf. Isaiah 10:5-11).
The time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), also known as the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21), is coming and the USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies (including Canada) will be affected.
National repentance is the only way to prevent it, and that does not look likely. Personal repentance, however, is still possible. If you are an American, your personal future can still be much brighter than that of your country.
Though for the nation, the Kingdom of God is the solution, but the USA will first have to go through a horrific 3 1/2 years. The end of the USA/UK world order is coming and the final Time of the Gentiles is getting nearer.
