CGPFKG’s Ronald Weinland’s Newly Published Plan

VS.

COGwriter

The transcript of CGPFK/CGPKG’s Ronald Weinland’s sermon of May 12, 2012 has finally been published electronically online, and in it, is the following:

A lot of questions keep coming up because of where we are in time, and again, it’s an incredible thing
thinking about where we are…

But questions have come up about the 26th and the 25th…and the 27th is pretty well set.  But we think of different times. We know that what’s going to happen is going to happen at Jerusalem time; not Australia, not New Zealand, although the day starts there as far as the world is concerned. As far as God is concerned it starts in Jerusalem and when Jesus Christ begins His return it’ll be at the end of the Sabbath before Pentecost comes, right at the very end. Don’t know exactly how it’s going to transpire but we believe those things, we understand those things. And so questions come up about different ones, because in… I don’t know what the time between here and Jerusalem is – one hour. So what is it, 7:30ish before Pentecost begins in Jerusalem, it’ll be 6:30ish – somewhere around there – on the Sabbath. You’ll be almost to the end of your Sabbath. In the States, in the eastern time zone it’s around 12:36. So anyway, people are thinking about what do we do on that day? And I’ve made some comments about whether or not to get together and as I had mentioned in the United States, we’re not going to have services in our normal locations, we’re going to have people pretty much stay in their own home areas. If some want to get together in some areas I’m not going to say you can’t. You have to decide for yourselves because wherever you go, as one example here, someone was asking about getting together on the 26th and wanted to ask about it, they said that some live 40-50 miles away and they were planning on getting together even that night of the 25th, and that’s fine. But please understand, those who live 40-50 miles away you may not get back… that’s Los Angeles. Your car may not work. I don’t know what’s going to happen and where it’s going to happen. It’s not going to be a nice time. We thought this could have started at the very beginning of what’s referred to as the ‘great tribulation’, understanding that’s about the Church now, far more so, which we’ve always understood, but as far as the world was concerned we haven’t understood fully because it’s in God’s timing, how He does it. And what’s going to take place, especially with Russia and China and what they finally do, it says they destroy a third of the earth. That’s very clear language. They destroy a third of all the earth. And the United States is not going to escape that, Great Britain is not going to escape that, Europe is not going to escape that. So there are some cities in some places that aren’t going to be a great place to be in some respects. That’s just the way it is. I don’t know where they are – God hasn’t told me those things – I’m not a fortune teller. Sometimes people think I should know everything – No, I don’t. God has given me an outline of prophetic things as far as the Bible is concerned; we have that outline that we’ve had for so long. How it’s going to all transpire…? We understand some of that as far as tribulation and what that means for us now. It’s going to be right up to the end. I understand. I understand more deeply now than ever before it can be in the last hour of the day!

Of course, instead of teaching that the destruction of the USA and much of the world can happen in the last literal hour before Jesus is to return is nonsense.  So, his plan is that they stay in their homes.  I suspect that many of them will decide to talk to each other this Sabbath when the return does not happen, and perhaps next Sabbath to console themselves when Ron Weinland is again clearly proven wrong.

Now, as far as the initial “We” in Ron Weinland’s 5/12/12 statement that I bolded above, it is not “We,” but “He” who claimed such nonsense.   Ronald Weinland claimed that God revealed the “truth” to him that the Great Tribulation was to begin on December 14, 2008, and he has insisted since then he was right.

And getting back to his May 12, 2012 falsehood that everything could happen the last literal hour before Jesus returns, recall that in his sermon March 12, 2011, Ronald Weinland instead stated the following:

So, if I’m not a prophet I’ll reason with you accordingly and be open with you about it…

So often for those who do not believe that I’m a prophet, the question is asked, “What will you do if these things do not come to pass?” And I’m going to answer that more fully in this particular sermon today…

So again, some cannot wait for me to say that I am not a prophet, or to say that I am a false prophet. Indeed, no one has long to wait do they? Isn’t that amazing? May 27, 2012 is not too far away and if Europe hasn’t risen by early 2012 and if China does not begin destroying the earth before that date, then the reality would be manifest much sooner, obviously. You don’t have to wait until 2012.

As far as the question they ask; what would I do? Well, first I’d repent before God and the Church. I’d acknowledge my sin and pray that God have mercy upon me for being so horribly  presumptuous.  Candidly (and some are going to really hate hearing this), I’d deeply repent of all those things that concern prophecies that I have given in the office of a prophet BUT I’d seek to hold fast to all that I believe with all my being to be true concerning the word of God. I would begin to go back through all 57 Truths (and I’d hope others would do exactly the same thing), IF… just to be open about it. I’d go back through all 57 Truths and eliminate those that are shown to be untrue, repenting as I did so; but I would hold fast to all that I believed to be true. (Weinland R. A Final Plea, With Judgment – Pt. 1. March 12, 2011)

China has not yet destroyed the USA as he claimed.  Ronald Weinland also claimed in 2008 that if the USA was not nuked by the summer of the same year that he would admit that he was a false prophet.  So when in March 2011, he claimed that he would be truthful this time if he is proven to be false–which he once again was (and of course, those that look to scripture above his words will recognize that he is already proven to be false)–he failed to keep his word.

Instead of publicly repenting after entering the year 2012 as his 3/12/11 predictions had not happened, he posted the following:

As a matter of other dates that God revealed to me, through Jesus Christ, it was given earlier that Trumpets of 2008 was the beginning of the 1335 day count in the Book of Daniel that leads up to the return of Jesus Christ on May 27, 2012. The day of Christ’s return is on Pentecost which pictures the 144,000 who will return with him to reign on earth, and the beginning of this announcement to the Church was on Trumpets (2008) which announces the coming of the Messiah as King of kings. How awesome is that to understand?   (Weinland R.  Seventy Weeks Prophecy.  Online letter, January 12, 2012)

Cannot his followers see his blatant errors and refusal to again publicly repent?

Of course, the facts have not stopped those who still follow him (they have stopped some from following him in the past and hopefully when Jesus does not return on May 27, 2012, most of his current followers will wake up to the truth).

For those unfamiliar with him, Ronald Weinland was a minister in the old old Worldwide Church of God, then he was in the United Church of God for a while. Since then, he has been on his own. He claims that he is one of the two witnesses and that his wife is the other one. After first insisting that the Great Tribulation began on April 17, 2008, he later insisted that the Great Tribulation began on December 14, 2008 and that Jesus will return on May 27, 2012 (these are his last published dates). The Great Tribulation has most definitely not yet started (we seem to be in the time period that Jesus referred to as “the beginning of sorrows” Matthew 24:8), and Jesus most definitely will not be returning on May 27, 2012. So, when he is wrong then (if not before), Ronald Weinland will either repent, spiritualize away the non-return of Jesus, try to stay out of the USA (he is under investigation for income tax issues by the US government and he travels outside of the USA frequently), and/or claim to have received a new “revelation” or “truth” that gives humanity more time or something to that effect.

His income tax issue made the news last night:

COVINGTON — Internet-based minister Ronald Weinland prophesized the beginning of the end of the world will be Sunday. His attorney doesn’t want that theory to come into play in the minister’s tax evasion case.

Lawyer Robert Webb was in federal court on Monday making final preparations for his client’s trial on tax evasion charges that is set to begin June 4 in Covington. Prosecutors claim Ronald Weinland, 62, of Union, diverted money from his ministry, Church of God – Preparing for the Kingdom of God.

Webb is trying to prevent federal prosecutors from using Weinland’s religious beliefs or opinions to attack his credibility during trial…

The indictment claims he evaded $357,065 in taxes from 2004 through 2008. Some money was transferred to a Swiss bank, according to court records.

There is also disagreement on whether recordings of Weinland’s sermons can be played for the jury. McBride wants to limit use of the recordings.

So, Ron Weinland’s attorney seems to believe that Weinland’s prophetic views will cause him credibility problems and does not want that to be introduced as evidence–so this is another part of Weinland’s plan.

Irrespective of what happens in court, Ronald Weinland has claimed about himself in the past:

God will reveal who His two witnesses are regardless of whether people choose to believe them or not! God will increasingly give more proof of His spokesman as prophecies unfold exactly as they are recorded in this book

The question about how God has revealed His truth to me is a fair one. The answer that I am who I say I am will be given by the events described in both books coming true exactly as I have described. (Weinland R. 2008: God’s Final Witness, pp. 89-90,111)

The events described in his books have not came true as he described them, so instead he tries to “spiritualize away” more and more of the details. We simply have not been in the Great Tribulation for the past 3 1/2 years, yet Ronald Weinland’s followers seem willing to believe the opposite. Have they not read Matthew 24? Surely most have, but apparently have accepted Ron Weinland’s explanation that the actual details Jesus mentioned do not mean what they say.

The last post at his “personal” website from Ron Weinland starts out with:

As readers of this site know, May 27, 2012, is the time that I have stated as being the date Jesus Christ will return as King of kings over all government on this earth. For such an event to come to pass, the Trumpets of Revelation must all sound, the United States and dollar collapse, the ten nations of Europe arise to fulfill the final revival of the Holy Roman Empire, and Russia with China must unite against Europe in WWIII.

And, that of course, will not happen this week, so he will need to come up with a new plan, presuming his word is no good and he does not repent and stop preaching.

I have denounced Ronald Weinland as a false prophet for over six years. And for every detail I have denounced, I have been right and he wrong. Cannot his followers see that he is not one of God’s two witnesses?

Since he is clearly wrong, why report about him still? Well, because of the fact that he is still claiming that Jesus will return in this month, some people are at least looking into him again (though not nearly as many who followed Harold Camping’s false prediction for Jesus’ return on May 21, 2011). Hopefully, I can reach some now so that they will not be overly distraught when Jesus does not return on May 27, 2012.

The following scripture should suffice, to dissuade his followers, but it has not yet for those still with him:

21 “And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’– 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him (Deuteronomy 18:21-22).

His supporters really need to believe the Bible more than Ronald Weinland.

Perhaps his existing supporters will learn what they should either now or by the end of May not continue to allow Ronald Weinland and/or others like him to string them along.  Sadly, many still will likely let Ronald Weinland string them along further, presuming he is still around and claims more time or some other false “new truth.”

Concerns About Ronald Weinland’s Church of God-Preparing for the Kingdom of God Ronald Weinland falsely claims to be one of the two witnesses God is raising up, that the Great Tribulation began on December 14, 2008, and that Jesus will return on May 27, 2012. Why does the Bible show that Ron Weinland is a false prophet? Why do Ronald Weinland’s own statements prove that he is a false prophet? Additionally, he has other views which show he is not truly part of the Church of God.?
