In a rare statement posted online Monday by the Laotian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government called on unspecified states or actors from all use, transfer or production of such munitions “so that no one in the world would be victimized” by such weapons.
“As the world’s largest victim of cluster munitions and a state party to the Convention on Cluster Munitions, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic expresses its profound concern over the announcement and the possible use of cluster munitions,” according to the statement.
The Biden administration has said it will send cluster bombs to Ukraine as part of a new push to support the country’s counteroffensive and boost its dwindling stocks of ammunition, overruling concerns that the weapons often fail to explode and pose a grave danger to civilians.

The US could not care less about causing even more death and destruction far away from its borders, Russia’s ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, said after National Security Council spokesman John Kirby acknowledged that some civilians “will likely be hurt” by US-supplied cluster bombs.
“We have taken note of the Director for Strategic Communications of the NSC John Kirby’s statements about the provision of cluster munitions to Ukraine. The official de facto confessed to the United States committing war crimes during the Ukrainian conflict,” Antonov said in a statement on Sunday.
Earlier on Sunday, Kirby stated in an interview with ABC that he believes “we can all agree that more civilians have been and will continue to be killed by Russian forces… than will likely be hurt by the use of these cluster munitions.”

Britain “discourages” the use of cluster munitions, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said after the United States agreed to send the bombs to Ukraine.
Answering reporters’ questions during a by-election campaign stop to Selby on Saturday, Mr. Sunak pointed to the UK’s commitment to the Convention on Cluster Munitions.
“The UK is signatory to a convention which prohibits the production or use of cluster munitions and discourages their use,” he told broadcasters. …
The United States said on July 7 that it will send “cluster munitions” to Ukraine in its ongoing fight to drive Russian forces out of the country.
But the use of cluster bombs is making some NATO allies uncomfortable.
After they are fired, cluster munitions open in midair and release small bombs (bomblets) over a wide area to strike several targets simultaneously.
Human Rights Watch, and other humanitarian organizations, oppose the devices because some of the bomblets don’t explode when they are deployed. Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. strongly criticized the Biden administration on Friday, after the administration announced that the Pentagon would be transferring cluster munitions to Ukraine, reversing a previous decision to withhold them.
The administration said it would primarily be sending M864 155-millimeter artillery shells. Also known as Dual-Purpose Conventional Munitions (DPICM), the shells dispense smaller explosive weapons over a specific area in order to attack vehicles and personnel.
“Cluster bombs are munitions so horrific for civilians that more than a hundred nations have signed an international treaty banning them. Now the Biden administration is preparing to send them to Ukraine,” Kennedy, who is challenging Biden for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination, wrote on Twitter.
“These munitions scatter bomblets across the landscape. Many fail to explode — until children pick them up later. They have caused thousands of injuries and deaths to civilians,” Kennedy added.
In addition, Kennedy sent follow-up tweets over the weekend on the issue.
“Last year, WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki called the use of cluster bombs a ‘war crime.’ Now President Biden plans to send them to Ukraine. Stop the ceaseless escalation! It is time for peace. #Kennedy24,” Kennedy wrote Saturday. “Biden was opposed to cluster bombs In 1982 as well, when he opposed their sale to Israel. What happened to his conscience?”
Kennedy tweeted Sunday, “In February 2021, President Biden promised us ‘diplomacy is back.’ But now the WH rejects talks to end the war in Ukraine + sends cluster bombs instead. That was not posted here to justify any military action by either side in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The Bible, KJV translation, predicts the end of “an hypocritical nation” (Isaiah 10:5-11).
The Bible also warns:

The point of this post is to point out another area of USA hypocrisy.
There are many ways that the USA has shown itself to be hypocritical.
And the Bible teaches destruction will come to “an hypocritical nation” (Isaiah 10:6, KJV)–by a German-led force–one that will remember USA hypocrisy on various matters.
The USA and its Anglo-Saxon-Celtic allies will not last to the end of this century.
