US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to visit Taiwan as part of her tour of Asia, according to a senior Taiwanese government official and a US official, despite warnings from Biden administration officials, who are worried about China’s response to such a high-profile visit.

The stop — the first for a US House speaker in 25 years — is not currently on Pelosi’s public itinerary and comes at a time when US-China relations are already at a low point. The Taiwanese official added that she is expected to stay in Taiwan overnight. It is unclear when exactly Pelosi will land in Taipei. Amid Chinese PLA drills ongoing in regional waters, and with the USS Ronald Reagan carrier strike group also in the South China Sea, Nikkei writes that “The U.S. military is moving assets, including aircraft carriers and large planes, closer to Taiwan ahead of an anticipated but unconfirmed visit to the island by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.”

To answer the headline question, the biblical probability that WWIII is about to start with a nuclear war between the USA and China is zero.

And no, most Americans do not want to have a nuclear WWIII for Taiwan. Nor does the Biden-Harris Administration.

Related to China and war, the late Pastor General of the old Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong stated:

Well, is World War III just about to descend on us, starting over in China? Listen, let me say first, that no war at this time – either with Red China or with Russia – is mentioned specifically in the prophecies. But then, neither was the war in Korea, and it happened. Yes, there could be skirmishes and even battles between the USA and China, but not a nuclear WWIII.

Regarding nuclear WWIII, Herbert Armstrong said/wrote the following:

Nuclear World War III

Nuclear war is definitely coming. Bible prophecies show that whole cities are going to be laid waste in our time. … And Bible prophecy says such a war is definitely coming but it also says that God Almighty in heaven is going to intervene and stop it! And there is good news on beyond.

Now, the United States and the Soviet Union are not the only nuclear powers. We hear so much about the nuclear weapons of the United States and Soviet and that’s where the big race is. But also, Britain and France, India and the People’s Republic of China, all have the hydrogen bomb. The indication is the armies of the “beast” of Revelation 17, entering Jerusalem (Dan 11:41, Zech. 14:2), will stop this “daily sacrifice”…And the abomination that maketh desolate set up.” What is this abomination? This refers to Daniel 11:31 and Matthew 24:15…That will be a time when the UNITED Europe shall appear–the revival of the medieval “Holy Roman Empire.” We shall then be warned, and readied to be taken to a place of refuge and safety from the Great Tribulation. Forty-five days later “the beasts armies” will surround Jerusalem. Thirty days later the Great Tribulation will probably start with a nuclear attack on London and Britain–and possibly the same day or immediately after, on the United States and Canadian cities. WWIII is coming, but it is not yet.

Jesus said:

5 Take heed that no one deceives you. 6 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and will deceive many. 7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:5-8)

We look to be in the time of wars and rumors of war. Christians, according to Jesus, should not let that trouble us as the end is not yet.

But it is getting closer.

What could be called WWIII is in the Bible, but that will mainly be a European power against the USA and its British-descended allies per Daniel 11:39 (see also Daniel 8:24-25). However, I suspect that after it, Australia and New Zealand, who have placed their hopes in the USA, will be taken over. One or both are likely to be controlled by China (watch Australia and New Zealand: Origins and Prophecy). The European power will then go against a power in North Africa and the Middle East and conquer it per Daniel 11:40-43.

China will be involved in what could be called WWIV (see World War III: Steps in Progress).

That being said,the USA is focused on China being its biggest military threat (e,g, see ‘Milley: China more aggressive, dangerous to US, allies’).

Because of that, as well as its lack of understanding of biblical prophecies, the USA will not be focused to defend itself from what will be coming from Europe (cf. Lamentations 1:1-2; Daniel 11:39).

Biblical prophecies will be fulfilled.

But the end is not yet.
