COVID-19 divides the USA even more. MS: America Has Become A Powder Keg That Is Ready To Explode At Any Time

There has long been increasing division in the USA. Now, with COVID-19 and related fears, there is more. NPR reported a couple of days ago that while 65% of self-identified Republicans wanted businesses to be able reopen, only 6% of self-identified Democrats did.

There are also divisions related to the use of masks, as the following shows:

Ken Hall, 38, walked toward his pickup truck in the parking lot of a shopping center along Highway 152 in Clay County. He wore no mask or concerns. Why? …“Because,” the tattooed business owner said of the coronavirus, “… It is what it is. You’re either going to get it, or you’re not. You’re either going to be afraid of it, or you’re not. I’m not afraid of it. We all live. We all die. When that happens is not your choice.” …

“Do I feel judged for it? Sometimes, yes,” he said, knowing people look at him sideways for not wearing a mask. “Do I care? Not at all.” …

Judy Morefield, 58, of Leawood, absolutely judges the no-mask crowd. She wore a mask and clasped her red shopping cart with blue gloves. She just recently moved in to help care for her 94-year-old father.

“You just put people at risk,” she said of those baring their faces in public. “Honestly, I think it’s selfish. Because it’s for other people.”

Beginning this week, even more businesses around the Kansas City area are setting to reopen, part of the dual goals of restarting a devastated economy — some 33 million people nationwide have filed for unemployment since the coronavirus outbreak — while also protecting public health.

Whether, or how fast, COVID-19 cases resurge will have much to do with how dutiful the public is about social distancing and other precautions. That includes wearing or not wearing face masks, acts that in recent weeks have become ever more politicized. …

It’s clear the issue splits across party lines, at least to some degree, with 76% of Democrats compared to 59% of Republicans saying they are more likely than not to wear a mask when leaving home, according to recent poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs.

But people, with and without masks, insist their decision has far less to do with their personal politics than it does with their sense of the COVID-19 threat and their own safety. https://www.kansascity.com/news/coronavirus/article242563536.html

Yes, the many things related to COVID-19, including from federal, state, and local government officials are politicized. The fact that instead of encouraging people to work to boost their innate immunity, the primary message from the media and government officials is essentially to live a life of fear. As well as telling people to put their faith in the pharmaceutical industry as it works to develop chemical treatments and vaccines.

Furthermore, the unprecedented lockdowns and restrictions are concerning to those who believe that the US Constitution was intended to protect their rights against such things, whereas others believe that steps they hope are protecting health is a more basic and fundamental right. This is increasing the divide in the USA, as well as elsewhere.

Have you noticed that people are a lot more emotional these days? People are angry about the lockdowns, people are angry because others are not “properly” observing the social distancing rules, people are angry about losing their jobs, people are angry about the shortages in the stores, and more than anything else people are angry at our politicians. … There is so much anger and frustration out there right now, and it is only going to get worse the closer that we get to election day.

Thankfully, so far we don’t have the sort of widespread civil unrest that we are already seeing in other nations, but the stage is certainly being set for it.  The American people don’t like being forced to put their lives on hold, they don’t like all of the new rules that have been forced upon them because of this pandemic, and they are deeply frustrated with our politicians for being unable to instantly fix things.

Of course there aren’t going to be any easy answers.  The U.S. economy has already lost 33 million jobs, and millions more will be lost in the weeks ahead.  Meanwhile, more than 76,000 Americans have already died from the coronavirus, and the overall death toll in this country is likely to be in the hundreds of thousands.

In an environment such as this, people are going to have shorter fuses than usual, and it isn’t going to take much to get people to lash out in frustration.  One of the most prominent examples of this that we have witnessed lately occurred in Austin, Texas…

Austin police have arrested a man who allegedly pushed a park ranger into a lake. …

It is quite foolish to push a law enforcement officer into a lake, but the social distancing restrictions are frustrating people so much that many of them are not thinking rationally.

And in this environment it certainly isn’t going to take much to push law enforcement officials over the edge either.  Americans were stunned when video footage emerged of New Jersey police officers relentlessly beating young men with their batons for violating the social distancing rules…

The clip filmed by a witness captured the man trying to raise his arms to protect his face as the law enforcement officer strikes him over and over again.

Sadly, I expect to see a lot more wild scenes in our streets like that in the months ahead.

Right now, virtually the entire country is in a really bad mood, and unfortunately some people will choose to resort to violence. …

Needless to say, one of the big reasons why Americans hate one another these days is because of politics. November is right around the corner, and we will likely see tremendous outbursts of anger and frustration both before and after the election.

Meanwhile, economic conditions will continue to deteriorate, and millions of Americans will become increasingly desperate. …

Overall, I have never seen so much anger and frustration in the United States in my entire lifetime, and it is truly a recipe for disaster.

Before going further, let it be pointed out that it is more than foolish to push a park ranger into a lake–it was wrong. It was also wrong to baton a man for violating social distancing rules (plus such rules are certainly not consistent with the US Declaration of Independence or its Constitution).

Here is information related to item 7 of the 20 items to prophetically watch in 2020 :

7. Strife and the Red Horse of War

Notice the following:

3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” 4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. (Revelation 6:3-4)

Somewhat paralleling the ride of the second horseman of Revelation 6:3-4, Jesus warned about wars and disturbances:

6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. (Matthew 24:6-7a) …

We expect to see more wars, rumors of war, and civil unrest.

We are getting very close to the start of the ride of the Red Horse of war taking peace from the earth. There will be many ramifications of the economic and other problems caused by governmental responses to COVID-19.

As far as the USA goes, consider that Jesus taught:

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

17 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)

Consider also the following from the prophet Amos:

9 ‘Assemble on the mountains of Samaria; See great tumults in her midst, And the oppressed within her. 10 For they do not know to do right, Says the Lord, “Who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.”’ (Amos 3:9-10)

The reference to Samaria is pointing to the USA (see also Spiritual Samaritans: Old and New). The above is consistent with both civil unrest and terrorism. Expect more to hit the USA. Many of the right and left feel oppressed, they do not know how to do right, and they have stored up violence, and in ‘protests’ can display violence and robbery.

Violence, itself, often begets violence. So, sadly, we seem to be seeing more and more terror.

The Bible warns:

25 … There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:25)

There is violence in the USA. We will see riots in the USA.

The Bible teaches:

9 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Enough, O princes of Israel! Remove violence and plundering, execute justice and righteousness (Ezekiel 45:9)

9…You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:9-10)

As far as violence goes, the Bible shows that God is against violence and that destruction will come because of it:

23 ‘Make a chain,
For the land is filled with crimes of blood,
And the city is full of violence.
24 Therefore I will bring the worst of the Gentiles,
And they will possess their houses;
I will cause the pomp of the strong to cease,
And their holy places shall be defiled. (Ezekiel 7:23-24)

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality…30…violent, proud, boasters,…31…unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:28-32)

8…And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:8)

Notice the violence is prophesied to get worse.

So much so that Gentiles will one day come and take possession of houses–this will happen to the USA during the Great Tribulation (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?).

The time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), also known as the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21), is coming and the USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies (including Canada) will be affected.

National repentance is the only way to prevent it, and that does not look likely. Personal repentance, however, is still possible. If you are an American, your personal future can still be much brighter than that of your country.

Though for the nation, the Kingdom of God is the solution, but the USA will first have to go through a horrific 3 1/2 years. The end of the USA/UK world order is coming and the final Time of the Gentiles is getting nearer.

The ride of the second of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse may be upon the world soon.

COVID 19 is NOT the End, but could it be TEOTWAWKI? The novel coronavirus called COVID-19 is wreaking havoc around the world.
