Does Donald Trump on Iran mean ‘America first, America alone’?

Not a popular position as far as the Europeans are concerned

The article itself stated:

Jutting chin. Clenched jaw. Narrowed eyes. Donald Trump played the strongman in his televised speech announcing the United States’ new strategy on Iran.

The protector of Americans against the big, bad world: that’s how the president sees himself. And also how many of his supporters view him, and precisely why they voted for him. It was these supporters, more than anyone else, that Trump’s speech was aimed at on Friday. It doesn’t matter what the others think. America First. America Alone. …

On top of that, the fact that Trump shoves responsibility for the solution to the problem off onto Congress only shows how irresponsible this man is. Typical Trump, making a pompous pronouncement to feel good about himself and satisfy his supporters. German leaders continue to blast US President Donald Trump as an egotist and strongman.

The front cover of today’s Economist names Chinese President as the world’s most powerful man, however. It’s article also reportedly states:

“The United States is still the world’s most powerful country, but its leader is weaker at home and less effective abroad than any of his recent predecessors, not least because he scorns the values and alliances that underpin American influence.”

“The president of the world’s largest authoritarian state, by contrast, walks with swagger abroad. His grip on China is tighter than any leader’s since Mao. And whereas Mao’s China was chaotic and miserably poor, Mr Xi’s is a dominant engine of global growth.”

Europe is concerned about all this. Plus, related to Iran, DW also ran the following:

EU rejects Donald Trump’s attempt to dump Iran nuclear deal, saying it works

European diplomats on both sides of the Atlantic, along with the Iran nuclear deal’s other signatories and many of the US president’s own advisers, have failed to convince Donald Trump not to pick apart the agreement.

In Brussels, European Union officials are clearly exasperated with the US leader’s insistence on mixing a myriad of complaints about Iranian behavior with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the six-party accord signed in 2015 which limits Tehran’s ability to enrich uranium to a weapons-grade level. …

German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel told Deutschlandfunk radio that Trump’s “difficult and dangerous signal” came at a time when the US was also dealing with the North Korean nuclear threat.

“My big concern is that what is happening in Iran or with Iran from the US perspective will not remain an Iranian issue but many others in the world will consider whether they themselves should acquire nuclear weapons too, given that such agreements are being destroyed,” Gabriel said.

“And then our children and grandchildren will grow up in a very dangerous world,” he said. …

Gabriel urged the Trump administration not to endanger the security of its allies and its own people. …

European officials insist they will continue to observe the agreement, reminding Iran it must do the same. …

Lack of accord between US and EU

European Council on Foreign Relations analyst Ellie Geranmayeh says this move “has really been seen in Europe as a terrible betrayal of European allies.” While Europeans are also very concerned about missile proliferation and regional meddling, they want to keep open the channel of diplomatic initiatives. http://www.dw.com/en/eu-rejects-donald-trumps-attempt-to-dump-iran-nuclear-deal-saying-it-works/a-40948190

Notice that this is being portrayed as a terrible betrayal of European allies.

Donald Trump makes a good ‘foil’ for many in Europe. While the USA will retain its Anglo-Saxon allies for a time, it will ultimately not be first and essentially will be alone in time (cf. Hosea 13:16, KJV; Spiritual Samaritans: Old and New).

As far as Iran goes, two years ago it stated that the deal would not stop its nuclear ambitions (see Iran rejects long-term limits on it nuclear ambitions). Whether Donald Trump’s comments will accelerate its ambitions is an open question.

Yet, irrespective of what Iran does, the Bible shows that change will come to Europe.

While China may or may not become more dictatorial as the Economist suggests, the Bible shows that a reorganization will come to Europe and power will be given to a dictator there:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)

Currently, the Europeans are essentially acting like they are the ones who want peace.

Interestingly, the Bible shows that the European beast leader, also called the King of the North, will arise promising peace:

21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. 22 With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant. 23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. (Daniel 11:21-23, NKJV)

25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. (Daniel 8:25, KJV).

More and more in Europe want to do something about the Donald Trump situation. The seeds for a strong European leader to arise promising peace are being sown.

Europe will one day support a dictatorial strongman. The Bible calls him the Beast of the Sea (Revelation 13:1-10; to prove this leader must be European, please watch the video: Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?) and the King of the North (Daniel 11:40).

Europe is concluding that the USA does not want to support its political and economic agenda.

Europe will one day conclude that it not only does not need America for its defense and that it wants the USA gone (Isaiah 10:4-12)–and one day it will make that happen (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

Donald Trump’s rhetoric is getting Europe to conclude it has no other choice but to pursue policies that differ from the USA.

This will not end well for the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses), nor ultimately Europe (cf. Daniel 11:44-45).
