Donald Trump gives optimistic ‘State of the Union’ speech, then Nancy Pelosi rips her copy into pieces

US President Donald Trump gave his required State of the Union speech:

In his third State of the Union address, President Donald Trump Tuesday night told a bitterly divided Congress and country that his administration, in three years, has “shattered the mentality of American decline” and rejected “the downsizing of Americans’ destiny.”
Trump’s nearly hour and a half speech – filled with election-year boasting about renewed U.S. economic might, victories in trade talks, rebuilding the military and slashing unemployment for blacks and other minorities – comes as the Republican-controlled Senate is on the verge of voting Wednesday to acquit the president of two House-passed impeachment charges of abuse of power and obstruction of a congressional investigation.
“We are moving forward at a pace that was unimaginable just a short time ago and we are never ever going back!” Trump declared.
This marked the first time an impeached president delivered the annual presidential address in a year he is running for re-election.
It was an extraordinary drama as Trump was greeted in the House chambers by ebullient Republicans chanting “Four More Years!” and Democrats reacting with tepid applause or looks of contempt. The evening began with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi offering her hand for Trump to shake, but the president turned away without taking it. The speaker is considered a key nemesis by the president for her role in leading the Democrats’ impeachment process.
The evening remarkably ended with Pelosi standing and tearing a copy of Trump’s lengthy speech in pieces and dropping them on her desk on the podium.
“I tore it up,” Pelosi acknowledged to reporters. “It was the courteous thing to do considering the alternative,” she said, adding that it was “such a dirty speech.” …
The speech, with the theme of “The Great American Comeback,” mainly promoted the president’s domestic agenda and listed accomplishments ranging from trade deals to creation of the Space Force as the newest branch of the U.S. military. https://www.voanews.com/usa/us-politics/impeached-trump-upbeat-state-union-speech
It was impolite of Donald Trump to not shake Nancy Pelosi’s hand when offered, and it was impolite for her to tear up her copy of the speech.
The Democrat-controlled US House of Representatives voted to impeach Donald Trump in December and today the Republican-controlled US Senate is expected to acquit him.
The USA is seriously divided.
Jesus warned:
25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)
17 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)
The divide in the USA is growing as many of its sins (including hypocrisy) become more blatant.
As far as Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech itself, he began it with the following:
Madam Speaker, Mr. Vice President, Members of Congress, the First Lady of the United States, and my fellow citizens:
Three years ago, we launched the great American comeback. Tonight, I stand before you to share the incredible results. Jobs are booming, incomes are soaring, poverty is plummeting, crime is falling, confidence is surging, and our country is thriving and highly respected again! America’s enemies are on the run, America’s fortunes are on the rise, and America’s future is blazing bright.
The years of economic decay are over. The days of our country being used, taken advantage of, and even scorned by other nations are long behind us. Gone too are the broken promises, jobless recoveries, tired platitudes, and constant excuses for the depletion of American wealth, power, and prestige.
In just 3 short years, we have shattered the mentality of American decline, and we have rejected the downsizing of America’s destiny. Contrary to Donald Trump’s public optimism, America’s enemies are NOT “on the run” and America’s future is NOT “blazing bright.”
Also, I caught part of the Democratic response to Donald Trump’s speech from Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Basically, she said to overlook anything that Donald Trump indicates is going well, but instead believe that the Democrats are the answer to make the USA a great place in the future.
No, the problems of the USA are not going to be solved by the Republicans or the Democrats.
The USA needs national repentance to prevent its coming military destruction (Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11), and that is not anything that the Republican or Democrat leaders are truly calling for.
Notice the following:
5…But the Assyrian shall be his king, Because they refused to repent. 6 And the sword shall slash in his cities, Devour his districts, And consume them, Because of their own counsels. 7 My people are bent on backsliding from Me. Though they call to the Most High, None at all exalt Him. (Hosea 11:5b-7)
The USA continues to refuse to repent (more on Assyria and the USA can be found in the article: Germany in Biblical and Catholic Prophecy).
Now notice something that Isaiah was inspired to record:
4 Alas, sinful nation,
A people laden with iniquity,
A brood of evildoers,
Children who are corrupters!
They have forsaken the Lord,
They have provoked to anger
The Holy One of Israel,
They have turned away backward.5 Why should you be stricken again?
You will revolt more and more.
The whole head is sick,
And the whole heart faints.
6 From the sole of the foot even to the head,
There is no soundness in it,
But wounds and bruises and putrefying sores;
They have not been closed or bound up,
Or soothed with ointment.7 Your country is desolate,
Your cities are burned with fire;
Strangers devour your land in your presence;
And it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. (Isaiah 1:4-7)
Truly, the USA is a sinful nation with a people laden with iniquity. This will not end well for the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).
Nancy Pelosi called Donald Trump’s speech “dirty.” Another word for dirty is filthy. Consider the following prophecy from Ezekiel:
1 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Now, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Yes, show her all her abominations! 3 Then say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “The city sheds blood in her own midst, that her time may come; and she makes idols within herself to defile herself. 4 You have become guilty by the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself with the idols which you have made. You have caused your days to draw near, and have come to the end of your years; therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations, and a mockery to all countries. 5 Those near and those far from you will mock you as infamous and full of tumult. (Ezekiel 22:1-5)
13 “Behold, therefore, I beat My fists at the dishonest profit which you have made, and at the bloodshed which has been in your midst. 14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands remain strong, in the days when I shall deal with you? I, the Lord, have spoken, and will do it. 15 I will scatter you among the nations, disperse you throughout the countries, and remove your filthiness completely from you. 16 You shall defile yourself in the sight of the nations; then you shall know that I am the Lord.”
17 The word of the Lord came to me, saying, 18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; they are all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace; they have become dross from silver. (Ezekiel 22:13-19)
The USA is continuing to increase its debt–and the USA’s uses of financial schemes such as quantitative easing and derivatives have resulted in ‘dishonest profits.’ The USA also promotes filthiness in the sexual and abortion realms with its foreign policies.
The time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), also known as the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21), is coming and the USA and its Anglo-Saxon-Celtic allies (including Canada) will be affected.
National repentance is the only way to prevent it, and that does not look likely. Personal repentance, however, is still possible. If you are an American, your personal future can still be much brighter than that of your country.
Though for the nation, the Kingdom of God is the solution, but the USA will first have to go through a horrific 3 1/2 years. The end of the USA/UK world order is coming and the final Time of the Gentiles is getting nearer.

The USA is divided, its future is NOT bright like political leaders claim, and it will be destroyed because it has refused to repent.
Yet, while national repentance is not expected, YOU personally can repent–and should. And all who claim to follow Jesus need to pray to be counted worthy to escape what will happen and stand before Him (Luke 21:36).
