With around 40 million Americans or so unemployed and/or underemployed, Doug Casey put out the following:

The bailouts will create huge new distortions in the economy – on top of not allowing the old ones to be liquidated. And as you’ll recall, that’s one of the three definitions that I use for a depression.
The broadest one is it’s a period of time when most people’s standard of living falls significantly – that’s already happening, but it’s just started. We’re definitely in a depression, from that point of view.
A depression is also a time when distortions and misallocations of capital are liquidated. Well, they’re not letting them be liquidated. That will make the depression even worse when they finally are liquidated. This is really serious. This shutdown has created even more distortions, made worse by the government’s helicopter money.
I don’t see any way out of it, other than completely disengaging the State from the economy. But there’s no way that will happen at this point. The problem is greatly aggravated by everybody blaming the depression on the virus. The virus itself is basically a manufactured scam.
Globally, about 400,000 people die from the common seasonal flu each year. And I doubt that the virus will even get that high – it’s just over 300,000 globally now, even though the numbers are being inflated for political reasons. It’s a manufactured hysteria. The biggest one since the witch hysteria of the 17th century.
It’s a convenient excuse for the collapse of the economy. The economy would have collapsed anyway, because of all the distortions caused by the State. But now, they can blame it on the virus. Now they can say it’s really nobody’s fault. It’s not the fault of the government. It’s not the fault of the Federal Reserve. It’s just an act of God that came out of nowhere.
So this is perfect for the government. If I was them, I would look at this thing as manna from heaven. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to them. Not to mention an excuse for a vast increase in State power. While many government officials may be pleased, what the USA is doing is not “perfect for the government.” As far as the global death count, some believe it is understated, though the Supervisor of San Diego County last week made a case for the COVID-19 deaths as massively undercounted.

Last week, House Democrats unveiled their latest pandemic-relief package. The bill combines aid for families, a bailout for struggling cities and states, and additional funds for testing, tracing, and hospitals. The price tag is about $3 trillion—and it comes just weeks after the president signed an economic-relief package worth about $2 trillion.
Republicans have assailed the bill as a profligate wish list. Even Americans who are suffering from the health and economic ravages of the pandemic may feel a bit stunned by the dollar amount. Does the government really have to spend $5 trillion in three months? Can the United States afford to dump such unfathomable amounts of money into the economy?
The answers to those questions are yes and absolutely yes. …

It is wrong to print up money the government does not have. This practice has been done for thousands of years and the Bible condemns it!
This diluting of the value of currency (called “dross” anciently)–which is what the USA has been doing–and many want it to do more of–is condemned in the Bible.
4 Take away the dross from silver (Proverbs 25:4a).
22 Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water. (Isaiah 1:22)
25 I will turn My hand against you, And thoroughly purge away your dross, And take away all your alloy. (Isaiah 1:25)
18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; they are all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace; they have become dross from silver. 19 Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20 As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you. 21 Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. 22 As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall you be melted in its midst; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have poured out My fury on you.’” (Ezekiel 22:18-22)
Dross is what you can call ‘legal’ counterfeiting. Basically in ancient times, nations would produce coins that were supposed to be silver or gold. But to ‘stimulate the economy’ when those were in short supply, cheaper metals were used, and gold or silver would cover the coin. The coins would look like real money, but they were not.
That is basically what the USA has been doing and others want it to do more of that. Dross was a factor in the final destruction of the old Roman Empire. This is NOT good for the USA (see also Could the USA collapse because of ‘dross money’ like Rome?).
Although the Bible warns against using dross and diluting the money supply, many modern ‘experts’ have a different view. The wrong views on economics will lead to economic problems and ultimately the total crash of the dollar of the USA.
It will be much worse than most think.
The Bible warns, “be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). The Bible also warns that destruction will come in the end time to highly indebted nations (cf. Habakkuk 2:2-8).
There is a serious cost to having an economy pumped up with so much “dross” money.
There are disastrous changes that will come to the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses)–and its debt and other monetary practices, which one day will cause massive hyperinflation–will be a cause (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).
But since many leading so-called ‘economists’ are political hacks and/or have a political agenda, do not expect too many prominent ones to have sufficient influence to resolve the problems in the USA.

Yes, the USA needs national repentance. But printing up three trillion dollars more that the USA does not have is worse than worthless–printing money that the USA does not have will result in the end of the USA (cf. Habakkuk 2L6-8).

Many in the USA improperly believe that the Federal Government can continue to massively create electronic money to ‘bail out’ businesses, state and local governments, and citizens for what the lockdown and some of its other policies related to COVID-19 have caused.
What about Europe?
It is reeling from COVID-19 issues as well.
But it has NOT produced trillions of Euros of debt, at least not yet, for COVID-19.
Consider a story, I have reported here before:
There once was a movie that had two men camping outdoors. Suddenly, one man yells, “Run, a bear!” The other man yells back, “You can’t outrun a bear.” The first man responded with, “True, but all I have to do is to outrun you.”
The implication is that the first man only needed to be better in the sight of the bear than the second one, which presumably the bear would consider to be weaker, and then catch and destroy.
From an economic perspective, the story basically is that the debt and economic situation in Europe does not need to be perfect, only perceived to better than that of the USA to someday surpass it.
COVID-19’s reducing economic output and the USA government’s massively increasing debt–the USA dollar will one day be worth no more than the novelty and scrap value of it cotton-paper!
COVID-19 should be proof that the Anglo-American dominated world as we know it will not continue (watch also our latest video COVID 19 is NOT the End, but could it be TEOTWAWKI?):

The massive increase in debt is UNSUSTAINABLE. That means that things CANNOT CONTINUE as they have been. Biblical prophecies are coming to pass.
Do not live your life like the current world order will continue as it has. Bible prophecy says that it will not. Increasing levels of debt show that a debt bubble will one day burst and the USA (as well as its Anglo-Saxon descended allies will one day be no more).
Those who do not believe that the economy of the US can fail are ignoring reality.
The economy of the US is, at best, built on a foundation of sand, as debt is certainly not a rock to build upon.
Jesus taught:
24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
