The BRICS nations of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, representing a quarter of the global economy, are meeting for the second day on Wednesday as part of a three-day summit.
They are discussing expansion and increasing global influence at a summit in South Africa’s economic capital Johannesburg.
Interest in joining the group has surged, with some 20 countries requesting membership. …
Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed the creation of a BRICS satellite constellation, highlighting India’s moon mission. …
President Xi Jinping urged the BRICS group to accelerate their expansion efforts.
“We should let more countries join the BRICS family and pool wisdom to make global governance more fair and reasonable,” Xi said in open remarks at the BRICS leaders summit.
South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa said BRICS were increasingly concerned that the global financial and payments systems are “being used as instruments of geopolitical contestation.”
“Global economic recovery relies on predictable global payment systems and the smooth operation of banking, supply chains, trade, tourism and financial flows,” Ramaphosa said at the summit’s open plenary session.
“We will continue discussions on practical measures to facilitate trade and investment flows through the increased use of local currencies,” he said.

The BRICS nations of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, which represent a quarter of the global economy, are meeting for three days, and interest in joining the group has surged.
In a speech read on his behalf by his Commerce Minister Wang Wentao at the start the BRICS summit in South Africa, President Xi Jinping said “hegemonism is not in China’s DNA.”
He said the talks taking place in Johannesburg were not aimed at “asking countries to take sides, or creating bloc confrontation, rather to expand the architect of peace and development.”
“Whatever resistance there may be, BRICS, a positive and stable force for good will continue to grow,” he said. “We will forge a stronger BRICS strategic partnership, … actively advance membership expansion,” and “help make the international order more just and equitable.”
China is the BRICS most powerful economy, and Xi’s state visit to South Africa, just his second international trip this year, comes as Beijing pushes to rapidly expand the group’s membership. …
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva are also at the talks where some 50 other leaders have been invited.
Representing 40 percent of the world’s population, and democratic and authoritarian states at varying levels of economic growth, the BRICS nations share a common desire for a global order they see as better reflecting their interests and rising clout.
BRICS is also championing its own development bank as an alternative to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, and proposals to reduce the use of the U.S. dollar in global trade.

It will be a MASSIVE blow to America and could be what leads to the dollar losing its reign as the global reserve currency of the world, weakening America’s power even more.

ANSWER: I am 99.99% sure. This meeting is by far the most important BRICS meeting since the founding of the organization in 2006. Now I don’t know for certain if Saudi Arabia will be accepted into the BRICS or not; only the leaders of the BRICS nation know that.
But if the Saudis are accepted, I believe it will trigger a currency war unlike anything we’ve ever seen… creating a massive profit opportunity in the currency markets. …
QUESTION: Do you believe the Saudis will price their oil in the new BRICS currency in the future?
ANSWER: I do believe this is part of the bigger plan the Saudis have for joining the BRICS. First and foremost, joining the BRICS allows the Saudis to get away from being dependent on the U.S. This will allow them to sell their oil in other currencies (helping cause a worldwide currency war around the globe).
In the end, I believe the plan for the BRICS is to be able to trade amongst themselves with their own currency, but I believe we are still a ways away from that. …
QUESTION: If your BRICS hypothesis happens, how do I protect my wealth?
ANSWER: Over time, the dynamic is the BRICS are going to be anchored to gold and the U.S. is going to be anchored to nothing, and the dollar price of gold is going to go up, which is the dollar valuation, resulting in a highly inflationary environment. While Jim Rickards does not have a sterling track record related to his financial predictions, BRICS is more and more being seen as a viable alternative to dealing with the US–and that is why many other nations are interested in being part of it.

The BRICS summit is underway with talk of expanding the economic block and speculation about a “new currency.” Peter Schiff appeared on Real America with Dan Ball to talk about these developments, saying the BRICS nations will blunt Western dominance. …
Peter noted that Treasury bond yields were at the highest level in 16 years. That’s a big problem when you have a $32.7 trillion national debt and massive budget deficits month after month.
This backup in the yield on the 30-year Treasury — mortgage rates are going to hit 8% pretty soon. Think about that for a minute. When was the last time anybody was looking at an 8% mortgage? Just a year ago, they were in the threes. So, everybody is going to be paying more.”
And things don’t appear to be on track to get any better.
We are broke as a nation, and the inflation genie is out of the bottle. We’ve had more than 10 years of reckless money printing. There’s no way these rate hikes are going to do anything about that. So, high inflation is here to stay. And it’s going to get even higher.”
President Biden keeps saying the economy is strong. Peter asked how he could make that assertion.
We’re the world’s biggest debtor nation. We have record trade deficits, record budget deficits, and inflation that’s about to run out of control. I don’t think the economy has ever been this weak.”

Well, BRICS will impact the West, but it will mainly push against Anglo-American dominance. That said, Peter Schiff is correct that the USA has a problem as the world’s biggest debtor–and according to the Bible, that is one of the reasons that the USA will be conquered per Habakkuk 2:6-8.
The Europeans want to lead the new world order–the one that replaces the Anglo-American dominated one. And for a time, according to the Bible, (cf. Revelation chapters 13,17 & 18) Europe will.
The BRICS nations clearly want to topple the dominance of the US and its dollar. Notice the following which is in my book Lost Tribes and Prophecies: What will happen to Australia, the British Isles, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and the United States of America?:
Those in Iran and some of the Arab lands, along with nations such as Brazil, China, and India have discussed plans for the removal of the dominance of the U.S.A. in global trade as well. The former (again current) President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, even claimed that eliminating the U.S. dollar’s reserve currency status was one of the reasons that the BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) was formed in the first place. [i] Others have noted that bypassing the USA dollar is still an object of BRICS—and officially BRICS nations “are currently working on setting up a new global reserve currency,”[ii] which may have gold-backing.[iii] The expansion of BRICS (which is in progress) may ultimately even hurt Australian trade as well as “severely weaken primacy of the US Dollar as an international currency.”[iv]
The Bible clearly warns against cheapening the money supply and encourages having money hold its value (Proverbs 25:4 Isaiah 1:25, Ezekiel 22:18-22). Debt is also warned against (Habakkuk 2:6-8). Yet policies enacted under the Obama, Trump, and Biden Administrations, following certain other administrations, have ignored these warnings.

One day the US dollar will be toppled. But let me add that the Bible teaches that a coming European power will accumulate gold too (cf. Daniel 11:38,43; see also The Plain Truth About Gold in Prophecy. How Should a Christian View Gold?).
What about gold?
It is the one commodity that the BRICS nations (all of which are Gentile) and much of the world will accept as currency.
The Bible is clear that Gold will be used during the time of the Gentiles:
43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; (Daniel 11:43)
14… And the wealth of all the surrounding nations
Shall be gathered together: Gold, silver, and apparel in great abundance. (Zechariah 14:14)10 … Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’ 11 “And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: 12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. 14 The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all. 15 The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16 and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls! (Revelation 18:10-16)
We are getting closer to that time.

China introduced something that was called the gold-petro-yuan back in 2018. Since then, the global share of US-dollar-dominated exchange reserves have dropped to 59.0%. In April 2021, China became the first major economy to unleash a Central Bank Digital Currency. China also has given its banks permission to import large amounts of gold. Is China preparing for a gold-backed yuan to push aside the US dollar or to help it survive a US dollar cataclysm? Are other nations preparing to push the US dollar aside? Do Europeans seem to have the most gold? Are Europeans prophesied to gain more gold? Is the US debt trajectory sustainable per Fed Chairman Jerome Powell? Does the Bible warn of the end coming to the highly indebted in Habakkuk 2:6-8? Why does it looked like a gold-backed currency will replace the US dollar? Will the US dollar, ultimately, become essentially worthless? Dr Thiel addresses these issues and more.

Based upon several biblical prophecies, I have long written that the Asians and Europeans will cooperate, for a time, and eliminate the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies. They will divide their lands among them per Daniel 11:39, and many of the survivors will be made slaves (for more details check out the article Will the Anglo-Saxon Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?).
It should be added that part of the purpose of the Euro was to bypass the USA dollar for international trade. And, that has happened completely within the Eurozone block in the EU.
Steps towards pushing away the Anglo-American dominance of the world for the past couple of centuries is happening.

BRICS and the Woes of Revelation
The BRICS nations consist of Brazil, Russia, China, India, and South Africa. In February of 2023, Russia, China, and South Africa held joint naval drills. In the Fall of 2022, India, Russia, and China held joint military exercises. Brazil also has a military cooperation agreement with Russia. The Book of Revelation uses the term woe three in chapter 8 verse 13–those woes are then discussed in later chapters. Could the BRICS nations, along with the coming Babylonian European Beast power be involved in all three of the woes? Do the BRICS nations want to push aside the USA dollar? Is one of the woes tied to the rise of a 200,000,000 man army? Is there any connection to the second woe and the two witnesses? Do the woes correspond with the last of the seven trumpets in the Book of Revelation? Is one of the woes tied to Armageddon? Does Jesus return with the seventh trumpet? Will nations not be pleased when Jesus returns? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie go over these matters.

Although BRICS will not dominate the world economically like the coming European Beast power will, the BRICS nations and their decisions will have major impacts on the world.
