The front page of the local newspaper in San Luis Obispo this morning had the headline “Scientists can’t fully explain quake increase”.

Prophecy watchers, however, are aware that Jesus included earthquakes in various places among what He called the beginning of sorrows:

8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)

The 2010 earthquakes seem to be consistent with this prophecy.
