ECB impacted by Donald Trump, but hopes its ‘666’ prelude, the digital euro, to be out this Fall

Policies by US President Donald Trump have caused concerns for the European Central Bank:

European Central Bank policymaker Yannis Stournaras said on Tuesday that likely higher inflation and a global trade war following U.S. President Donald Trump’s imposition of tariffs could delay normalization of euro zone monetary policy.
“Any further resurgence in inflation or inflation expectations could delay or even halt the process of monetary policy normalization, worsening financial conditions and growth momentum,” Stournaras, who is governor of the Bank of Greece, said at the Greek central bank’s annual shareholders’ meeting.

While Europe was moving in that direction already, Donald Trump has further motivated Europe to make that action.

Christine Lagarde, president of the European Central Bank, has announced that the digital euro will be ready for October 2025.
However, she stressed the importance of moving forward with the legislative process that would impose the digital euro, urging the European Commission, the European Council, and member states parliaments to accelerate the laws and directives that are required to make the digital euro viable. …
The hurry to impose the digital euro also comes at a time when European member states have announced large plans to spend, borrow, and invest in defense. The digital euro, which Lagarde described in 2022 as “a digital banknote with a little less anonymity than the paper banknote because it is issued and guaranteed by the central bank,” is an unnecessary and dangerous tool.
Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) have been gaining attention as the technology of the future for monetary systems, but beneath their promise of efficiency and innovation lies a more pessimistic reality: they can serve as tools for surveillance, eroding personal privacy and financial freedom.
In the European Union, where limits to freedom of expression and the cancellation of elections are already a concern, a CBDC can be seen as surveillance masquerading as currency.
CBDCs are not just digital versions of existing currencies; they are issued directly to accounts held at central banks, allowing for unprecedented oversight of financial transactions. A digital euro is a prelude to ‘666’ monitoring of Revelation 13:16-18.
Although Donald Trump signed an executive order preventing the US government from implementing a CBDC (see Donald Trump bans CBDC and promotes Crypto, while ECB pitches digital euro as response to Trump’s crypto push), that has not prevented Europe from pushing faster for one.
The Continuing Church of God put together the following video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel discussing various views and scriptures about CBDCs:

Europe continues to push for its CBDC digital euro.

13. CBDCs and 666
Notice the following prophecy:
16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-18)
This type of financial surveillance could not have happened during the time of the Apostle John as there was no real way to monitor many financial transactions then (despite the fact that ‘preterists’ believe this was fulfilled almost 2000 years ago, see also The Dangerous Rise of Preterists). The same was true for all the centuries that followed until the late 20th and now the 21st century. But now not only does the technology exist to monitor most financial transactions, the political will is there as well.
It will be a European power that will fulfill the above prophecy of 666 (watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).
It will likely take supercomputers aided with artificial intelligence to aid in the fulfillment of the scriptures in Revelation 13:15-18, as well as cyber-spying/monitoring. I do believe that cyber monitoring will be used by the European Beast, King of the North, 666 power.
We are seeing a move to digital/electronic money. …
The Europeans, themselves, will continue to push for a CBDC or other type of digital currency. …
While 2025 will not see a cashless world, expect to see more movements towards monitorable payments.
