EU building massive trading block as it works to towards being an empire

BRUSSELS/SAMARKAND (Own report) – In its power struggle against Russia and China, the EU is aiming at the formation of a global bloc, seeking to comprehensively expand the Western bloc and to move against foreign powers’ “Trojan horses” at home, according to yesterday’s State of the Union Address by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The transatlantic bloc, which includes some Asia-Pacific nations, will thus be given the positively connotated label of “democracies.” It is to include as many African and Latin American nations as possible and juxtaposed with a non-western bloc, which will be given the negatively connotated label “autocracies.” …
As von der Leyen also explained, “our future” also depends “on our ability to engage beyond the core of our democratic partners.” The President of the Commission specifically referred to African nations, whom she wants to woo also using the “Global Gateway,” a large-scale investment program, which has already been pompously announced twice, but has yet to show any real success. (german-foreign-policy.com reported.[2]) Von der Leyen now wants to replicate “this approach” across Latin America. In its external self-portrayal, EU propaganda enjoys using the expression “Team Europe.” While seeking to win numerous allies from around the world for the bloc of “democracies”, von der Leyen announced that it will not be tolerated that “foreign autocrats” and “foreign institutes” within the EU “undermine our values.” “We will not allow any autocracy’s Trojan horses to attack our democracies from within.”[3] In the future, a “Defense of Democracy package” will uncover “foreign influence” in the EU. 09/15/22 https://www.german-foreign-policy.com/en/news/detail/9024

EU’s Global Gateway, Trade, and War?
The European Union announced that it planned to spend €300 billion ($340 billion) in a program called ‘Global Gateway.’ According to EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen it is a “true alternative” to China’s Belt and Road Initiative, also known as the Silk Road Project. Both the EU and Chinese projects will improve road, ports, and/or other infrastructure to connect with Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Will this result in increased trade for Europe and Asia during the time of the Gentiles? Will Babylonian Europe dominate trade for a time? Will devastating war hit Europe with Russian and Eurasian involvement? Would infrastructure these projects are involved in be used for war? What about preparation for Armageddon? Dr. Thiel address these issues and cites biblical prophecies related to these matters.

The Bible warns about the following:

The Bible warns of an international trading block based in Europe. Europe is working on that right now, despite difficulties it will face.

The reason is quite clear. Explains the Common Market’s official publication, European Community, in a frank assessment:
“Today, Latin America welcomes ties with Europe more than any further links with the U.S., which has economically and politically dominated the area for the past half-century…. The Community has had few colonies in the region and thus is not associated … with the era of dependence that they are now striving to end.” …
EEC officials … reject such labels as “empire building” or ” neocolonialism. “
Yes, for decades the Europeans have been working on trade deals, trading blocks, and expansion.
While many in Europe reject terms such as “empire building”, leaders in Europe have been working towards a massive empire.
Is the European Union an Empire?
Is the European Union an empire? On the surface, this might seem like a really weird question. “Empire” is a word with many connotations, most of them negative. …
Scholars such as Hoerber, Sigalas, Muenkler, Grande, and others define an “empire” as a more fragmented alternative to the modern, territorial nation-state. Rather than a classical pre-national political entity based on military might (like the Roman Empire) or a hegemonic project on the part of a nation-state to assert dominion over the planet (like the British Empire), the European Union would be classified as a new type of empire, with some critical differences. Traditional empires (and, to some degree, nation-states) have a centralised institutional framework, with a distinctive capital from which all power emanates to the periphery. This is a far cry from the mesh of regional, national, and supranational governance the EU is built upon.
Clear borders are one of the hallmarks of nation-states, but imperial borders tend to be fuzzy. Scholars point to the uncertainty surrounding European borders – while EU membership is pretty distinct, the circles of affiliation involving the EEA, EFTA, and various special partnerships, make the European borderlands considerably harder to pin down exactly in a political and economic dimension. …
Whether it’s politically expedient, useful, or accurate from a communication standpoint to label the EU as an empire is an open question, and one which non-academics can reasonably be sceptical about. The term did make its way outside of academia, as noted by Hoerber and Sigalas. EU Commission President Barroso said as much in 2007, claiming that the EU was the world’s “first non-imperial empire”. … Sitting somewhere between being an international organisation, a confederation of states, a federal state in its own right, or a multi-national federation, the EU is a bit of all the above, but neither of those can describe it fully and accurately.

The European Union is basically an empire in progress.
As far as central authority goes, the Bible shows Europe will reorganize and turn power over to a totalitarian dictator called the Beast:
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)
In the Book of Daniel, it shows that King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream related to empires. God had Daniel tell the king about it as follows:
31 “You, O king, were watching; and behold, a great image! This great image, whose splendor was excellent, stood before you; and its form was awesome. 32 This image’s head was of fine gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. 34 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
36 “This is the dream. Now we will tell the interpretation of it before the king. 37 You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; 38 and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all — you are this head of gold. 39 But after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours; then another, a third kingdom of bronze, which shall rule over all the earth. 40 And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others. 41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. 44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. 45 Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold — the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure.” (Daniel 2:31-45)
Notice that the Beast has two legs and two feet. This final empire, which Jesus will ultimately destroy, is clearly prophesied to have division. It will arise in Europe and is in the process of doing so.

Yet, the image is called “great.” It is certain that the divided, end-time Beast power will form.
Before it is destroyed (Daniel 2:45, 11:44), the final Beast power must come together and get to the place where it has major economic influence. Europe has been taking steps to stand up against the old world financial order (which to a great degree has been dominated by the United Kingdom and then the United States for about two centuries) while reaching out to its former colonies (much of Africa and Latin America).
Despite bickering, the Bible says it is certain that a partially-united, European power will rise up militarily for a time (cf. Revelation 13:1-10).
The “failed empire” will reorganize and cause the world to marvel (Revelation 13:1-4).
But, the good news is that Jesus will have it eliminated, return, and establish the Kingdom of God.
That interpretation is certain.
