Europe agrees to develop Ariane 6 rocket

20 European nations have agreed to develop a new generation of the Ariane rocket:

The European Space Agency (ESA) was today given the go-ahead to build a new rocket launcher to replace its incredibly successful workhorse Ariane 5. …

The landmark decisions were taken by a meeting of Ministers in Luxembourg. They agreed to fund the Ariane 6, a more powerful three-stage rocket that will fly with either four boosters or two boosters.

The new launcher, which was seen as essential to allow ESA to remain competitive in the satellite launching business, is scheduled to make its first flight in 2020.

France is the biggest player in the project and will fund an upgrade of Europe’s spaceport at Kourou, French Guiana, to accommodate Ariane 6.

Agreement was made after winning the support of Germany, which had previously wanted to upgrade the Ariane 5 first. In return, Germany will win greater participation in the International Space Station.

The Ministers were asked to find 3.8 billion euros ($4.7 billion) to cover the costs of developing Ariane 6 and also upgrading ESA’s smaller launcher, the Italian-built Vega.

The Ariane 6 will come in two sizes—the A62 and the A64. The A62 will have two boosters and will launch medium sized satellites, with a payload of up to 5 tonnes. The A64 will be able to launch the large commercial communications satellites, two at a time, and with a maximum payload of 11 tonnes.

As I reported here a couple of days ago, one of the reasons that the Europeans were looking at doing this is that they have concerns about their dependence on Russia and NASA (the USA) to launch their satellites, etc. into orbit (see Europe considering Ariane to replace need for NASA and Russia).

I strongly believe that Europe will develop more technology as Bible prophecy shows that a European power that no one really thought was a major military power will become successful (Isaiah 10:5-11; Revelation 13:1-4).

The Bible discusses a warring Beast from the sea in Revelation 13:1-10. This seem leader is referred to as a type of Beast in Daniel 7, a king in Daniel 8 and 11, and a king in Isaiah 10.

Here are some scriptures about this in Isaiah:

5 “Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger
And the staff in whose hand is My indignation.
6 I will send him against an ungodly nation,
And against the people of My wrath
I will give him charge,
To seize the spoil, to take the prey,
And to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 Yet he does not mean so,
Nor does his heart think so;
But it is in his heart to destroy,
And cut off not a few nations.
8 For he says,
‘Are not my princes altogether kings?
9 Is not Calno like Carchemish?
Is not Hamath like Arpad?
Is not Samaria like Damascus?
10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols,
Whose carved images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
11 As I have done to Samaria and her idols,
Shall I not do also to Jerusalem and her idols?'”

12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.” (Isaiah 10:5-12, NKJV throughout)

Notice that in verse 7 the King does not think he will be a warring power, but it is in his heart to destroy nations.

So, we see that the King/Beast is a warring power.

While modern warfare involves technology, why else would it seem from the Bible that technology may be the key to the Beast’s military success?

Notice the following:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:1-4)

The ‘sea’ the Beast rises out of is the Mediterranean Sea (cf. Joshua 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16); see also Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation and/or watch Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European? Notice that the military power of the Beast was something that the world will marvel, be astonished about. Why? Because no one really thought that the European Beast power had the military ability to do what it did.

The King in Isaiah 10 and the Beast of the sea in Revelation 13 is referred to as the King of the North in Daniel 11.

What will he do? Notice the following that the King of the North does:

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)

Notice that the King was able to defeat defeat the ‘strongest fortresses.’ That is, the King was able to defeat what was considered to be the most powerful military force in the world. Isn’t it the U.S.A. that is the land with the strongest fortresses in the 21st century? And since it is tied closely to the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, is it not logical to realize that they too will be affected?

The world will marvel because it did not believe that U.S.A. along with its Anglo-Saxon allies could be defeated (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel).

This King of the North will also make a deal with another, called the King of the South, which will not last:

27 Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time. (Daniel 11:27)

This deal may involve the destruction of the USA and its allies as discussed in Psalm 83:

3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

5 For they have consulted together with one consent;
They form a confederacy against You:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have helped the children of Lot. (Psalms 83:3-8)

The Assyrians, who join with the peoples who currently are in Islamic lands, are led by the King of the North. I believe the above deal will involve the use of terrorism and not exclusively employ the latest in technology. But that, combined with troops perhaps from Mexico and something under the guise of a NATO exercise will throw the USA off and set it up for the type of sudden destruction the Bible warns of (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

Despite its problems, and Europe is prophesied to have them (e.g. Daniel 11:41-43), Europe is moving forward with its space and military technology. Few in the USA and UK seem concerned about it, but biblically, they should be. And the same is true for those in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
