In my book, Donald Trump and America’s Apocalypse, I wrote:
Donald Trump’s view of climate change is expected to set up some type of issue between the USA and Europe. Europe will tend to see the USA as an irresponsible polluter of the planet, while Europe will claim to be the protector that the world needs. (Thiel B. Donald Trump and America’s Apocalypse. So, yes, the Europeans are upset with Donald Trump on climate matters, and wants to lead the world as protectors of the environment (though they will not truly succeed in that, cf. Revelation 11:18).
It is not just on climate matters that the Europeans have issues with Donald Trump.

EU’s Tusk: Trump is ‘perhaps the most difficult challenge’ for Europe
BERLIN (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump poses one of the biggest challenges for the European Union because he is “praying” for the breakup of the bloc, European Council President Donald Tusk said.
Trump has welcomed Britain’s decision to leave the EU, labeling Europe a trade “foe” and questioning the value of the transantlantic defense alliance NATO.
“For the first time in history, there is an American president who is openly against a united Europe. He supports Brexit and prays for the breakup of the Union,” Tusk told the German weekly newspaper Die Zeit in an interview.

Certainly. There are many examples, but here are three: Shadow president or mere shadow? In Europe, Pence seeks to reassure allies unnerved by Trump and G20 concludes with increased tension with the USA; Pope Francis pushes for federal Europe and Angela Merkel again says EU ‘can’t rely’ on USA, FPIF says ‘Europe should bolt NATO’

20:34The reaction of many leaders in Europe to US President Donald Trump’s trade statements and his withdrawal from the Iranian nuclear arms deal has led some to state this is a “revolt” from Europe. Some say ‘America First.’ should lead to ‘Europe First.’ It has been reported that Europe needs to be “clever” as it develops its military and economy to be less dependent upon the USA. EU Council President Donald Tusk tweeted that with friends like the USA, who needs enemies. EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said , “We have to replace the United States.” Will some of the unintended consequences of Donald Trump’s actions lead to World War Three and the end of the USA? Does the Bible teach this? Does the Bible teach that friendly allies will become enemies? Will an ally that defeats the USA say it happened because of being clever? Related to that, on September 6, 2016, I posted related to Donald Trump:

Some additional European unity will be needed for that to occur (cf. Revelation 17:12-13) and Donald Trump has already been a motivator for this. Donald Tusk is making the point that the EU needs more unity, at least partially, because of Donald Trump.
The day AFTER the November 2016 election, EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker sent out a tweet over Twitter:
Trump wins … Wake up call for Europe to further unite & take charge of its own destiny (11/09/16)
How did I know Donald Trump could trigger this?
The Bible shows that Europe will rise up again (Revelation 13:1-10), have a great army (Daniel 11:25), and will one day defeat the USA (Daniel 11:39). Because of where we are in God’s 6000/7000 year plan (see Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End?), the timing of Donald Trump and Europe’s disdain for him fit.
On November 7, 2016 (the day before Donald Trump’s election), I posted:
If Donald Trump is elected, the Germans will see this as proof that they cannot rely on the USA for their defense, etc. Germany will push for a European army. Some in Europe actually want Donald Trump to win for this basic reason (see ‘Why Europe Secretly Roots For Donald Trump’?). (Thiel B. This has happened.
Partially because Donald Trump’s threats related to NATO, in December 2017, Europe formed a new military cooperation organization, called PESCO (Permanent Structured Cooperation; see PESCO: The making of a European Defence Union) and announced plans related to military cooperation and technology (see PESCO moving forward with technology).

In November 2018, French President Macron called for a “true European army” because of China, Russia, and the USA. Some others in Europe have echoed that sentiment. On November 9, 2018, US President Donald Trump called that an insult, but the next day said that the USA wanted “a very strong Europe.” Emmanuel Macron referred to Donald Trump as “my friend” and indicated a desire to strengthen Europe’s military spending. In December 2017, 25 European nations agreed to be part of a military alliance called PESCO. Europe also has NATO and IEI. Will Europe end up with “a great army”? Has Donald Trump’s announcement to withdraw from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty gotten some to say that Europe must rebel against the USA? Is the idea of a United States of Europe and a European army a “paranoid fantasy” or a biblical reality? Will the USA regret Europe becoming a stronger military power? Will the USA be betrayed by “friends” such as its continental European allies? Does the Bible teach any or all of this? Are there connections to the Beast of Revelation or the King of the North of Daniel 11? Dr. Thiel addresses these matters in this video.

While the Europeans are UK and USA allies, the Bible shows that they will be taken over by “friends”:
1 How lonely sits the city That was full of people! How like a widow is she, Who was great among the nations! The princess among the provinces Has become a slave!2 She weeps bitterly in the night, Her tears are on her cheeks; Among all her lovers She has none to comfort her. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; They have become her enemies. (Lamentations 1:1-2)
That will be the end of the UK and the USA.
For those that think this could not happen to the USA, understand that Daniel 11:39 shows that a European power will destroy the ‘strongest fortresses’–which in the 21st century belong to the USA (and to a lessor degree its British-descended allies), this shows that the USA will be defeated, despite its military strength (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).
The late Worldwide Church of God Pastor General, Herbert W. Armstrong, made it clear that he believed that the European King of the North (the one mentioned in Daniel 11:39-40 which is the same one who places the abomination mentioned in Daniel 11:31, where the 1290 days starts) would destroy the British and American peoples. Notice some of what he wrote about that in 1979:
The indication is the armies of the “beast” of Revelation 17, entering Jerusalem (Dan 11:41, Zech. 14:2), will stop this “daily sacrifice”…And the abomination that maketh desolate set up.” What is this abomination? This refers to Daniel 11:31 and Matthew 24:15 … From this time (Daniel 12:11) to Christ’s coming will be 1290 days. Now, verse 12, “Blessed is he that waiteth, and comes to the 1335 days.” Never before have we understood these periods of 1260, 1290. and 1335 days. But it seems evident, now, a blessing is pronounced on us–GOD”S CHURCH–who wait and endure until the 1335 days–approximately 1335 days prior to Christ’s coming… We shall then be warned, and readied to be taken to a place of refuge and safety from the Great Tribulation. Forty-five days later “the beast’s armies” will surround Jerusalem. Thirty days later the Great Tribulation will probably start with a nuclear attack on London and Britain–and possibly the same day or immediately after, on the United States and Canadian cities. The GREAT TRIBULATION, we shall fully then realize, is the time of “Jacob’s Trouble,” spoken of in Jeremiah 30:7. And Jacob’s name was named on Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen. 48:16). At that time a third of the people in our nations will die, or shall have died, by famine and disease epidemics; another third will dies of the war–our cities being destroyed (Ezek. 6:6), and the remaining third will be carried to the land of our enemies as slaves (Ezek. 5:12). Australians and New Zealanders should not take real comfort in the above as after the USA and UK are out of the way, they will be taken over. Canada will been among “the nations not a few’ (Isaiah 10:7, KJV) that the forces of the King of the North will “cut off” (for more information about Canada, who was listed above, please see the article Canada in Prophecy: What Does Bible Prophecy, Catholic Prophecy, and other Predictions Suggest About the Future of Canada?; for more information related to Australia and New Zealand, watch Australia and New Zealand: Origins and Prophecy).
Notice that the Bible tells of a coming time of special and massive devastation:
23 ‘The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’ (Deuteronomy 29:23-24)
19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts
The land is burned up,
And the people shall be as fuel for the fire; No man shall spare his brother.
20 And he shall snatch on the right hand
And be hungry;
He shall devour on the left hand
And not be satisfied; Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm. 21 Manasseh shall devour Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; Together they shall be against Judah (Isaiah 9:19-21).
The above descriptions are consistent with a fiery nuclear or similar attack. Manasseh represents the USA and Ephraim its British-descended allies. THIS HAS NOT YET HAPPENED IN HISTORY AND IS A PROPHECY FOR OUR TIME.
A real war between Europe and the USA, with the UK basically on the USA’s side, will come as one day Europe will take steps to ‘eliminate the competition’ so to speak (cf. Daniel 8:25; 11:39; USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).
There will be a special European punishment for the UK and USA and while it will not be as Donald Tusk has speculated, it will involve fire and destruction.
