European Beast is growing horns over Ukraine
CCOG portrayal of the Beast of Revelation 13:1-10
The result of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is having prophetic ramifications.
Though some Protestants and Jewish prophecy watchers see Russia’s moves into Ukraine as related to Ezekiel 38, that is not the case. Ezekiel 38 does not get fulfilled until well after Jesus returns.
The two most obvious ramifications have to do with Europe and the United States.
Europeans are scared.
Most did not think anything like this was possible.
They were wrong.
This is now happening.
Fear is a powerful motivator.
The Bible tells of the rise of a power in Europe that does not stick together well:
41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. (Daniel 2:41-43)

A continent that has spent most of the past millennium at war with itself has united against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, with Germany reversing its historic policy against sending weapons to conflict zones and even famously neutral Switzerland joining the rest of Europe against Moscow.

Sweden, which is not part of NATO and has maintained a policy of neutrality through both World Wars and the Cold War, announced Monday it will send 5,000 anti-tank weapons to Ukraine. …
Even Switzerland joined the fray.
Neutrality has been a survival tactic for Switzerland that kept the alpine nation independent since Napoleon. It is not part of the European Union nor NATO. …
Experts say the most significant action, though, may be Germany’s. …
“The Russian invasion of Ukraine marks a turning point,” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in a statement. “It threatens our entire post-war order. Yes, Europe is getting more united. In a sense, it is also growing military horns.
The European Union, itself is now, temporarily, more unified than perhaps it has ever been.

Whatever the ultimate outcome of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin has succeeded in one thing: the security map of Europe has been fundamentally altered and things will never return to the way they were before.
Across the continent, and most notably within the European Union, decisions have been taken that would have been unthinkable just a few weeks ago. In the space of a few days, Brussels went further in its quest to become a geopolitical power in its own right than it had in decades.

European nations are banding together to supply military equipment to Ukraine as well as economic and other sanctions against Russia.
Furthermore as NBC reported, the non-EU European nations Sweden and Switzerland who have been historically neutral are also supporting this.
Those nations are also, eventually going to support the Beast power that will rise up in Europe for a time.
After a time of crises, Europe is prophesied to reorganize and turn power over to a dictator, the Bible calls the beast:
12 The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)
The Bible, Revelation 13, tells of the Beast power having seven heads and ten horns.\:
1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. (Revelation 13:1-2)
The sea that this is referring to is the Mediterranean sea as passages in the Old Testament demonstrate (Daniel 7:2-3; Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16; watch also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).
The Beast power to come will be European.
While we are NOT to the point of the prophesied European reorganization yet, notice something else from Revelation 13:
3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)
So, we see that a power presumed dead, Europe, will rise up and be so successful militarily that the world will marvel.
How militarily successful?
Well, this same Beast leader is called the King of the North in the 11th chapter of the Book of Daniel.
Notice what verses 39-41 show:
39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.
40 “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. (Daniel 11:39-41)
The power with the strongest fortresses in the 21st century is the USA, along with its British-descended allies. The King of the South is a power that will arise in the Middle East and North Africa.
To defeat them the King of the North will have “many ships” (Daniel 11:40) and a “great army” (Daniel 11:25).
But currently Europe is not capable of this.
Yet, Europe has changed.

Speaking on French national television on Wednesday night, Mr Macron said the Russian invasion had changed the terrain, and the arguments, for a so-called EU army.
He said: “We cannot let others defend ourselves; whether on land, at sea, under the sea, in the air, in space or in cyberspace.”
Many European nations have sent weapons to Ukraine.
As NBC reported, the biggest changes seem to be from Germany. CNN reported:
Perhaps the most significant and symbolic shift in the past few days came from Germany. The EU’s wealthiest and arguably most powerful member state announced it will more than double its defense spending, with its 2022 military budget expected to stand at $100 billion.
Not long ago, most German politicians – and a number of politicians across Europe – were uncomfortable with the idea of the country having a large military presence for obvious historical reasons.
Again, the situation in Ukraine has changed everything.
“Based on the conversations of the last few days, most European leaders now seem comfortable with a massive German army if its anchored firmly within the EU,” the diplomat says, pointing out that only a few months ago even putting the words EU and army in the same sentence would spark outrage in most of Europe’s capitals. https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/02/europe/ukraine-putin-europe-security-analysis-intl-cmd/index.html
Before this spending was announced, based on knowledge of biblical prophecies, I warned:
This invasion is turning ordinary citizens into soldiers, and is scaring many nations in Europe.
Scaring them enough that they will be more willing to spend more and cooperate more militarily.
In addition to the humanitarian issues with the war in Ukraine, this is functioning as a wakeup call for Europe to arm. (Thiel B. War, Food Prices, and Taking Away the Peace in Ukraine and Europe. COGwriter, February 26, 2022)
Germany’s spending is over 50% more than Russia spends. This will make Germany #3 in the world when it comes to military spending. Germany’s spending combined with other European nations’ military spending will put the Europeans in a position that, for a time, they will be a most powerful military force.
A force the world will marvel at.
THIS IS A BIG DEAL.
Europe now seems to be motivated to accelerate its moves towards political, economic, and military unity.
Yes, these are historic shifts. And they are shifts of biblical significance.
Another significant move what the USA agreeing to block many Russian banks from using the SWIFT system.
In 2018, Germany urged SWIFT to end the dominance in payments in USA dollars (08/27/18 https://www.dw.com/en/germany-urges-swift-end-to-us-payments-dominance/a-45242528).
By forcing a country like Russia to not use SWIFT for many of its banks, this is pushing Russia to move away for USA dollars. The holdings of reserve currencies of banks around the world totaled $12.83 trillion late last year. This money is held mostly in U.S. and European government bills and bonds – with the U.S. dollar still accounting for almost 60% of that and the euro about 20%. As the USA continues to use its financial position as a weapon, more and more nations will take steps to defend themselves–which includes holding less US dollars. This will lead to more inflation (higher prices in the USA) and help set the stage for the elimination of the USA dollar, and ultimately the USA itself per financial prophecies such as Habakkuk 2:6-8.
Yes, Europe is taking what has happened as a permanent wakeup call to unify and arm. It is also letting the USA take steps which will harm its position as the economic leader of the world.
The Europeans do want a new world order, with them running it.
And the Bible shows that the Babylonian system the Europeans are working on will happen (cf. Revelation 17 & 18).
Although Europe will appear to many to work for a time (Revelation 13 and 17), destruction will be the result (1 Thessalonians 5:3, Daniel 2:44, Revelation 17:14, 18:1-23).
Building up its military, combined with Babylonian unity, will not save Europe. Nor will financial sanctions save the USA.
The Bible shows that the solution for whole planet is the return of Jesus and the Kingdom of God.
