For the first time in history, a spacecraft from Earth has landed on the face of a comet speeding through deep space.

The time it took for Philae to descend from Rosetta as the spacecraft and comet flew through space about 317 million miles (510 million kilometers) from Earth. European Space Agency’s Rosetta space probe on Wednesday successfully deployed its robotic lander Philae on the Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

This is the first time a spacecraft has ever landed on the surface of a comet. The mission was ten years in the making.

Europe is becoming more and more significant in space technology. The European Union is planning on improving its economy and position in the world via technology and research. It is hoping to have all the pieces together by 2020. And despite its flaws, for a short time, the European power will dominate the world per Revelation 13, 17, and 18. Its intention with its technology and procedures (http://www.ft.com/cms/s/af609b2c-bf72-11db-9ac2-000b5df10621.html) IS to lead the world.

Europe is moving forward with its research, space, governmental, and military plans and few in the USA seem to realize that when it gets enough power, the USA will lose all of its.

While many will dismiss the comet landing as a ‘so-what’ accomplishment, it shows that Europe can develop and utilized advanced technologies.

The Bible teaches that a warring European power will rise up and be successful. Let’s close with Revelation 13:4:

4 “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:4)

While I do not believe Europe will exclusively use technology, successful technology would seem to why the world will marvel at the coming Beast power. The European Beast is rising up. We are getting closer to the time of the end.

The understanding of the Continuing Church of God that the Beast leader will rise up in Europe, and that later the Europeans will be able to attack and takeover the United States and its Anglo-descended allies (cf. Isaiah 10:5-11; Daniel 11:39) is correct, and will come to pass.
