Europe shudders at the thought of Donald Trump winning the US presidential election. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, stands for transatlantic consistency. That is the consensus at the heart of the EU in Brussels. …
German EU parliamentarian David McAllister … summed up the Republican thus: “Donald Trump is a big unknown here in Europe. We don’t know much about him. We don’t know much about his foreign policy, because he rarely speaks about it. And frankly, when he goes into detail it sounds frightening.” McAllister chairs a parliamentary group that deals with US relations. “Naturally, we know Hilary Clinton much better. She believes in strong transatlantic relations. No doubt we could accomplish a lot with her.” Many of Europe’s current politicians know Clinton from her tenure as US secretary of state. …
But there are Trump fans in Brussels, too, especially among right-wing populists. …
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has also abandoned his usual reserve, calling Trump a “hatemonger,” and even building him into stump speeches. Steinmeier puts the Republican candidate, who is convinced that the US election system is “rigged,” in the same category as rightwing and leftwing populists here in Europe. “Look at that loudmouth Donald Trump in America. Before going further, let me add that it is more than just “right-wing populists” that support Donald Trump in Europe. My wife and I recently returned from Europe and can assure you that the Serbians are astonished that considering her and her husband Bill’s foreign policy moves that anyone could support Hillary Clinton.
That being said, notice that David McAllister stated that the Europeans could accomplish a lot with Hillary Clinton. And that is true. If Hillary Clinton is elected she will aid the Europeans in their dream of rising up. The Bible itself teaches that, for a time, Europe will be the main power on the planet (cf. Revelation 13, 17, and 18).

Nato
In no other area has Donald Trump departed more radically from decades of US foreign policy than his approach to traditional relationships. He has castigated Nato as outdated and obsolete and characterised its members as ungrateful allies who benefit from US largesse.
He says America can no longer afford to protect countries in Europe – and in Asia – without adequate compensation, suggesting he would withdraw American forces unless they pay up.
He’s also said Nato members like the Baltic states couldn’t count on the US to come to their military aid if attacked by Russia, unless they’d fulfilled their obligations.
Mr Trump is voicing longstanding criticisms. President Obama has also expressed frustration that most Nato members don’t meet their goal of spending at least 2% of GDP on defence.
But Mr Obama stands firmly by the military alliance. As does Mrs Clinton, who proclaims Nato one of the best investments America has ever made.
She’s said Mr Trump has made himself unfit for office by stepping away from Nato’s “ironclad” mutual defence commitments, and some in his own party have warned his approach could embolden Russia.
Russia
As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was the architect of the “reset” aimed at greater co-operation with Russia, but she left office urging a harder line against President Vladimir Putin. That distrust carries over into her policy proposals to “stand up to Putin” and increase the costs of his actions.
While she acknowledges the US needs to work with Moscow where it can, she vows to partner with allies to limit its “aggression” in places like Ukraine and Syria.
She advocates strengthening Nato and improving the energy security of European states, and is willing to consider new sanctions.
In a reversal of traditional party roles, it’s the Republican Trump who has taken a more conciliatory tone to Moscow.
The real estate mogul has a history of business dealings with Russia and a number of advisers with Russian connections.
He’s said he believes he can ease tensions with Mr Putin, and has praised him as a strong leader with whom he would love to have a good relationship.
He’s said little about what this might involve beyond a desire for a joint fight against the Islamic State militants. But he intends to find out if the Russians would be “reasonable”, confident that he could better command Mr Putin’s respect than Mrs Clinton or President Obama. http://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37830496
Irrespective of who wins the election, expect some changes to occur in NATO.
At this moment I do expect that NATO will be dismantled. Yet even if it that were to happen, there will be some type of military arrangement between the USA and Europe until Europe takes over the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39; watch also Do these 7 prophesies point to the end of the USA?).
Many believe that WWIII will entail massive conflict with Russia and/or China and/or Iran and/or is mainly an Islamic war. Those views are in error. WWIII basically will be the risen European power and its allies (Germany and its allies began WWI and WWII) attacking and beating the USA, UK, and their Anglo-Saxon allies (cf. Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11; see also Germany in Biblical and Catholic Prophecy).

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is returning thousands of dollars in donations linked to what may be one of the largest straw-donor schemes ever uncovered.
A small law firm that has given money to Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Harry Reid, President Obama and many others is accused of improperly funneling millions of dollars into Democratic Party coffers. The program was exposed by the Center for Responsive Politics and the same team of Boston Globe investigative reporters featured in the movie “Spotlight.”
The Thornton Law Firm has just 10 partners, but dollar for dollar, it’s one of the nation’s biggest political donors, reports CBS News correspondent Tony Dokoupil.
But according to the firm’s own documents – leaked by a whistleblower — days or even hours after making these donations, partners received bonuses matching the amount they gave.
“Once the law firm knew that we had these records, they didn’t deny that this was the case,” said Scott Allen, Boston Globe’s Spotlight editor.
“If you give a donation and then somebody else reimburses you for that contribution, that is a clear violation of the spirit and the letter of the law at the state and federal levels,” Allen added.
Federal law limits partnerships, like the Thornton Law Firm, to a maximum donation of $2,700 per candidate. But campaign finance watchdogs say the firm used its individual partners as straw donors, allowing it to funnel money to campaigns well above that legal limit.
“Straw donor reimbursement systems are something both the FEC and the Department of Justice take very seriously, and people have gone to jail for this,” Center for Responsive Politics editorial director Viveca Novak said. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/thornton-law-firm-straw-donor-scheme-bonuses-boston-globe-spotlight/
The above is more evidence that politics in the USA is often corrupt and that many do not follow the laws that are supposed to reduce corruption. It should be obvious that many see donations as a way to buy political influence. And as the government of the USA takes on more and more roles that its Constitution seems to prohibit, it becomes a greater temptation for those who overly love themselves and who love money.
Speaking of corruption in general, the following end time prophecy seems to be being at least partially fulfilled during this election cycle:
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
Unless there is national repentance in the USA, it will be done for relatively soon.
