False Tribulation/Rapture predictions for 2021 and 2022
‘Apocalyptic War’ (Pixabay)
Each year, various ones point to their predictions and/or calculations as to when they believe the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21) will begin.
Consider, for example, that although some claimed that the blood moons in 2014 and 2015 may have marked the beginning, I correctly denounced that years ago (Blood Moons, Eclipses, and Prophecy; a related YouTube video is also available: Blood Moons, Prophecy, 2014, and 2015) and was proven right. I also denounced the so-called Shemitah year and the claimed devastation that was supposed to hit the world economy, etc. in late 2015 (ee also 6000 years up and Jesus to return in 2016? and September ‘convergence’: a harbinger of potential disaster?), and again was right. On January 1, 2017, I blasted the idea of the claimed ‘Jubilee of 2017″ would mark the end (see Can the Great Tribulation Start in 2017?) Furthermore, I blasted the idea that the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 (see Solar Eclipse and the Apocalypse) or Planet Nibiru would begin the tribulation or destroy the Earth (see Doomsayers: Planet Nibiru to destroy Planet Earth in four weeks). I also denounced the view that because of the formation of the tiny nation of Israel in 1948, that the Great Tribulation needed to start 70 years later, like in 2018 (watch Can the Great Tribulation begin in 2018?). Some wrongly claimed that something from the “Sabbatical Code” as well as a shemita-decree calculation or a message from Fatima predicted 2019 (see False ‘Great Tribulation’ predictions/calculations for 2019). Some pointed to astronomy and even John 20″20 as proof for 2020 as the beginning, but this was denounced as well (watch Could the Great Tribulation Begin in 2020?).
Why?
Because according to the Bible, other events needed to occur, that had not yet occurred.
We must base the timing of the Great Tribulation upon what the Bible teaches.
The reality is that there are various clues in the Bible, in such books as Daniel and Matthew, that make the prospect of the Great Tribulation happening in the next three years impossible.
Yet, we have seen events occur that are getting us closer.
Furthermore, from abortion to increased acceptance of sexual immorality to terrorism to politicians, we are seeing the following being fulfilled:
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
With all this going on, can the Great Tribulation begin in 2021 or 2022?
No, yet various ones have said so.
The unitarian Wade Cox reportedly believes that the sixth trumpet (which comes years after the 5th seal and the start of the Great Tribulation) could be sounded already and Jesus could come in 2022:
2014-15 NATO is forced to occupy the Middle East in the nations listed from Daniel 11:40-43. Russia, with the complicity of China, forces the escalation of the War of the Fifth Trumpet which is a biochemical war into the release of the Four Angels at the Euphrates from Tartaros for this final phase. War of the Sixth Trumpet starts.
2022-2025 Messiah intervenes and subjugates the nations. …

2022-2024 The fall of the nations and the battles of Armageddon. …
2021-2022 Passover is the probable last time for the two Witnesses to be in place in Jerusalem. Droughts of the two Witnesses commence. 2024 Probable last date for the return of the Messiah …
(Christian Churches of God No. 272 Outline Timetable of the Age (Edition 7.0 19981121-20021020-20061108-20101025-20111122-20120601-20131228-20171220-20200508)
That is simply not possible and it is wrong to suggest that it could be. Jesus cannot come for at least 7 years from now.
Here is something related to 2021 and the coming of the Messiah:
A Biblical hidden code which contains an imminent end of the world Bible prophecy for 2021 has been cracked, scholars claim. And within the heart of the codes are nostradamus predictions end of the world and the coming of the Jewish Messiah coming in 2021.
Rabbis, priests, mathematicians and professors have claimed to have uncovered a network of hidden codes in the ancient texts.
… Documentary film The Torah Codes: End to Darkness, by filmmaker Richard Shaw, has helped popularise the theory … (Holloway H. Bible ‘hidden code’ with imminent 2021 end of the world prophecy cracked by scholars. Keep the Faith, January 20, 2020 https://www.keepthefaith.co.uk/2020/02/02/bible-hidden-code-with-imminent-2021-end-of-the-world-prophecy-cracked-by-scholars/ accessed 07/07/20)
Of course, Jesus is the Messiah and He already came (for proof, check out the free online book: Proof Jesus is the Messiah). Although Jesus will return, that return will not be in 2021.
I have seen one claim that the Great Tribulation will begin March 6, 2021 and end September 16, 2024, but that is not possible. Another has speculated that it will start during Passover in 2021 (that which begins after sunset March 26 2021). Again, not possible.
Here are two pointing to the State of Israel and 80 years being a generation:
The rapture of course isn’t dependent on the covenant that Daniel 9:27 talks about. The doctrine of imminence implies that we, for instance, could be taken up tomorrow and that the great tribulation will start in let’s say 2021, so that when we add 7 years of tribulation, we end up in 2028. This would then mark the exact 80th year after the founding of the modern state of Israel, just in time for a generation to see all the things in Matthew 24 happening. (70 years ? https://unravelations.weebly.com/70-years.html accessed 11/14/20)
Israel we know was ‘Born in a single day” in May of 1948 according to Psalm 48 and also Isaiah.
1948 and add the longest length of man’s years, 80 equals the year 2028.
This means that by the year 2028, every listed event in Matthew 24 has to be accomplished. This includes the 7-year Tribulation period.
Beginning with the year 2028 and deduct 7-years for the Tribulation period, we arrive at year 2021. So the Tribulation would have to start on or around the year of 2021 to 2022 to be finalized by 2028. (Grable, Steve. “We have until 2021-22 to complete the Great Commission” April 14th, 2017http://jeremiah111.org/?page_id=5908)
This part is a bit tricky. It is possible that the deal of Daniel 9:27 will be confirmed in 2021. That would start the countdown. Many Protestants consider that the tribulation lasts 7 years and the first 3 1/2 is basically easy, with the “great” portion to be the last 3 1/2 years. So, with allowing for the “great tribulation” to include 3 1/2 years that is not so great, this is possible–but we do need to see if the deal of Daniel 9:27 is confirmed. As far as a “rapture” before the end of that seven years, that is NOT possible (see Is There A Secret Rapture for the Church? When and Where is the Church Protected?).
Now here is a claim (accessed 11/14/20):
Some of the early church fathers such as the Apostle Barnabus, Irenaeus, and Hippolytus, taught that the 6 days of creation plus the Sabbath day meant that the earth was allocated 6000 years until Christ’s return. This should figure out to be in the year 2028. The 7th day will denote the 1,000 year Sabbath or rest during the reign of Christ upon the earth. This comes out to 4000 years that Satan held man in the captivity of the grave until Christ defeated the grave almost 2,000 years ago. The Great Tribulation should begin around the year 2021 with that man of sin being revealed sometime around 2024-2025.

While we are close to the end of the 6,000 years, having read all of those “fathers,” I do not believe that they specified 2028, only that there was a 6,000 year plan see also (Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End? ).
The American pastor F. Kenton Beshore predicted 2021 for Jesus to return. He bases his prediction on the prior suggestion that Jesus would return in 1988, i.e., within one biblical generation (40 years) of the founding of Israel in 1948. Beshore argues that the prediction was correct, but that the definition of a biblical generation was incorrect and was actually 70–80 years, placing the second coming of Jesus between 2018 and 2028 and the rapture by 2021 at the latest (List of dates predicted for apocalyptic events. Wikipedia, accessed 10/27/19)–which he believes precedes the Great Tribulation.
A true prophet of God realizes that any who claim prior to 2024 are in error. There is NO possibility that the Great Tribulation will begin in 2021, 2022, or 2023 nor that Jesus will return before 2028.
Necessary events that Jesus and Daniel mentioned have not happened.
So, let’s look at the account in Matthew 24:
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. (Matthew 24:4-15)
There is no possibility that the Great Tribulation can happen in 2021 or 2022 and those who rely on the Bible have realized this. It is only those who overlook scripture and rely on their own views and/or false traditions who make the mistake of thinking that the Great Tribulation can, or could, happen in 2021.
Why do I state this?
Jesus pointed to Daniel.
Thus, one reason that the Great Tribulation will not begin yet is that the one known as the final King of the North in Daniel 11 needs to rise up.
The Bible shows that the coming “King of the North” will make a deal of some sort with one called the King of the South just before the appointed time of the end:
27 Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time (Daniel 11:27).
Daniel chapter 11 tells much about the end times and it involves both a King of the South and a King of the North. And while there was a president of the South and a president of the North in the Union for the Mediterranean (see Deal Leading to Psalm 83?), these individuals have not held the type of power (nor prerogatives) of the prophesied King of the North and the King of the South. Nor will the current head of the post-Lisbon European Union, likely be the final King of the North as he does not seem to fit that description.
Since the Great Tribulation will not start before there is an actual King of the South and an actual final King of the North)–it is not yet.
Now the Bible shows that a “prince” will apparently confirm a peace deal with Israel:
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.” (Daniel 9:27)
This prince, as Daniel 9:26 and other parts of the Bible show, is European. The one prophetic week is 7 years. Thus, the middle of the week is 3 1/2 years after this deal is confirmed.
The prince that is confirming this will be the King of the North of Daniel 11. And Daniel 11:31, ties in with Daniel 9:27, and hence happens 3 1/2 years after this deal is confirmed.
The Great Tribulation itself does not begin until verse 39 of Daniel 11. Therefore, since this deal of Daniel 9:27 has not yet occurred and been confirmed, the Great Tribulation cannot begin until at least 3 1/2 years from now.
That deal will probably include the United States and some Arab lands as part of the “many” in Daniel 9:27.
Since this deal has still not been made, there is NO possibility that the Great Tribulation can start prior to 2022–and even that could be too early.
Notice that in the book of Daniel there is a prophecy related to the end times that states:
26 And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).
There are several reasons that this “prince” is referring to the leader of the developing European empire (see King of the North and Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation). One is that it was the people of the Roman Empire of the 1st century that fulfilled the portion of Daniel 9:26 as they destroyed the city (Jerusalem) in 70 A.D. The European Union includes much of the land and peoples that were part of the ancient Roman Empire. And it is the “prince” coming from that people that verse 27 is referring to. Thus, this prophecy tells us that a lower level European leader will officially start to rise up about 3 1/2 years before the great tribulation (and yes, according to Jesus, some “tribulation” does happen prior to the start of the Great Tribulation). Another is the fact that the “beast of the sea” (Revelation 13:1) fits with the beasts from the “great sea” (Daniel 7:2)–and that is the Mediterranean Sea according to the Old Testament–hence this is an empire like the old Roman one (for more details, please see Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation).
This portion of scripture in Daniel seems to be discussing some type of peace deal that the Europeans will either propose or at least one from Europe will endorse. Such a deal did not exist as of early 2021, or at least was not publicly confirmed by the “prince” by then. The deal will be broken 3 1/2 years later (Daniel 9:27; 11:31).
Therefore, while the Great Tribulation is coming, it will not begin in 2024.
Christians, Philadelphian ones, are to understand Jesus said tribulation related events tie in with Daniel. Yet, most who profess Christ do not fully get it. Anyway, after Daniel 11:31 and the fleeing (Matthew 24:15; Revelation 12:14-17), the Great Tribulation begins:
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22)
This cannot possibly happen before 2022 and I do not believe the Great Tribulation can start before 2025.
The Continuing Church of God (CCOG) is pleased to announce the following video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel:
Is the end coming in 2021? Jesus’ disciples specifically asked Him how to know when this would happen (Matthew 24:3)–and He responded with details (Matthew 24:4-22). Sadly, many overlook what Jesus taught, but instead try to point to other things. Is it possible for the Great Tribulation to start in 2021 or before 2024? What about the so-called Big Reset and the so-called Great Reset. The World Economic Forum has posted, “The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development sets out a 17 Global Goals (SDGs) to facilitate equal, sustainable and inclusive growth across the world, while promoting peace. … The platform seeks to form 4IR technology partnership … There is an urgent need for global stakeholders to cooperate in simultaneously managing the direct consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is starting The Great Reset initiative.” What are the main points of that according to Klaus Schwab? Will that happen in 2021? Did Glenn Beck warn against the Great Reset? What about property ownership changes? Will artificial intelligence and other 4IR technologies lead to the peaceful world that the United Nations is promoting for 2030 or instead to a totalitarian rule? Dr. Thiel answers these questions and more as he points to the return of Jesus and the establishment of the Kingdom of God.

Yet make no mistake about it–the end is coming and fairly soon–and most probably, sometime in the next ten or so years. But the Great Tribulation will not start in 2021 nor 2022 (if there is a major war in the Middle East that is resolved by the Fall of 2021, then maybe 2025).
Anyway, if you are willing to believe the Bible, you can understand that the Great Tribulation cannot start in 2021 or 2022.
