President Trump and anyone else linked to the U.S. strike one year ago that killed a notorious Iranian general “will not be safe on Earth,” a top official in Tehran warned Friday, according to a report.
Speaking in Tehran on Friday, Ebrahim Raisi, Iran’s judiciary chief, said not even Trump was “immune from justice” for his role in the strike in Baghdad that killed Gen. Qasem Soleimani, a major general in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Times of Israel reported.
“They will witness severe revenge,” Raisi told the gathering at Tehran University, referring to Trump and U.S. military leaders. “What has come so far has only been glimpses.”
“Do not presume that someone, as the president of America, who appeared as a murderer or ordered a murder, may be immune from justice being carried out. Never,” Raisi reportedly continued. “Those who had a role in this assassination and crime will not be safe on Earth.”
Sunday will mark the anniversary of the death of Soleimani, who was also the long-running leader of the elite intelligence wing called Quds Force – which itself has been a designated terror group since 2007. Considered one of the most powerful men in Iran, he routinely was referred to as its “shadow commander” or “spymaster.”
U.S. officials have said President Trump ordered the U.S. military strike that killed the 62-year-old general on an access road to Baghdad International Airport. Iran plans 20% uranium enrichment ‘as soon as possible’

Iran said Saturday it plans to enrich uranium up to 20% at its underground Fordo nuclear facility “as soon as possible,” pushing its program a technical step away from weapons-grade levels as it increases pressure on the West over the tattered atomic deal.
The move comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the U.S. in the waning days of the administration of President Donald Trump, who unilaterally withdrew America from Tehran’s nuclear deal in 2018.
That set in motion an escalating series of incidents capped by a U.S. drone strike that killed a top Iranian general in Baghdad a year ago, an anniversary coming Sunday that has American officials now worried about possible retaliation by Iran.
Iran’s decision to begin enriching to 20% a decade ago nearly brought an Israeli strike targeting its nuclear facilities, tensions that only abated with the 2015 atomic deal. A resumption of 20% enrichment could see that brinksmanship return.
Even Ali Akbar Salehi, the U.S.-educated head of the civilian Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, offered a military analogy to describe his agency’s readiness to take the next step.
“We are like soldiers and our fingers are on the triggers,” Salehi told Iranian state television. “The commander should command and we shoot. CNN Pentagon correspondent Barbara Starr reports Iran’s forces in the Persian Gulf are now on high alert, possibly in preparation for some level of either offensive or defensive action.
“Iranian maritime forces in the Persian Gulf raised readiness levels in last 48 hours,” Starr writes based on a US defense official. But it remains that it’s “not clear if moves are ‘defensive’ because expect US attack, or are signals Iran preparing for operations in the Gulf against the US,” the official said.
The Pentagon is bracing for many “unknowns” ahead of Sunday, which marks the one year anniversary of the killing of IRGC Quds Force Gen. Qassem Soleimani by US drone strike at Baghdad International Airport. Days ago the US flew a pair of B-52 bombers over the Persian Gulf as a “warning” aimed at deterring any Iranian attempt at retaliation for the Jan, 3rd, 2020 death of the popular Iranian general.
Threats and counter-threats have continued to be issued throughout the week, with the latest coming from Iran’s military on Friday, according to the AP:
The top commander of Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard [Gen. Hossein Salami] said Friday that his country was fully prepared to respond to any U.S. military pressure as tensions between Tehran and Washington remain high in the waning days of President Donald Trump’s administration.
So essentially both sides are poised with fingers on the trigger in anticipation of a provocation by the other side in an intensifying standoff which could very easily escalate into the very conflict both hope to avoid. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has further charged that Trump is attempting to generate a provocation or “pretext for war” – specifically with the prior B-52 flyover.
Iranian leaders have regularly made threats against the USA that they have not, thus far, been able to carry out.
Iran sometimes acts like it can defeat the USA (e.g. see ZH: Iran Evaluating 13 Retaliation Scenarios To Inflict “Historic Nightmare” On US).
It should be pointed out that the USA, despite its military strength, is vulnerable to being hurt by EMP weapons as well as nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, dirty bombs, terrorism, and biological weapons that Iran and/or its ally Syria possess–as well as Iran’s proxies in other lands. It has been shown in a test that EMPs can basically work as advertised, and this may give the Iranians more reason to look further into using them if they feel pressed.
But Iran does not currently have the military power to defeat the USA–and the USA wants to keep it that way.

According to September reports by the UN’s nuclear watchdog, Iran had over ten times the amount of enriched uranium allowed by the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers (Times of Israel, September 4, 2020). By November, the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) reported that number had increased twelvefold (ISIS, November 12, 2020). Back in September, Iran revealed they have a ballistic missile that can reach any part of the United States—stating in the headlines of a state-sanctioned newspaper, “American soil is now within the range of Iranian bombs” (Gatestone Institute, September 5, 2020). In addition, they warned, “The same type of ballistic missile technology used to launch the [military] satellite could carry nuclear, chemical or even biological weapons to wipe Israel off the map, hit US bases and allies in the region and US facilities, and target NATO even in the far west of Europe.”
According to the institute, “Iran now has sufficient low-enriched uranium to produce enough weapons-grade uranium for a second nuclear weapon, where the second one could be produced more quickly than the first” (FOX, December 2, 2020). Although Iran’s nuclear and other weapons programs are veiled in secrecy, there is a broadly accepted understanding that they have more capability than previously believed—and their rhetoric is dangerous and reckless.
End-time Bible prophecies indicate that nuclear weapons will likely be used on a global scale prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
Yes, Iran has been working on its military capabilities.
But what is ahead prophetically for Iran?

If Iran acts on some of its more violent threats, the Bible shows that Iran will not end up faring well.
Notice the following prophecy which indicates at least part of its destruction before the latter days:
34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, 35 “Thus says the Lord of hosts:
‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam,
The foremost of their might.
36 Against Elam I will bring the four winds
From the four quarters of heaven,
And scatter them toward all those winds;
There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.

And before those who seek their life.

Until I have consumed them.
38 I will set My throne in Elam,

Iran is having problems with its economy and COVID-19. The collapse of oil prices is also hitting Iran very hard.
Iran’s hope seems to be that the Biden-Harris Administration will loosen sanctions enough to help.
But if not, and/or because of internal issues or matters related to Israel, its leaders may well conclude that they need to do something to distract the minds of their citizens, like planning and then taking military action. Like having a military attack against Israel and/or doing major terrorism against the USA.
But, though Israel is prophesied to have damage (Isaiah 22:6-10), Iran will not do well.
Iran needs to be cautious as biblical prophecies suggest it will be involved in militaristic ventures, and ultimately that will not end well for Iran.
