Top financial leaders in the USA and Germany want to defend the Euro:

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner and German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble backed a commitment by European leaders to do everything needed to defend the euro area while failing to mention its weakest link, Greece.

The Euro has had a lot of problems over the years, but with the European confederation were predicted in the Bible (cf. Daniel 2:41-43).

As far as the USA supporting Europe, I wrote the following in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect:

American dollars will ultimately be of no value…

By virtue of his timing, Barack Obama will likely implement policies for many prophecies to be fulfilled…the Bible predicts that at the appointed time, a King of the North and a King of the South with rise. Various statements that Barack Obama has made suggest that he will implement policies that will likely help lead to the multi-national formations that will ultimately have these kings…Although Barack Obama is not, and will not, be the final Antichrist, there are reasons to believe that the rising of the prophesied final ten-horned beast power (Revelation 13:1)…Barack Obama has pledged increased cooperation with the Europeans. And while cooperation is normally a good thing, this particular cooperation is likely to lead to the rise of the prophesied King of the North, who is to be the final leader of the Beast of Revelation (Revelation 13:1)…

It would seem that once the U.S. dollar totally collapses people all around the world will consider that even if the Euro is strong, having a more gold-backed currency would be safer. Having the European power acquiring a lot more gold to back the Euro (even if the backing is only implied) or possibly other future European currency (that might potentially replace the Euro) may greatly increase European credibility, prosperity, and influence around the globe.

The Obama Administration continues to support the rise of the European power, as my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect stated it would and today’s news again confirms.

Eventually, despite Europe’s problems (cf. Daniel 2:42-43), Bible prophecy shows that Europe will be THE major economic superpower for a short time (Revelation 13, 18). And as I have written many times at COGwriter, I expect the euro to drop in value from time to time, and even to plummet should major civil unrest occur, until the euro (or whatever replacement currency Europe would have should the euro be dropped, including a possible world currency) becomes the actual world reserve currency essentially replacing the US dollar.

I have long felt that there is a possibility that the Euro may be replaced and I am still convinced that the US dollar will NOT remain the world’s primary reserve currency. Ultimately, despite potential Euro issues, Europe will reorganize and become a powerful military force (Revelation 17:12-13; 13:1-4; Daniel 11:39-43) as well as a more substantial economic one (Revelation 13, 18) for a short time.

The Bible shows that despite weakness (Daniel 2:41-43) there will be a reorganization in Europe. The Bible also shows that ultimately, a major dictator (and the person I currently suspect for that role currently holds no major official government office) will rise up and rule end time Babylon (Revelation 17:1-13), the final King of the North, European Beast power of Bible prophecy (Daniel 11:40).

And while Europe is not yet ready to support the final King of the North, we in the faithful Church of God have long taught that it will be.
